  1. And yea on walton, I think I’m pretty much done, I get that it’s a hard position, often thankless and for that I can forgo some mistakes, what I can’t tho is he gives me palpitations every match, I just never have confidence in him, and for a keeper that’s a bad trait. Next please
  2. Inevitably they go hand in hand eventually , can’t continue to grind out results like we were hence the reason we fall off a cliff when time comes and we pick up a few knocks/ tiredness. It was job done in league 1, it was nothing to be over enamoured with, we shouldn’t have been there in the first place
  3. How often were we convincing? We had by far the best player in the league and squad. IMO we should’ve won the league. The league was ever weaker than it is now , it’s amateur level. Btw how did our marquee signing whittingham go that year? Think your sticking your head in the sand a bit if you can’t see blame on our playing style to mowbrays tactics and signings. We are awful to watch and support. Any run of wins is inevitably followed by defeats, it’s absolutely painful to support the club at the moment. Mowbray isn’t a guy I can get behind, there is no plan in place. The sticking players out of position is criminal
  4. Mashed potatoes your argument that we wouldn’t get any better manager in Is both annoying and ruled by fear. Exactly the type of ‘it will do, just accept it’ attitude that has got us to where we are in the first place. I will always want bigger and better for this club, to mr mowbray has done nothing for the squad or playing style since he got here. We couldn’t even dominate or over power teams in league one. Gets a free ride from so many for so little
  5. Lansbury is the only one Iv been told but don’t think it’s a goer
  6. Nah there won’t be a big signing January, couple of loans
  7. Get what your saying but fergy took over Man Utd when he spent his career in Scotland with only lower league Scottish contacts, sometimes folk just need an opportunity. A gamble - yes. A deserved shot at the bigger stage- I’d say so. Got Wycombe to the top of their league on a shoestring , playing good football . He wouldn’t be my number 1 but he is one I could get behind was my point. Same as Johnson
  8. Not Grayson , of no improvement on mowbray. would be fine with hughton, Johnson or ainsworth
  9. Yup I agree, downing and more so graham with a warm handshake and a you will forever be welcome back here but it’s time to move on due to age, the rest out the back door as not good enough. It really is time to be ruthless and stepping up to be ambitious.
  10. *coughs* holtby is this years rodwell. Can look good in spells but overall isn’t the long term solution and fitness issues means he will probably be off end of the season having really in reality failed to deliver what he was brought in to do. There Iv said it
  11. Not an argument I like to be honest in the let’s stick with a poor manager because there could always be worse and I’m afraid of what we would get. Be ambitious and strive for better ffs
  12. Bar that wee run I think we have been desperate too, beat off some amount of guff
  13. Johnson until the end of the season, see how he goes. If an opportunity arises with a name that can turn this club around arrives in the summer, take it. I wanted Pearson but he is turning Watford around instead sadly
  14. Well didn’t take long for my swimming against the tide mowbray caution to bear fruit. still still still want the guy away from this club my main crimes - never creating a fluid team in his tenure, it’s so stop start it’s unreal. It’s never pretty it’s grinding. - transfers, gallagher and brereton especially are sackable on their own. I really want them to come good but it’s not happening. I still think there is a player in gallagher and he won a lot of headers and flicks today but needs someone to work with - body language on the sidelines, praise on players not worthy and condemning other. Travis has been reigned in and looks average now. Bigging up other teams all the time, just stop has to go for me if we have ambitions on top 6 next season
  15. Yup sure as Xmas dem mowbray defeats are coming . Another poor performance
  16. Sum up feelings right now with- we aren’t a top 6 squad. Do you feel confident in every player in every position, until we are we aren’t going anywhere. We have players that turn up 1 game in 5 and some that just aren’t good enough. We will never batter a team by 3-4, instead grind out nicked wins, which you can’t do forever. Wasted money on non 8/10 players every game which we can’t afford to. That’s where we are
  17. Iv got to say, all those clamouring from rothwell must be feeling a bit silly now. Nowhere near the answer. Show pony with no end product and dangerous liability, doesn’t keep the ball well enough, league one player
  18. See my strongly tipped mowbray replacement Pearson is turning Watford’s season around, missed a trick there
  19. Your probably right but the thing about the champ this season, I don’t think any of them are horrific teams and all capable of going on a run. All will probably feel a little hard done by being in the bottom 3. Put it this way, I wouldn’t feel confident of us beating any of them
