  1. Bobby Moore would still have got 100 caps, that’s laughable Jim. He was miles better than anyone else even if Duncan Edwards had been around (I’m not saying he was better than Edwards but he was better than the rest). Now him and Duncan Edwards together and we might have been looking at two World Cup wins.
  2. My favourite Norman hunter memory was this one https://youtu.be/QALdVum0xEk
  3. Terry Callier featuring Paul Weller - Brother to Brother
  4. RIP Norman 'Bites Yer Legs' Hunter. A proper hard man when there were plenty of them around.
  5. The Electric Light Orchestra - Last Train to London
  6. I'd conveniently forgotten about the Celtic tie. The first leg result is the one I would change - losing that game was an absolute travesty, we were well beaten in the second leg to be fair but the damage had been done by not scoring an away goal or two after dominating them in front of their own fans. Plus all my in-laws were Celtic fans and I lived and worked in Glasgow so it stung badly.
  7. To be pedantic, as far as I recall three points for a win didn't come in until the following season Ian.
  8. Good thread! An absolute no-brainer for me. If I could change one result in Rovers' history it would be the 3-0 defeat at Selhurst Park in 1989. The worst feeling I have ever had walking off a football ground.
  9. Blondie - I'm Always Touched By Your Presence Dear
  10. Perhaps not technically the 'best' goal but the one Dunny scored to silence the Burnley family in the Darwen End in 2013 remains one of my favourite Rovers goals. That YouTube footage from a Dingle in the Darwen end is absolutely priceless.
