  1. Agree, this window (whenever it happens) will all be about frees. So many players are and will be released or have their contracts not renewed due to financial reasons. The good part about this is that players will be hit the hardest. They wont be able to command the wages that they did previously - at least not in the short term.
  2. Martinez is a much better keeper than Walton. I agree on Oxford though - dont know much about him but midfielders converted to CBs rarely works and tends to point to issues such as injuries or age catching up. Olsson, hmmm. Not ideal long term but I doubt you could say we have better here. Even if for one season he would be better than what we have. Cunningham would be the better option longterm i agree.
  3. A winger that can also be played as a striker...surely that's a bit backwards for TM Was a starter in the Huddersfield promotion team - so there is some pedigree there.
  4. Not sure how a big yellow face with glasses appeared in that post.
  5. Just to pick out his part. Not sure TM is a good example to use when suggesting our fans are fickle. This is a manager that goes on huge losing runs and then some good winning runs. Fans of any club in the country would be calling for his sacking after the sort of runs we have suffered. Many would then turn to support him once he turns those around and then the team goes on to show some good form for an extended amount of time. Lets be honest, he would have been sacked elsewhere after some of the losing runs we have had.
  6. Flanagan is a good shout. He can play in either fullback position. Would defo have him at LB. Think he suffered a lot of injuries despite a promising start for Liverpool. Judging from Rangers, fans, his first season was a little up and down but he ended strongly to keep the shirt over that of Halliday (another FB). They say he has struggled with weight and a few niggling injuries. Edit; Actually after reading this post on the 6 players departed where he barely gets a mention (until page 3) above the others - might be best to avoid. https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/wes-halliday-flanagan-holt-rossiter-alnwick-all-leaving.121249/page-3 Should be all over Foderingham on a free though.
  7. Absolutely. Linked to the likes of Zidane and Dugarry and we brought in Dailly and Holmes. No team stands still and looks to improve. Those two were squad fillers rather than being standout improvements. We could have attracted the best players in the world and for a bit of investment, could have continued to be one of the top dogs competing for the title and cups for years to come. Instead we fell away.
  8. Speaking of goals against the Geordies, who was that young striker (think he was geordie too) that got a goal against them? Think it was back when Shearer was injured. Edit* Found him myself. Graham Fenton. Yes he was Geordie and he scored two goals against Newcastle. Shearer was not injured, he set both goals up. So to conclude, two Geordies conspired to cost Newcastle the title. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/graham-fenton-famous-double-strike-4039474
  9. That's not being clever. Men have known that trick since the beginning of time. Asked to do a job? Do it badly enough that you never get asked again.
  10. If you die due to COVID-19 because we made you play: we are not liable, it is your own fault. Sign here:
  11. Make sure she is well bored and she might agree.
  12. Read three pages with most of the earlier posts being about, "have you read Greg Clarkes comments" "you have not read my post" "Please read my post" "Why you ignoring my post" "read what Greg Clarke said in my post' Damn annoying
  13. Jack Walker, FFP, SAF and Utd - All buzz words that should not be mentioned unless you want to read rants from Vinjay
  14. My point is that you either have to finish the season or null it. Guessing how the season finishes is completely unfair. How do we know that Leeds might not collapse again? How do we know that we might make a surge and finish in the playoffs? How do we know that one of the bottom three might put a good run together and avoid relegation?
  15. Only just watched the second season. My thoughts align with most on here. Charlie certainly loves himself a bit too much but underneath you can tell he really wanted it to work out. The owner seems a nice chap but well out of his depth - i was cringing as he kept upping the offer for Grigg. Crazy money for a L1 signing - makes Dack look even more of a masterstoke. They wanted the record for the highest attended L1 match but also got one for the biggest transfer dud.
  16. That's still far fewer upset clubs than if you end the season on a points-by-game basis. You will have all relegated clubs up in arms and anyone currently in 4th, 5th and 6th and those that had a chance of making the playoffs. You cannot just guestimate how the season will finish - its wrong. You either finish the season or null and void it. As the former is a logistical mess - the easiest option is the latter. As for your second question, dunno, perhaps a poker tournament involving PL managers? Draw straws? i dont really care. Put the same teams that were in it this season.
  17. Exactly - the above scenario is far more unfair than just starting again with all teams in the same division as they are now. The only losers are the Liverpools, Leeds etc who will feel they deserve their trophies/titles/promotion etc. Call me morbid but I am quite interested to see how this is going to pan out and how it will shake up football. I think everything has to be done to keep clubs afloat first and foremost.
  18. Its a complete mess that will lead to unhappy clubs no matter how it all pans out. The finishing of L1 and 2 as mentioned above, the relegated clubs and those in the playoff hunt will now be readying their lawyers. I think the only solution is to null the season and start again in August next year. Sucks for Leeds, Liverpool (poor sods LMAO) and the like but all this behind closed doors nonsense, playing in Australia etc is pointless in my opinion. Also, many players will refuse to play and rightfully so due to COVID.
  19. Oh dear! I was praying that you were 60 or something. Twice a month (if I am lucky) is the norm - really not sure what is up with her this past week but I am not complaining. Saying that, 3 times in five years by the time I reach 45 is giving me nightmares all ready (and those are daydreams).
  20. At 41 years of age, I guess I still have that to look forward to. Thanks for letting me know that it gets worse!
  21. Had sex 3 times in a week for the first time in about 5 years.
  22. I have gone old skool and am playing Championship Manager 01/02. Legally free to download and is updated by these guys - https://champman0102.co.uk/. I am playing it with our current squad - but 20-years ago. Brings back tons of memories and is quicker to play as it is not bloated with all the additional stuff you have to do on FM these days. Can even play it on Android.
  23. Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....Please happen here.....
  24. Good read that. Forgot about Sutton getting arrested before he signed for us.
  25. Nice to see this - tough lot us Rovers.
