  1. Sorry jdt had run his race, he was done weeks before he finally went. I can’t forgive putting pears in when we had a fit kaminski, think a few are rewriting history with how tactically astute jdt was
  2. Tbf I don’t know any rovers fans that stay we should stick with venkys , heard this myth a lot over the years but yet to find this strange and not of this planet beast
  3. Ben Davies, Kieran dowell and Tom Lawrence all told to find new clubs by rangers, they aren’t sexy signings but they are all champ worthy , fairly steady eddies that would improve our squad
  4. Fair play to Ipswich, can’t help but feel a bit jealous , massive egg on my face as I told a fan at the start of the season that they would probably get relegated if they had Walton in goal. still, they will get battered next year
  5. Sammy is one of those strikers that you want to be given a bit of time to think about what he is wanting to do with it, when it comes and him quick and he just reacts he isn’t too good. opposite to a lot of strikers that can’t score when they have time as it gets in their head too much but are decent instinct strikers. Probably like an Armstrong
  6. Difference of opinion, i would want us to show our intention from the start , catch them cold from their celebrations , play like we did in the fa cup tie there last season, hooefully dolan is in the same mood
  7. I really wanted to like Leo but initially I thought he was a flapper but a decent shot stopper but then there was a game the ball went in like middle of the goal as if it just went right through him. if he can’t catch a ball and is dodgy on crosses, unless he really works and improves on that he won’t make it in this league. id go back to bromby in the summer and say you can have him now for 250k-500k and cut our losses , we don’t have time for a dodgy keeper. pears is a number 2 and that’s where he should remain. a decent experienced champ keeper brought in to take over as our number 1
  8. Not quite sure what Alan Browne is wanting, if it’s more money, a change or a bigger team but he is digging his heels in with a new Preston deal, I’d be shoving a contract his way to mull over
  9. I think we go for an early goal, would relax us immensely if we have a 2 goal buffer
  10. His only impression on me was missing a header that would have got us an unlikely point in a game, I can’t even remember who it was against, Birmingham? but yes, another point would have been great right about now
  11. We will try and stifle a 0-0 but ultimately no we won’t win nor gain a point. I wish our gd was better or the other teams had less favourable games but it is what it is, I think Plymouth will go
  12. This. I too have defended him in the past but we really need a goal scorer not a forward who is handy to have at the back , best way I can put it is that he is a striker who doesn’t crave goals, never seen that hunger in him
  13. My prediction for last day sunderland score early 1-0 v owls birmingham score mid way through first half 1-0 v Norwich we are 0-0 at ht plymouth and hull 0-0 ht plymouth score early in second half 1-0 v hull owls equalise v Sunderland Leicester score about 70 mins to put us in the bottom 3 , a cock up at the back birmingham score a 2nd Leicester score a second and we are done for saving ourselves Norwich pull one back 2-1 Sheff we’d score a second, now 2-1 up we now go into the last 10 mins praying for an equaliser in 2 of the games late hull goes saves our bacon for another season We scrape in by a point
  14. Loved him but no, his race is run, those injury’s have goosed him
  15. I have stuck up for him since he came in really , as he was left a mess of a squad with no power to get his own players in but im not seeing anything to give me confidence that he is a winner and can stop our decline. Fluffed 2/3 good opportunities to get us safe and just hasn’t been brave enough to get us wins instead of draws. When are we going to get a late winner? I don’t want a scared manager, that breeds onto the pitch. we need something different, give me a sheff wed or qpr type appointment
  16. Gentlemen’s agreement for a point , they can run out their ressies, cmon Leicester , we have a decent relationship I think….
  17. Hull lucky to get a point in the end, it was a tough watch but we have them going for the win v Plymouth . Genuinely think that game is our best hope
  18. Couldn’t write that from a rover point of view, needing hull to get something, Morton mistake leads to a clinical finish from hirst. What kind of universe is this
  19. Frustrating that we lost our gd advantage to Birmingham, lost 2-0 to Bristol city instead of 5 and you would be fairly confident that we were safe tonight, as it is we can’t get beat and Birmingham win without us losing out on gd, slim margins but we tend to not fall on the right side of these, albeit as mentioned above a lot of that is our own doing
  20. Ahh taking it to the wire, course we are. Sounds like we should have won that today and made all rovers fans enjoy their Saturday night but not the rovers way
  21. Thought he was superb v Newcastle and probably will have another big move on the horizon but palace fits him well at this time, play nice stuff and got some great young players there. Everything I wish rovers were tbh
  22. No doubt about it, we need something in this game, I am going to keep myself busy with other stuff, I think if I watched it I would seriously trouble my heart
  23. The being in the bottom 3 only on the last day hasn’t been lost on me either, it would be so typical of us and relegated on goal difference again, we never get the right side of it
  24. It was just such a bad time to do that, we could still have salvaged a draw from 1 down but 2 and we were done, as it was we barely layed a glove on them thereafter. I am still absolutely fizzing from that yesterday, I was so looking forward to being safe and lifting this anxious feeling. i echo the sentiments on here about being absolutely lost in my feelings towards the club, as above I can’t just switch off but I’m just so embarrassed by the club at the moment it’s not in the least bit enjoyable. From the players with their clown boots on to the boardroom with their transfer cock ups, to the owners who won’t set foot in the stadium, whole thing just stinks and it doesn’t happen anywhere else, absolutely the laughing stock of the football league. if we go down I don’t think I can continue, I can’t do league 1 again, it’s too painful. It will be a look at the results at 5pm type season and do something else with my Saturdays. I think this season has been the straw that’s broke the camels back for quite a few, would not be surprised if st sales are hit badly
  25. There will be a few I’d imagine who would want to put things right and who are hardly going to have teams busting down the door to get them wharton jrc Pickering but yes loads of changes needed regardless of what league we are in
