  1. I don't think they are. It's about getting the best out of what you have - experts in the field. Managing people is more than stats and formations It's a subtle blend that they both (Warnock/Allardyce) are exceptionally good at. We'd be lucky to have either.
  2. I've had a one or two beverages and have come to conclusion that Ismael is on the right tracks. Whilst results are going against us we've been very unlucky, we're dominating games and have a clear style and pattern to our play. Whilst some of our signings haven't yet 'clicked', they've shown enough to make me believe that we'll not only be safe, but next season mount a serious challenge.
  3. Be brilliant wouldn't it.. That's probably exactly what they need!
  4. Whilst I do agree the problem ultimately lies higher up.. We have had the privilege of some pretty good managers: Mowbray, JDT, Eustace.. I'm sorry, but we'd absolutely not be in the state we're in now with any of those if they were being backed in the same manner... Ismael needs ejecting pronto- he is awful. HIs record is absolutely abysmal, roll the dice- bomb him out. Warnock, Allardyce, Bruce, Rowett.. I'd even take Mowbray back.
  5. Warnock is head and shoulders above Rowett. He's got a brilliant CV. Him and Allardyce are criminally underrated.
  6. Warnock came to mind. Brilliant manager. A real pragmatist that knows football and how to get the best out of people. I'd have him in a heart beat.
  7. You might think im being hysterical but: Dack, Gallagher, Buckley, JRC walk into this side- even now.
  8. Poor Pratt must be wondering what he's done wrong- at 6ft 4 or whatever he is he blocks the ball back in for the first goal.
  9. The lack of quality is so obvious. Cantwell's an enigma- absolute shit in my opinion. Supposed to be this wonderful creative force. Don't see anything in him at all. We've nothing through the middle, nothing our wide and noting up top. Shocking side. Positives are Toth's very good, Atcheson looks a great prospect. Baradji appears to have something and we know Trondstadt is a good player. Beyond those four though we're absolutely dire. Seven players short of staying up.
  10. Straight red that.. Wonder if there'll be any retrospective punishment?
  11. Haha, next we'll be bring in Sharbel Touma and Kennedy Bakircioglu. Ruined my life that game!
  12. So who we getting then? A striker and winger? Still woefully short. Think we need a QUALITY ball carrying CM- another winger/wing back and an extra striker. Basically quality through the middle, wide and up top. One or two injuries and we're back to square one..
  13. Love a juicy rumour, that's what it's all about. Keep them coming guys!
  14. I do like the old 'You wouldn't be moaning if we were winning'.. Correct. I have nothing against the ownership other than the apparent malaise and lack of ambition. If tomorrow Venky's decided they were pumping money in, aiming to re-establish us a PL side. Did the stadium and Brockhall up. Appointed some top notch staff and players I'm sure everyone would be delighted. All I want is to enjoy watching the Rovers again. I'd love nothing more than the above to happen- but water under the bridge tells me it's very unlikely. They came in with big ambitions, champions league didn't they? Not we'll be lucky to stay in the Championship. Call me a sinical but I don't see any of that happening- for that reason, I just want them gone and a fresh start.
  15. Apparently Derby have an interest in Szmodics (according to my son) We need two wingers/wing backs. Josh Bowler and Clearly would be decent. Two centre midfielders. Rothwell and Szmodics on loan would be brilliant. Then at least one quality striker if not two- Ohashi is nowhere near it for me. That's ignoring centre half- hopefully the young lads can keep it up. So for me 5 or 6 players of quality- think we're going down, dogshit side.
  16. Absolutely shite, no patterns of play, no character, no identity. Why on earth did we get rid of practically the entire side that finished 7th? Shockingly poor side. Am I right in my understanding that our wingbacks (providing attacking outlets down the flanks) are Miller and Pickering.. No disrespect, but neither is blessed with pace or an attacking prowess. That's not to say they're not useful defenders, but wing-backs? GK: Pears Defenders: Picking, Miller, Atcheson, McCoughlin, Pratt CDMS: Trodstadt, Hickman That's 8 defensively minded players. Leaves us with Baradji and Cantwell to do something for Ohashi- who just presses defenders, has a shit first touch and appalling finishing instincts. Need some pace, trickery, guile and someone that has good movement off the ball, decision making and can hold it up a bit.. Wonder what they were thinking when they assembled this side..
  17. I'm happy enough with how Pratts fit in, very impressed. If we can get an UPGRADE on Mcloughlin I think that would be a good move though. Off on a slight tangent (sorry). More pressing is our complete lack of quality in centre midfield and upfront. I've said it since we had Gallagher doing it- I hate forwards pressing for pressings sake.. I want my strikers spending their energy finding pockets of space, moving intelligently off the ball and linking play. Our strikers operate as defenders more or less. Saying that Ohashi, for all his endeavour looks every ounce the fee we paid- which isn't a disrespect to him. However, his decision making is awful, always takes an extra touch and finishing is generally about a 9/20.
  18. Was a red hot prospect.. surely better than De Neve?
  19. Chuck the lad in.. definitely something there. I know he's had a few poor loans but I see a bit of Travis in him. What's happened with Batty?
  20. Is Garett fit yet? Miles better than the dross currently in there.. well played, great window.
  21. Yet both represent significant upgrades...
