  1. Just noticed Scott Carson is third or fourth choice at city . God knows his wage , if he would drop down , his quality these days etc, just thought I’d throw it out there
  2. Eric Garcia has played quite a lot recently in the first team and he has given run outs to quite a few kids in the early rounds of the cups. Considering the quality and depth they have I don’t think it’s fair to Be overly critIcal. bellis harwood, Angelino, Brahmin Diaz, Celina are players off the top of my head I’ve seen Given opportunities plus foden, Garcia and Iheanacho used regular.
  3. Great tackle , won the ball, no malicious intent , no one hurt . Stop the world I’m getting off ??‍♂️Games gone ?
  4. I can not believe that was even a foul never mind a red card. What a tackle. Absolute joke
  5. Just saved a penalty to keep it 0-0 in the play offs and been impeccable all game ?‍♂️
  6. Raya was a decent keeper for us with bags of potential. If you look throughout the championship at the standard of keeping Nearly all the keepers I’ve watched are equal to or no better than raya. Who are people expecting to come in and be a massive upgrade on raya for us. Very few players suggested are easily better and I’m yet to see a reliable link that makes me think selling him would be the right decision if we got him etc.
  7. Take him as a number 2 maybe
  8. If I was waggott id be putting them on sale now at 20 grand reading this board
  9. Could name a cone after him on the Tony Parkes car park at brockhall
  10. I don’t even understand the financial support and loyalty to the club when they take it off you and give it to Richie Smallwood to spend on new Range Rover or Sam harts blow dry. Hard mostly working class people paying the wages of deadwood to go to the gym and have a kick about with there mates . they can jog on. We’re committed , are you NO !
  11. After the lockdown football we’ve endured I’d take maradona and Barry fry. At least we would be entertained even if it can’t be in the grass
  12. Is that really a thing ?? ?
  13. In Scotland isn’t a NED a non educated dilinquent
  14. Im certainly not writing him off. I believed he should have had first team experience with us in the same way a few of the young lads got game time this year. I’d take a good look at him pre season but without seeing him play and the only evidence In front of me is where he has played and not been given a chance with us when we are lacking in those areas then the chances are he has stagnated or reached his natural peak. He needs a pre season with us and then to be a serious contender for a shirt or let go. He’s not a kid anymore and has plenty of league experience albeit at a lower level. Sink or swim time
  15. Regarding Wharton, I thought he would be the next defender to have a good chance at holding down a place. The last defender I said that about was o Connell and wasn’t surprised to see him do well elsewhere, obviously I didn’t expect him to be as good as he is but new we had a player and lost out. Scott gave me the same feeling watching him. He got injured and then had been loaned around with the odd decent performance in our cup games. Scores the odd goal aswell. I haven’t seen anything of him for a couple of years but would include him pre season to have a good look. Sadly where he’s been playing and from the lack of noise around him can’t be tearing up trees and doesn’t bode well for a championship defence desperate for some quality and organisation
  16. Chris brown was the last highly rated player to come from donny. Might be a good player I’ve never seen him play but isn’t he a centre mid. Definitely don’t need to prioritise that position. Have you seen him play. What’s your opinion on him if you have ?
  17. Then you clearly aren’t familiar with a condition called chub rub ?
  18. I agree regarding the loan. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree regarding Evans. I often agree with most of your posts I just can’t see what evens offers and until someone like Davenport or Buckley steps up and shows what a proper cm should be doing then Evans will be acceptable to most fans. I expect far more from a player in his position than he offers .
  19. It’s so frustrating knowing what he can offer then watching Gallagher wasted out there being ineffective. I said time and again that Armstrong was a good player if he was played down the middle. I also stand by what I said about Gallagher . He is a good player, low on confidence being utilised wrong. I know big Sam would get a tune out of him.
  20. I’d rather play Bennett in the middle than Evans . I just don’t rate him whatsoever but it’s a game of opinions. If the loan was the right one then I wouldn’t be averse to him going . Getting kicked around at barrow won’t help him that’s for sure .
  21. I think we can all agree that chapman has the talent and somehow whether down to himself or Mowbray and his staff it needs to be utilised. I don’t know why he isn’t getting the opportunities, maybe he doesn’t deserve them, maybe he’s being held back but it would be a crying shame if his natural ability was wasted for whatever reason
  22. I honestly believe if he was given a run of games he would offer far more than a very injury prone and limited player in Evans. He would be one of the first out the door if it was up to me. I completely understand where your coming from with regards to what he has done in the first team thus far and whatever he has done at u23 levels ultimately is irrelevant. I just believe he will be a very good player if handled right. For now I would start Davenport next to travis as the two in the middle and give travis abit more freedom to push on. I can’t back anything up that I’m saying other than I believe he will be a really good player for us if given the right time and opportunity to develop
  23. From what I’ve seen of Buckley I have high hopes for him but i think a loan and regular first team football would do him the world of good. The question is where would he go ? He is a technically gifted player and I don’t think being kicked around the Lower leagues will do anything other than risk injury. He’s not quite ready for the first team as a starter and he’s far to good to stagnate in the u23s. Be good to see someone like Buckley go over to Holland or Belgium etc but our youth players always end up at barrow . Maybe cameos off the bench might be best for all concerned
