Tbh though, Chaddy thought BB was a steal, so him not rating Madisson after a single appearance means he will probably go on to do well.

On the Hull forums where it is pretty depressing as you might imagine, they are saying that he was their only shining light. Must have been difficult to come into a team that has just as many injuries as us but has also sold their two best players. Their back line was essentially academy players.

As others have pointed out - we could not have more perfect opposition as they arguably have more injuries than we do, have sold their best two players, and have not won in 5 matches. That surely has to give our morale a boost a little - if we were away at WBA or something, sure, I would be worried but this lot are there for the taking even accounting for our injuries.

Why?

Hull lost their two best players this window in Bowen and Grosicki and have lost 4 out of the last 5. We always seem to do quite well against them too. So it will be 0-1 Maddison.

MM obviously believes he is worth more and he isnt young anymore at 26. Probably got two or three contracts left and so obviously wants them to be decent enough to compensate the probably 'poor' contracts he has received thus far in his career. As it has turned out, a loan is probably his best bet as if he performs, there is a good chance he might finally get that contract that he craves once his current deal expires in the summer. At the end of the day, if a club feels he is worth it, they will offer it. I strongly believe that MM is the 'ripped jeans' guy after our promotion.

Time for JRC, Chapman, Davenport and a few more from the youngsters to step up and stake a claim for themselves. Could be a blessing in disguise but you would have to say that playoffs are now definitely out of the window - if they were not already.

I have a sneaky feeling we might nick this one. We are fast starters and seem to be a 'little' better at game management. Actually, thats a little harsh, I think that is one area where we have come on leaps and bounds from last season. i would not be disappointed with a draw though. Plus, we always seem to do a bit better against the teams that come at us.

That was a really tough watch. My friends grandfather has Alzheimers and I have seen the strain it has put on their family. Something needs to be done and quickly to not only honour this man but also to provide some support for the family.

If it is a loan, I hope it is someone on the fringes of a club that cannot break into the first team for whatever reason rather than some 18-year old kid. We are a very young side anyway and have plenty of our own talent coming through. We should do something similar like when we got Reed in - a player that is hungry to kick on his career. Perhaps even a loan with a view to buy.
