  1. FFS! What are we doing on the training ground? Shambles
  2. Not sure I feel too comfortable Rothwell deeper alongside Travis. Seems to be too much space centrally. Think Davenport might give us more balance.
  3. Beauty!!! SG first touch is still heavy, but he’s so much better as a central forward.
  4. If we were to take that approach, we would need to stop buying Center forwards with the touch of Donkey for 6 million quid, then play them on the wing
  5. I remember "defenders are coming" Not so sure in the end result is players are brought it.
  6. But we do have any money to replace him?
  7. Get in! What a gaff from the keeper. Not only did he miss it, he handles it right to BBS feet
  8. WBA clearly a better side, but we’ve gifted them the first goal and could have had penalties. Also BB should put away the Clarkson ball. Granted they could have 4, but all thing considered we’ve faired better than I expected before kick off.
  9. Agreed…reply clear it was on the chest
  10. Pickering loses Phillips there. He drifts right to the center of the goal giving Phillips yards of space on the back post.
  11. Atrocious referring there. Clearly in the chest.
  12. BB has to go down there. He’s goes to ground and that’s 100% a PK
  13. We’ve gotten 54% of the possession though. Ought to make TM tingle
  14. FFS…they could have scored 3 times in the first 30 seconds
  15. Obefemi is no different than the lot of our on player on expiring deals who have not put pen to paper. It appears we only have so much wage structure and it’s proving unsuitable for the older experienced players t this level abd even the young unproved from the premiership. You want to blame anyone for this blame the owners and the Keane, Berg, and Appleton. It’s proving more clear that parachute payment create a real disparity in the championship. It was so important to gain promotion before they ran out, but instead we fell further. Now the odds are stacked against us, as we work within FFP against sides that have nearly 100 million quid to throw about.
  16. I can see why TM plays Dolan up top. He’s a total pest. His pace and quickness cause real problems at this level. Not convinced he’s well suited there against a side like Millwall, but creates problems for sides trying to possess the ball and creat their attack from the back. Just wish there was a way that he could be a best to the center backs and then drop to provide cover so SG or BB could be an outlet when the press is beaten. I know it’s impossible for him to cover that much range.
  17. Hard not to get excited about this start as we’ve looked the better side in 2 of 3 and were well organized in the Millwall game. Ayala in the back is a difference maker for us. with that said we’ve take 7 of 9 against sides that only have taken 3 of 27. The weekend will be a real test as WBA look to be the class of the division.
  18. Great win! Dolan cannot continue as out #9. We have no outlet when we win the ball with him up top. Great pressure but need a target who can hold off two center backs
  19. Sure but you have to gather we’re going to bring at least one CB in on loan, so we can rotate him later when we have alternatives. If he’s fit play him. He’s more than likely going to break down either way, so play him whilst we can and don’t have alternatives.
  20. Sometime you make a difference by cheering on your mates.
  21. I don’t think we can continue to play Dolan up top against the more physical direct sides, like Millwall. It’s too difficult for us to keep the ball when there’s no outlet. He’s a ball of energy and a real pest but with SG and BB wide, we have no ability to get up and out. Too bad BB and SG aren’t much better in the air than him. Hope Rothwell is ok, he had a strong match.
  22. Good result. We’re going to struggle against physical direct teams. Need to be better getting forward, moving Dolan out of the 9 role helped us get a hold up front better. Great to see Diaz scoring, would love to see his confidence grow.
  23. Chapman seems out of his level out there.
  24. Drab. We have no outlet up top. Diaz, SG and Dolan routinely beaten when we play it forward. Without any pressure up front, 0-0 is probably the best we could ask for. Without the high press from last week hard to see where the goals will come from.
