  1. Boycott has a history of talking out of his arse. If you can lose a test in a session it stands to reason that you can bloody win one in a session, given there are only ever two teams playing in a test.
  2. Struggling to properly follow that one tbh but... Marvin Gaye - Stubborn Kind Of Fella 😉
  3. That rain almost certainly gained Lancs a point, not that that would appease your poor parents!
  4. Esther Phillips - Home Is Where The Hatred Is
  5. A quick reminder that you can join the Trust here https://www.roverstrust.com/registration-page/
  6. Yes it was good to see a few BRFCS posters there, even though I could only join by video link. I hope all the presentations gave people food for thought. Some great questions asked as well. We need to keep our strategic focus, keep hammering the marketing issues and increase membership numbers as key objectives this year.
  7. Definitely MHSP but I don't remember him playing for the Council team (that doesn't mean he didn't ha ha). I played alongside him in the Park Lane Rangers youth teams (Patty was the third forward in that side). He was a nice lad yeah (and hopefully still is), but could handle himself on the park.
  8. When I was growing up, I used to play regularly with and against his son, Paul, no mean player himself. Mick was always there on the touchline giving his encouragement. He obviously loved the game and I'm glad to hear he's still with us and healthy too.
  9. Our first league game as premier league champions was also at home to QPR.........
  10. Baccara - Yes Sir, I Can Boogie
  11. The Jam - Running on the Spot
  12. Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel
  13. Our promotion dreams? This guy has wrecked 'em......
  14. What's Marlon Beresford doing these days?
  15. Ooh, I don't know about that - the way they are set up financially is just about as dodgy as it gets.
  16. The Style Council - Mick's Company
  17. Always love visiting Dundee, as you say its a great city. I used to have to go to a housing association (Servite, now part of the Caledonia group) in Broughty Ferry that used DC Thomson's old house as their office. The Board Room always reminded me of the one at the Rovers. Gorgeous oak panelling. Its changed a bit over the past few years though eh?
  18. John describes himself (and the Trust) as the 'critical friend' of the club, and I think that is strategically exactly the right position to be in right now. I think you've focussed in too much on the word 'friend' ('friendly' might have been more accurate tbf). There's an unpleasant whiff of aggressive immaturity about your latest posts, which is unlike you. I hope everything is okay.
  19. I have a great deal of respect for the efforts you have put in over the years Glen but frankly this is pathetic.
  20. The Beatles - Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me and My Monkey
  21. Yeah I appreciate that some sectors (particularly private sector) have done it for a long time, but I work in what you might call a 'quasi-public' sector, and it is a relatively new thing for us. Not least because the cost of recruitment is borne by our tenants so I guess we were always reluctant to spend anything that was deemed to be unnecessary.
  22. It seems to be the modern way TS, it happens all the time in my sector now when recruiting for top execs but 10 years ago it was unheard of. That said, from the outside looking in the DOF recruitment process didn't begin early enough, given the impending need for a new head coach.
