[Archived] Come Back Dunny
USABlue replied to Uddersfelt Blue's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I assume you are referring to me there Phillip. Please read my post again. With open eyes this time. Try to grasp what I was actually saying, please. As for Robbie Fowler I was curious, as the thread clearly states. There have been more than one case of players having their careers resurected you know. My comments on Dunn are to simply point out the irony on peoples views, hence the reference to Crouch. I mentioned Crouch showed a few good touches and was slated for it, Dunny shows a few good touches and its let's go get him back, I find the irony and inconsistancy amazing.. Please try to start reading the posts with an open mind instead of a prejudiced sort of way. By the way how's MGP doing folks? "Pretty inconsistant"? How about not good enough. "PLayed for a manager he clearly despised" Mmm hwat about the fat paycheck he was picking up as he was despising the manager, professionalism???? I have liked what I have seen of Dunn since his return and would not be upset by his return its the blind fervour and blinkered bullshit that irritates me. A La MGP for about 6 weeks now,. -
I'll put my hand up now, I did not see the game and I only listened to bits of it. According to the commentarty we were not up for this one. Is that true? If so it is totally unacceptable.

I've seen a few nice touches and a good shot or two, but as someone said (albeit hypocritically, I was talking about Crouch at the time) a few good touches doesn't make a good player. Now all of a sudden we're on about Dunn and a good touch or two makes him worth bringing back. Nuts inint.? Talk about your double standard. -
I can't say I've seen much in the way of entertainment at any Bolton games I've seen. Not from Bolton anyway.

Seems like I mentioned this about MGP a few weeks ago and got a right ticking off. -

I was just thinking the same thing wags, he seems to have been putting in consistently good performances based on some accounts -

So that's another sending off, a penalty to West Ham and several shouts for us turned down. Apart from Smiley Riley I have a bad feeling about this one I now hear Nelsen is out too, a hamstring, is the ghost of Souness past back to haunt us. Jansen on the bench for all you Jansen is god folks. -

Philly, give it up, you're on about the U.S. nobody there gives a rats ass. It's a tough group but it will be even more remarkable when the USA get's thru, you watch, they'll do it. -
Of course you'd be happy jim, you'd have something to moan about then
-
Mmmm, likely just long enough to see him through the transfer window. I doubted he (Bellamy) would play 50% or our games, but it is a sickener. Do we have an actual confirmation from the club. Not going to say we are doomed but I am sure just his mere presence on the pitch keeps defenders on edge. We'll have to find a different way to score is all.

I bow my humble self in your great moderaterness' direction. Ta much.

That was not the intent of your post thought was it. You were just having your same boring go at the Walker family
-
I second that and have asked the same previously, as have several others. Why is nothing done, it's bleeding obvious that this individual has nother to offer this board other than THE SAME ###### ###### every post. There I said it, now do something.

We should all know by now there are different laws for different teams. I can bet top dollar if Todd's exact same incident had happened with Ferdinand or Terry or Campbell etc at home Mr Halsey would have been flapping play on. After his last debacle with us I watched him ref a game the following week, it was like two different refs. -

Was this a case of Halsey doing the double over us. He gave Liverpool the game and now Everton, Notlob plonker. Might as well have a Dingle ref one of our games. MGP missed a sitter sounds like corners sounded atrocious. Again us fans go on about how many of these up coming games are winnable and we get shot in the foot. I remember someone doing the same last season and we had a torrid time. Makes West Ham something of a must win, don't ya think. Come on you blues. -
It was the Heinekens. It really does refresh the parts other beers can not reach

Haven't been around long have you? Don't need to hate him, fact is I was one of his staunchest supporters to the end. I feel cheated by him now that's all. I still enjoy his persona, charisma and of course he always looks smart. The 3 players you mention, how much did he spend on 'em? We all know the Geordies have not won a lot but they have not been this bad in a long time.

What about when you were manager of Blackburn Rovers, what did you learn to live with? Hamstrung Rovers, now Hamstrung Toon, it's the training pitches? Grab a knob Graeme, it's 2005. Players now are finely tunes athletes, a quick kick around 2 or 3 times a week is not enough. I am so angry at myself for blindly following this individual. (Note, I did not say man) So many things have become so much clearer since he left. He engineered his move (remember the call about Shearer, was it? or was it Hi Freddy I'm available?) My apologies to those who I defended him against, Revidge is one, jim you don't count cos your only beef was about a hello to your lad not football, The man has taken a HUGE club with all the potential in the World and made them a pile of ######. (laughing stock) They are below us FFS. Selling Duffer and Dunn, compounded with Matty's career ending injury found him out. Our three crown jewels were carrying the man in spite of himself. As they disappeared so did we as a team. My humblest apologies but I never saw it then, I do now. I see him differently now, I really do, thanks for everything GS but the whole world now knows what I did not. You are lost in the past, you were a great player but one MUST roll with the changes. May Cotterill go to Toon and Burnley come begging for your services. Just reward cos I really feel, belatedly, that not only did you (Please don't use that word again) us but you knew what you were doning when you did it.

The man must have some outstanding self control, I bet the secretaries were wondering what the hysterical laughter was about that must have been coming out of his office when the deal was inked.
