Yup. The emergence of Rothwell and Travis has meant than midfield has developed some value to the club. Same with Dack in an attacking sense. Any moves for attackers and midfielders can then be offset with expected value with what we already have there. Defence, Lenihan apart, there is not much value there. Nymbe perhaps but he has not yet pushed on as I would have hoped. Bell, again, potential but hardly going to attract bids. They wont spend here - as there is not enough to offset it.

Well TM still sees BB as a wide forward. One thing, there is going to be lots of competition for places in every position apart from defence where we would be lucky to even field one right now.

Even if he had a smaller budget - it should have all been used on defence. We could have coped in all other positions more than we will be able to cope at the back. Build from the back is widely known to be the way - TM seems to build from the middle. If the minimum of a GK and a CB (starter quality) is not brought in during this window - I will not be happy at all. Really we need two CBs and even Sharpe in the paper previously wrote that we were going to bring in Bauer and a younger option.

Its crazy really when you think about transfer fees. Neymar went for 200 million. Bale what 5 years ago was 100 mil - so thats doubled in that time. If they can see potential and value in that signing, then we should be doing what we can to get him in before them. He obviously likes it here and has loads of mates from his time here before. That said, if it will be using up money we could be using on a GK and CB, id be walking away.

Wigan or us, Gallagher will choose us every time. However, the more we dilly dally, Brentford is going to look very tasty despite how many mates he has up here. That said, is another striker more of a priority over a GK and CB? Not in my view it isnt.
