There was a ton of pubs along Bolton Road leading into the town centre too. I'm sure I read somewhere they called it 'The Length'- Lots of pubs and house were knocked down around there and there was several massive mills so I could imagine that area being a hot-bed for pubs. Even now on the left you can see at least two pubs. Such beautiful buildings, so many memories- if only the walls could talk eh?! If the owners of the Moorings don't already open on matchdays for a cheap beer a curry, they're missing a bloody trick.

A run of games and his playing history suggests there's something there with a punt.. Cantwell hasn't played in months..

Would love to see Rothwell back on loan or a similar type of player as well as a replacement for Tavares, Foreshaw- let them both go. What about Dennis on a free until the end of the season to cover for Kargbos absence? Centre half- a big lad from the lower leagues- Dan Burn was playing down there wasn't he at some point? Let one of Pickering/Ribiero go along with Tavares, Foreshaw and perhaps even Cantwell .. Pointless paying the wages if he isn't playing.. Let Norwich spend silly money in Jan..

Young lad called, Andy Tod is looking a prospect up at Dunfermline.. Would love to see us make a move for him in Jan. Tidy little goalscoring midfielder, scored 8, assisted two in 13 games at the age of 19.

Centre midfield is a must- relative to a team pushing for play-offs: Good: Trondstadt, Cantwell Bog Standard: Hickman Shit: Tavares, Foreshaw, Henrikkson (Granted it's early days), Montgommery I'd push Tavares out the door along with Foreshaw and look to bring in two GOOD centre mids. Rothwell on loan would paper over a few cracks and add a bit of dynamism and attacking impetus. Then a ball playing centre mid- see who's lurking in league one/two, snatch up a gem. I honestly think our centre mid is absolutely abject. I've thrown Cantwell in there but I see him as more of a 10 and Hickman would be nowhere near if we still had Travis.. Needs fixing pronto!

I wonder if we could loan Rothwell back in Jan, get rid of Tavares and bring in a young hungry centre mid from league one or two. Also, still feel we're lacking up top.. Thought we were excellent first half. Resilient 2nd. Whist Toth is most def my preferred no1 and I'm not a massive Pears fan. I was calling out for him to come on for Toth. Thought De Neve and Henriksson did well, quite surpised their ratings are so low.. Makhtar did well to say he was only on the pitch for 5 minutes- unlucky not to score. Gudjohnsen has a solid game, Ohashi was excellent- could see his confidence growing. Special shout out to Scotty Wharton, Toth and Miller- tremendous performances.

Ohashi absolutely doesn't deserve to start. He's missed so many chances this season, he's fluffed so many golden opportunities, just not up to it. Give Gueye a go with Gudjohnsen and use Ohashi as an impact sub. No good giving Gueye 4 minutes off the bench then ripping him a new one. A run of games is what he needs, massively positive character and has a bit of a relationship with the fans

Trondstadt looks a shadow of the player he was last season.. I love him, but for me, at present, the only thing keeping him in the starting line up is any sort of competition in centre mid. I'd drop him in a heart beat if we still had Travis. Miss the days of Flitcroft 😞

I'm watching it on Southampton TV- commentators aren't so bad, fairly balanced and entertaining.. 'The only fans you can hear currently are Southampton fans..' Pointing out how empty the stadium is, the Riverside half empty.. 'Faded seats'.. Good observations!

Go the same way as Sheff United. Ismael appears to be clueless, I can't even see what he's trying to achieve at present. Squad's awful, no cutting edge and unable to keep it out at the other end. Who starts up top for us? Just stick Gueye up top- at the very least he's massive. Has shown himself to be useful at times last season- offers more than Ohashi.. I'd like to see Gudjohnsen play off him, cross some balls into box. Don't expect anything to make any significant difference anyway- we're shit, absolutely devoid of quality.

Totally apathetic. I remember a rovers defeat ruining my weekend- not even bothered anymore. Resigned to getting relegated. A cheaply assembled team of players scattered around poor leagues in Europe with zero chemistry. I'll come back once Venkys and anyone associated with them has left the club. In the meantime I'd rather watch paint dry.

For me Wharton, Rice and Anderson would be a great midfield three.. Rapid wingers, Kane up top with Palmer/Bellingham behind.. I'd play 3-5-2 to accommodate.

De Neuve totally changed the game. Not been his biggest fan but on that showing deserves to start the next game.

How many fans do you think we've got on today? I think it's been forgotten that ambition and entertaining football which excites gets bums on seats. To me, as a supporter I feel disconnected from the club. There appears to be absolutely no ambition to get promoted. I don't know how they can sit there in a sparce Ewood Park, look around and not feel utterly embarrassed. Shell of a club. Desperately need rid of Venkys.

Dire, Morishita offers nothing, absolute passenger. Hedges decision making is horrendous. Gudjohsen, isolated. Utter shite! Squad's devoid of quality. Glad I didn't go.

It's a bit grotty but nothing like last week, the river might be high but I don't think there's any danger of it being off at the moment. Last week it was exceptionally wet for a very long time!

It's windy and intermittent heavy rain... Not as wet as last weekend though imo. That was ridiculous. I'll have a walk to the river shortly and look. I think it'll be on atm
