This is pretty much a free hit for us and I think we will take it and shade a high scoring game. Diaz 3 Mitrovic 2. -

I got badly injured in a pre season friendly that year. The unexpected bonus being that I was able to go to just about every game that season. It was one of my favourite seasons of watching the Rovers. That unbeaten run was fantastic. “We’ll take more care of you, Archibald” -
Isn’t he only playing because Wood is injured?

v Derby (a) - 30/10/2021

Yes it even happens to the best of them occasionally (Exhibit A - Liverpool yesterday), but it’s the frequency with which we have squandered a two-goal lead under Mowbray that worries me. I can very quickly off the top of my head think of about ten times where this has happened under him, many of which were at Ewood as well, which is pretty incredible really. -
Great to see England absolutely thump the Aussies yesterday. We seem to be strong in every department in this form of the game. I suppose the only negative is that when it comes to it, which it will at some point in the later stages of the tournament, some of our middle order batters haven’t had too much time at the crease. But definitely one for the ages yesterday.

We’ve had some success at Derby in the past, and looking at the match-ups in attack v defence on both sides I can see there being a few goals in this, so I’m going to guess 3-2 to Rovers. -

It was a close-ish finish Gav but at no point did I think Scotland would win that match today.

One or two of my Scots friends were giving it large over them qualifying for the Super 12s (or whatever it’s called). If they get battered by Namibia and Afghanistan I dread to think what the stronger teams will do to them. Stick to elephant polo is my advice Scotland 😂😂😂

I think there’s a difference between being competent with both feet and excelling with either foot. I doubt many right footed people would have been so good with their left everyone assumed they were naturally left footed, which was definitely the case with MGP. Pity his dad didn’t make him practice heading……..
-
At 0-2 with 10 minutes to go it will feel like a victory no doubt
-
I seem to remember being told that he was actually right footed but his dad made him practise constantly with his left, to the point where he was equally strong with either peg. Maybe I’m imagining that?
-
Also wasn’t MGP a natural right footer?
