  1. Think people are being very harsh on our summer window here. Remember JDT and Greg were starting behind due to when they came in - for sure not ever signing has gone to plan but there’s lots to be positive about. Hirst:0/10 terrible signing and the major failing of the summer. Loan which has been cut short so not to much downside Mola: 3/10 was always coming in as a squad player, hasn’t made much of an impact aside from a couple of strong performances. But was a cheap loan so hasn’t been to much downside Morton: 7/10 our fans seem pretty split on him, however he’s clearly a good player who puts in the graft aswell as having quality on the ball. Has made some costly mistakes (eg Wigan away) but that’s normal for a young player. My only issue with him is that he has slightly blocked Garrett and Wharton. Brittain: 7/10 one of our best players when he’s fit. Great at both RB and Wing back and has the potential to be the best fullback in the league when he is injury free. No doubt in my mind that this will be great longterm signing for us - injury’s have been the only drawback so far. Smozdicks: 5/10 no doubt we over paid by about 1m. However he’s scored and assisted in some crucial moments, popular in the dressing room, fits JDT style and is a good squad player. You can trust him to do the job. Lacks the quality that the price tag may suggest he should have Hyam: 10/10 best CB I have seen at Rovers in a long time (perhaps on par with JPVH), always fit and never makes mistakes. Bargain Id probs give the window and overall 6/10 which considering the cards JDT and GB were dealt is a good effort. There won’t be any excuses this month and next summer though and we will need 8/10 windows if we are to be promoted anytime soon. Targets have got to be a ST and CM this window. While a winger should also be on the radar with Diaz off in the summer. +if there is an opportunity for Van Hecke we need to make that happen. Him and Hyam would walk this league.
  2. Have we even been linked to a player yet?
  3. Completely disagree. Ask any of the 2000/3000 fans who went down to West Ham on a cold Wednesday night. A night that will live long in the memory.
  4. Have we actually been linked with anyone? A fullback, CM and striker to replace Hirst would be my targets
  5. Was on the upper tier and saw a man probs in late 60s/70s have to be taken away with blood pouring down his face. Didn’t look good.
  6. Just seen you can no longer get tickets on the website, I assume you can still buy tickets over the phone and pick up at the ground?
  7. Just seen you can no longer get tickets on the website, I assume you can still buy tickets over the phone and pick up at the ground? wrong thread my bad
  8. Really need to break the streak tonight, honestly I couldn’t bare to lose to TM esp at home… In general I feel it’s been a great start to the season. Sure we’ve been very inconsistent, sure a number of the away performances have been shocking (I’ve been to 3). However, the home form as been excellent, young players are breaking through, the players are clearly onboard with it (Dack aside) and there have been periods where it’s clear to see the identity of how we want to play, and how it can be effective. We’ve lacked that for years. Tomasson needs to learn, no doubt about it, but in general I feel he has been a breath of fresh air since he came in. I would go with: kaminski carter Hyam Wharton Brittain Morton Garrett Wharton Pickering Gally Diaz 3-5-2/5-3-2 Garrett imo is the like for like replacement for Travis.
  9. What do we know about mola? Anyone got a tactical analysis of him?
  10. Difficult game this, though no reason why we can’t win it. Doubt we will see Ayala, Brittain or Gally, however I believe Wharton is back for this. If he is, I would match their system. Kaminski Carter Hyam Wharton Buckley Travis Wharton Pickering Hedges Dack Diaz Quite harsh on Morton however while Travis is capable at RB I feel he would be out of depth at wing back. Buckley on the other hand is very capable of that role. Part of me would love to see Hirst from the start with Hedges Dack and Diaz playing off him, I just feel we will need to match there system though to get 3 points.
  11. Apologies, no info. I just can’t see it, would be too good of a signing. Also, didn’t Sharpe say there was nothing in it
  12. We need a right winger with genuine pace and a left back. If we get both of those then it’s been an unbelievable window considering where we were at when JDT first joined
  13. My housemates are Fulham fans and season ticket holders. From what it sounds like Fulham have quite a limited budget this summer and have had to be very strict on there transfer fees. Struggle to see paying you 15m with add ons
  14. On styles. Interestingly a CM that Barnsley were set to loan from Burnley has been shifted to a perm deal. Could this be an indication of some money coming in from a potential Styles deal?
  15. Appreciate the rumour and more importantly - change in topic 😂
  16. Big game this. We need a win to kick us back into life, and following the 2nd half performance against Stoke, I think we will get it. Id go with: kaminski Carter Ayala Hyam Buckley Travis Wharton Edun Hedges Dack Diaz
  17. We will only be paying 5m if he shows he is worth it in the championship. If he’s not, we don’t pay it. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.
  18. A winger with pace, a striker and a left back. That’s where my expectations are at.
  19. Hirst isn’t who I was hoping for but I am glad to see us sign a striker. On the positive side it’s a loan with an option to buy so no risk for us. Portsmouth fans seem to rate him very highly and he sounds like a great partner for Dack to play off.
  20. Personally not bothered about SVDB. Would be nice to have him as he is a quality player but I also believe Carter is ready for the championship and would like to see him get his chance. My hopes for the rest of window would be: Out: Diaz (15m), Butterworth (loan/perm) In: Birkimevic (5m), Styles (2m), bowler (3m)
  21. oh fairs - Sharpe originally said it was 4. Yes that is a little odd
  22. 2 attacking signings if Diaz goes. Really hope we make plays for Bowler and Birkimevic
  23. 4 year deal no? mentioned in Sharpes article about Hyam signing
