Thought De Neve and Henriksson did well, quite surpised their ratings are so low.. Makhtar did well to say he was only on the pitch for 5 minutes- unlucky not to score. Gudjohnsen has a solid game, Ohashi was excellent- could see his confidence growing. Special shout out to Scotty Wharton, Toth and Miller- tremendous performances.

Ohashi absolutely doesn't deserve to start. He's missed so many chances this season, he's fluffed so many golden opportunities, just not up to it. Give Gueye a go with Gudjohnsen and use Ohashi as an impact sub. No good giving Gueye 4 minutes off the bench then ripping him a new one. A run of games is what he needs, massively positive character and has a bit of a relationship with the fans

Trondstadt looks a shadow of the player he was last season.. I love him, but for me, at present, the only thing keeping him in the starting line up is any sort of competition in centre mid. I'd drop him in a heart beat if we still had Travis. Miss the days of Flitcroft 😞

I'm watching it on Southampton TV- commentators aren't so bad, fairly balanced and entertaining.. 'The only fans you can hear currently are Southampton fans..' Pointing out how empty the stadium is, the Riverside half empty.. 'Faded seats'.. Good observations!

Go the same way as Sheff United. Ismael appears to be clueless, I can't even see what he's trying to achieve at present. Squad's awful, no cutting edge and unable to keep it out at the other end. Who starts up top for us? Just stick Gueye up top- at the very least he's massive. Has shown himself to be useful at times last season- offers more than Ohashi.. I'd like to see Gudjohnsen play off him, cross some balls into box. Don't expect anything to make any significant difference anyway- we're shit, absolutely devoid of quality.

Totally apathetic. I remember a rovers defeat ruining my weekend- not even bothered anymore. Resigned to getting relegated. A cheaply assembled team of players scattered around poor leagues in Europe with zero chemistry. I'll come back once Venkys and anyone associated with them has left the club. In the meantime I'd rather watch paint dry.

For me Wharton, Rice and Anderson would be a great midfield three.. Rapid wingers, Kane up top with Palmer/Bellingham behind.. I'd play 3-5-2 to accommodate.

How many fans do you think we've got on today? I think it's been forgotten that ambition and entertaining football which excites gets bums on seats. To me, as a supporter I feel disconnected from the club. There appears to be absolutely no ambition to get promoted. I don't know how they can sit there in a sparce Ewood Park, look around and not feel utterly embarrassed. Shell of a club. Desperately need rid of Venkys.

Seems to be a hot topic at present.. Personally I like to see a bit of tactically fluidity, love to see a direct approach. Why not boot it high up and drop it up and over a centre half or make them head it. Defenders hate it. We saw Ohashi get a lad sent off from exactly that. You don't have to 'play through the lines' when you can ping it long. Wimbledon used to play diagonals just to win throw-ins and corners before loading the box. I hate the rigidity and arrogance of modern managers. They think they've re-invented the game.. I listened to the Pep and Warnock interview, Warnock talking of the importance of man management- understanding how to get the best out of players whilst Pep, if I'm remembering correctly (Long time ago so apologies if I'm wrong) was talking about how the game's moved on and it's all about tactics now.. A bit of a digression, but whilst I don't disagree tactics are important, very, very important, they're pretty pointless if you don't have the lads on side. I think this is massively under appreciated, it's almost deemed a bit of an 'old school' approach. However, I see it as the smart approach- evidence based even. I know in Psychology the therapeutic relationship between client and practioner is the most important variable as to the success of therapy. What I think I'm getting it, other than missing how football used to be. Is it's rather generic and complexified- we're not talking quantum physics. I'm all for a resurgence if proper wing play, two strikers up front. Long balls into the big man to hold up or flick on. Sick to death of watching wingers and strikers do nothing but press and pass backwards.

Play the 10 mins if Ipswich aren't happy ... It's in no way 'fair' to go again 11 Vs 11 giving Ipswich another bite at it... Highly unlikely given Ipswich poor start and reduction to 10 they were winning that..

Wish, Vale the best of luck. However, I always thought he looked pretty lazy. Not to disparage the likes of Dickov, Savage, Dolan et.al, but if you remove their work rate I'd argue there's no way they carve out the careers that they did/are doing.. I can't for the life of me understand young lads that aren't prepared to run through walls on the pitch.. Unless you're a VERY good player: Benni, Roque, Tugay- who all still put the yards and tackles in, I'm sorry, you're not going far in the game. Reminds me a bit of Leonard, def something there, hope it clicks but think we've made the right decision in both cases moving them on.
