  1. Now perhaps we will see more of JRC. Shame for Rothwell as he had a great first half in the last match. Could have kicked on from there.
  2. Exactly - not sure why people pick and choose certain numbers. Keep it to the basic last 6 games as that is 'current' form.
  3. Yes, it was put in on the 23rd, so almost a week ago now.
  4. Uninspiring but would not be surprised as he has England youth honors.
  5. Judging by some of the names on here - i heard Ruud Gullit is not getting much game time at Chelsea at the mo. he can play just about anywhere from the back to upfront. Perfect for TM.
  6. Maybe they got confused with which was which as well lol
  7. Whenever I think of Flowers, a certain goalie kit springs out in my mind.
  8. Perhaps spurred on after his first team appearance. You often hear how he and Chapman have not looked great shakes in the u23s this year but they were both seemingly bought for the first team - so it could be quite easy to become disillusioned to find yourself in the reserves. Stagnation and a loss of hunger can quite easily happen I imagine. Admittedly, Davenport was very unlucky injury wise (as was Chapman in L1) but I do hope some first team appearances can bring them on again now. Davenport was very highly rated at City and did well by all accounts in half a season in this league at Burton. Chapman, we all know the impact he had in L1 and on the fans - so it must be a bit of a downer to come in and wait so long.
  9. There wont be any of those around until nearer (or at) the kickoff - no guarantees there will even be any anyway.
  10. Missing perhaps Rothwell there. Not been as good as he was at the end of last season but I still think he has the potential to be a long term solution for one of those positions. We are then hoping that JRC, Buckley, Chapman, Davenport, and perhaps a couple of others will start to feature more from the u23s.
  11. Blackburn have won five of their seven Championship matches at Ewood Park with Tosin Adarabioyo in the starting line-up this season (71%), compared to just one of seven such matches when he has not started (14%).
  12. Agreed, he would be an ideal replacement for Dack. Unfortunately, his value would have skyrocketed this season and last.
  13. That Eze E is one to watch out for though. 16 goal contributions this season (10 goals, 6 assists).
  14. Blackburn have won five of their seven Championship matches at Ewood Park with Tosin Adarabioyo in the starting line-up this season (71%), compared to just one of seven such matches when he has not started (14%). Lets hope he stays fit.
  15. Yes it has - he is up for grabs at 4 million I heard.
  16. You seriously think that each of those players you listed are the best in the league in their positions?
  17. Never heard of Kobe Bryant? The guy is on Michael Jordan levels in basketball. It would be like Messi dying in a helicopter crash - the bloke is a legend.
  18. Sure, we would all be much happier if our team was good enough to steamroll the league and finish top two and therefore being better prepared for the prem but just getting there could half the Venky's debt in one go and possibly tempt them to walk out the door losing far less money than they are right now. Hate to say it but Burnley did it the right way. They didnt spend (and still dont) silly money but strengthened sensibly so that when they got relegated, they were able to bounce straight back up. Their fans probably want them to start investing a bit more now however, and that is understandable as they have established themselves in the top flight over the past couple of seasons and probably feel that they should push on a bit now to the next level.
  19. For fans, it wouldnt be enjoyable getting hammered each week but for the sake of the football club we need to get promoted even if that would be the outcome. The hundred+ millions that come with promotion, increased gates, increased exposure, and the parachute payments when we go back down should not be sniffed at. I agree it is not wise to do a Villa (or Fulham the previous year) of getting up and then going and spending crazy money in an attempt to stay there. I would rather go up and invest wisely so that should we go back down, the squad is in a strong position to get straight back up again.
  20. Would need to halve his wages. Nobody will be paying him anywhere near what he is on right now.
  21. The DG and Dack combination worked really well but now that Dack is out, the importance of DG is not what it was. Still a great player but certainly on the wane. Besides, we really need to be planning for life without him now.
  22. Exactly, TM throws him under the bus in public while Brentford who are notorious for picking up 'cheap bargains' and turning them into massive profit makers splash out 3 mil on him. I know which one i would be putting my money on being right.
