  1. Think somebody mentioned he has to get through the next 4 matches without a booking.
  2. Quite, I read loads of other clubs forums throughout the season and have not once, heard us called that.
  3. I thought he didnt read social media and the like?
  4. None of the above fills me with confidence but Mulgrew and Tosin together would be terrible. They are two 'cultured' CBs rather than 'no nonsense'.
  5. Think that is where it was first as the LT story links to it.
  6. Of course, it would just be nice to get there for once. Will be a lottery we would likely lose but you never know.
  7. I think most are against it because they always lose when they do 5 quid games - they call it a bit of a curse.
  8. Make no mistake, Brentford will be tough. A massive +27 GD, best defence (Jansson and Raya big reason for this) and second best attack in the league. What a statement it would be if we were to beat them.
  9. Yes, Charlton fans have been very balanced in their views. https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/88284/charlton-v-blackburn-sat-15-feb-3pm-ko-post-match-thread Lots of praise for Walton, Nyambe, and Buckley and one of the best teams to play at their place this season.
  10. Top of the form table for the last 6 (which is the only one I usually look at) - hats off to the team in how they have responded and stepped up to us losing a large chunk of our first team. Samuel is like a different player to when I last saw him, Downing is such a model professional (is there any position he hasn't played this season?, and looked good in all of them), Nyambe has been a revelation and i cannot think of many fullbacks in this division I would have over him, and Tosin (who do i have to suck off for him to come here permanently?) TM might have had his hand forced by injury but well done sir, you have had us closer than most to the playoffs and you have got this team working their socks off for you. Pull out a win against Brentford and you have to say we well in the mix for a playoff finish.
  11. Well, this is the sky commentary (although you will have to watch some inferior goals first). Actually, its a good watch, class goals all the way through. Unfortunately, Tugay's cuts off before the co-commentator says anything.
  12. Get a foreign lad in. Even if we wanted to sign Walton, he would cost more than he is probably worth seeing as he is on PL whack (though not huge amounts). And what do we get? Bang average if you ask me - decent but that's about it. Our long spoken about Euro scouting should be up and running after about 33 years - so I would hope that a GK would be on the agenda.
  13. Armstrong has been in a rich vein ever since he started that Angel of the North celebration - seriously though, if he keeps this up, he really will become the mini-Shearer.
  14. There was one commentary for that Fulham goal where he literally squealed "Tuuuugayyyy"!
  15. All keepers in the championship are prone to mistakes. Look at the Leeds keeper who is now being dropped, the Brentford keeper that Raya replaced, the Hull keeper that gifted us a goal. They really are not all that at this level. Either young and up and coming or not good enough for the top level. This is why I like the idea of going down the foreign route. Walton will cost a lot despite being 4th choice at Brighton. He is English, probably on a decent wedge already. Could we not find someone else, at least on his level somewhere else for cheaper?
  16. I think that even most of us that do not particularly rate Walton would say that your opinion is way off there - Steele was an embarrassment and he continued to embarrass when we somehow mugged Sunderland off for him.
  17. Where did Coventry come from as well? They have three games in hand over Peterborough.
  18. Tbf, the majority of those goals have come against a 10-man Wednesday and probably the worst team that has been seen at Ewood for years.
  19. I voted no but as a number 1. We were always told we would be bringing in an experienced GK with a youngun as number 2. As the number 2 - fine.
  20. Extended highlights if anyone hasn't seen them yet.
