  1. Sounds like we have been awful from the second minute
  2. I’d like a manager who was tough but fair. He is quite happy to blame his own players that he doesn’t fancy but if your loyal to him he shows blind faith. Can tell you a few of the players don’t particularly like him- rothwell for one. Feels no matter what he does he can’t be a regular. Nyambe another. He isn’t the lemon drizzle cake humble manager he likes to portray in the media
  3. Do people still see mowbray as a nice guy or has his mask slipped enough for you yet? Last night was yet again the true mowbray with that ballboy. He has a temper and snaps
  4. Not saying he sorted it, saying he did as promised to fans
  5. In mowbrays defence- which I don’t often, he gets criticised for saying the defence isn’t good enough and changes will be made, from that defence he has shipped out raya, Mulgrew and bell benched. He did bring in Cunningham so defenders did come and changes were made
  6. If mowbray and the club really did have no interest in fan opinion then why host the fans evenings? Fans are the heartbeat of the club, without us there is no club. Sure they can’t please everyone but they like to know opinion.
  7. You say that but some of the stuff he does suggests that he does. Defence was a stick to beat him with last season, so now he can get clean sheets at the expense of goals. Clamour for Smallwood and Evans dropped and then they are. Yes sometimes he is stubborn and won’t change but other times he does seem to think if he doesn’t bow to pressure then he will be untenable
  8. Think chapman was fan pressure , mowbray signs these flair players then doesn’t like them defensively, seems odd
  9. Really wish we had just signed Cunningham
  10. For this instance I’d play downing in at lb. bell has never fully convinced and I just think it’s a mistake waiting to happen. Williams is horrible at left back and deserves to be centre after displays. my team would be walton nyambe lenihan williams downing rothwell travis johnson chapman dack gallagher but we all know Bennett will be right back
  11. Was working sadly so didn’t watch live but recorded and watched the full game so thoughts- great 3 points, always love an away victory. I’d say at the moment that was a battle between two mid table champ teams, we aren’t ballsy enough to grab teams by the throat and destroy them racking up a big victory but we can dig deep for 1-0 victories which we couldn’t do last season. We don’t look as flimsy holding onto a lead so mowbray gets some credit for improving the spine. Player thoughts- cunningham, wow, what a difference, sign him up. An ever bigger impact than reed. Bennett- you know what he wasn’t horrible but grosicki has him. He simply isn’t a right back, that’s not his fault it’s mowbrays. For me rb has to be number 1 position for transfer. I don’t think nyambe is the answer and we have seen what a difference Cunningham makes. Walton- I think he is a slight upgrade on rays for calmness alone. I know it’s not a long term answer but yea he will do. Good pen save. Johnson- love his aggression and that he can strike a ball. Hate his sloppiness in our own half, he is going to be the cause of many goals against. Needs to sharpen up. williams- I have slated him so much, but you know what, I’m changing. At centre back, he was brilliant. My mom. Take it back del, your not horrific. Downing- again I was against this signing purely because of his age, always thought he had good ability. His calmness and control is incredible though, so I take it back, I’m glad he is here. I’m a downing fan. travis- I thought he was a bit poor despite others raving. He made an incredible tackle on Bowen but his passing was very sloppy. Gave the ball away a lot and doesn’t look the same travis that burst into the team. I’m critical because I rate him and I think he is better than this showing. Gallagher- thought he was a handful. Needs to get in amongst the goals tho. Should’ve headed at goal. But I like him. Armstrong- frustrating wee bugger. Don’t quite know what I think of him to be honest. Not sure he has ‘it’ upcoming- cardiff, I’m devastated Cunningham can’t play else I’d be pretty confident of making it 3. Would honestly play hart left back as bell is as good as starting -1 goal. Mowbray- you have a long way for me to want you here but that was a effecient performance. Nout better than winning. Keep it up
  12. Nice to get a win, hopefully first of many
  13. A win and mowbray buys some time, a draw and there is still uncertainty, a loss and the crowd turns and he is on thin ice, a loss by more than two- untenable and has to go tonight
  14. More meaning games that I was full of confidence we would win and wanted us to win badly. The Celtic Eufa cup game was the other as I’m from Glasgow and I was wanting bragging rights so bad. Special mention to the Newcastle fa cup defeat replay when Lee Clark broke my heart too
  15. Cannot lose. Quite simply
  16. Trelleborg, gee thanks for reminding me of that one. One of only two nights I was deeply hurt by a rovers defeat
  17. All is not well with Tony, falling out with folk that he used to be loyal too, his inner circle is getting tighter and smaller. Making some quite simply barking decisions in both transfer market and tactics, there is those in the inside that want a change and those who are scared that if he went they would too. Mowbray is getting jumpy tho, despite his strong position with waggot, I think it’s unlikely he is still here in a year
  18. That was pretty ill advised that episode to be honest, I think he should stay off it
  19. I’d take losing this to can mowbray, he is sucking the enthusiasm from me at the moment. Change needed
  20. Not going to lie to you, I was never overly keen on his appointment. I live in Scotland and his reputation up here is of a joke figure after his disaster at Celtic. Not to mention his poor spell at Coventry subsequently. I just don’t see him as an attractive appointment. He in turn took us down- yes it was a big ask but he could’ve pulled it off being a bit braver. He got us up but I would argue any average manager would’ve got our squad up that season- I don’t buy the look at Sunderland , Leeds argument. It’s a poor league and with even a bit of know how and money you can get out it. Last season he blew the transfer windows, having got us in a position to challenge top 6 he threw it away. He has never sorted our defence which has been lacking since early bowyer days. His tactics are defensive and unadventurous. His substitutions never seem to work. For all the nonsense that he likes to play good football I see nothing but hoofball the last few seasons. He shows blind loyalty to players whose talent don’t deserve nor warrant it. He can’t attract players a bigger name would. For some reason he hasn’t started European scouting until recently. Which to me says he is a 90s dinosaur of a manager. If you look at the top teams in the champ and lower end prem, most have a foreign manager with a good background at a top club and bring new methods and ideas or young up and coming managers who are hungry and passionate. Tone just stands by showing no passion and even his voice his monotone, it’s doesnt excite or grab me. So yea that pretty much sums up why I don’t rate him. oh and we have lost our first two games and 2019 has been a disaster in terms of results generally
  21. Think it’s a big game next week, simply cannot lose or mowbray might start getting some serious heat. Personally I think his time is up already but for the lovers it might be time
  22. Mulgrew to rangers hahahaha iv heard it all now. No no no way I’m hell would Mulgrew play for rangers , he buys Celtic memorabilia still to this day.
  23. Is there a thread for horses? I like a flutter on them and will happily take any tips going
