  1. Would rather play Buckley or Garrett...
  2. I console myself with the prospect of all this being a simulation! Just imagine. You wake up fuming and all your mates are rolling over.. Scar you for life that- in the non-simulated reality (assuming that's not simulated also).
  3. Probably not tied the CM up yet because we've not yet flogged Brittain.. You neve know (you do) but this lad coming in might be even better.. Perhaps we're signing players that 'fit' the profile of how we want to play moving forwards.. Sometimes the collective equates to more than the sum of it's parts- something like that.. End of the day the club's fairly handicapped with relation to spending. Did Venkys ever intend on splashing big cash? Was it not 5m a year and leases or something like that? Genuinely can't remember! I don't really think we've ever spent- consider when we bought Rhodes and Best we'd flogged Samba, Kalanic and Jones as well as pushed loads of high earners (Emerton, Salgado, Nelsen etc) out the club.. VENKYS OUT! DO ONE! Those early days, sacking Big Sam etc- I just want them gone..
  4. I think there will be quite a long list of clubs interested in Dolan. Especially on the cheap, it's an absolute no brainer..
  5. I think we've been crying out for pace for bloody years!! If you have players that can shift then you can sit deep and counter attack.. If that's how we're going to play then I'm excited.. Would love to see us deploy a front two, think this could be a big year for Gueye. I'd like to see him actually play a slightly deeper role, think he has great feet and can win a flick on, play a quick lad who can press on the last man.. Some pace at wide and this big lad (if we get him) in the middle- at least it's going to be interesting.. I think we're desperate for a centre half- someone to replace Batth, we really felt his absence last year!
  6. George Hirst was, and still is wank!! Just because he was in a team that got promoted and got a few games in the EPL doesn't mean he's any good... I'd be be gutted if we signed Hirst.
  7. Don't see what difference it makes whom we have in this position... Ultimately the club's still being run by the same people..
  8. Do you know what I was thinking about the other night.. The amount of players we've had with names that either match or rhyme.. Duff, Dunn Henley, Hanley Olsson, Olsson Tavares, Travis There's more, I remember there being a few in the academy- minds gone blank though,
  9. Tbh, despite all the hype, Batty has hardly been a sensation at Accrington. Bit disappointed he hasn't signed a new contract, but if he's going to be like that let him go.. Anyone remember Adam Henley?
  10. I wouldn't want to bring JRC or Buckley on tbh. I agree with the 'poor athletes' comments.. JRC runs like he's trudging through treacle and Buckley shuffles around the pitch like an old man. What I was getting at it is I'd prefer either of those over Foreshaw. I thought he was really poor other than the odd game last season and certainly did nothing (in my eyes) to warrant an extra year- especially in light of his years.. I'd be all for getting rid of JRC, Buckley, Foreshaw, Hedges, Pears, Hyam. Have a good clear out and reinvest, however my concern is we're the latter part. Also, if we're not careful the squads going to lack any chemistry.
  11. On a tangent, surely any of: Buckley, JRC or Garrett would be a better option than Foreshaw? Talk of bombing one of those out for a 33 year old is ludicrous.. For what it's worth I used to hate Buckley, however last season in the couple of cameos he had I thought he looked okay, carried it, can ping a pass and likes a tackle.. Much rather keep Buckley than Foreshaw.
  12. How long was Kargbos' contract?
  13. Would nobody else rather us Garrett have a go than Foreshaw?
  14. Rather play Garrett OR, use the wages to tie down one of Travis or Trondstadt...
  15. I didn't mind Broughton. At a well run club I think he'd do the business.
  16. Made up with this, good lad, gooood lad! Brilliant stuff, still love you Sammy lad, great lad, brilliant stuff! Certainly won't receive a warm reception from me.
  17. He was going though wasn't he? It's principle, he can train with the squad until he leaves..
  18. I'd have said 'no worries, you go home lad and we won't pay you then!' .. Little rat!
  19. Spot on , Neal! This 'Bulking up' business as well is all well and good, but with that players lose their speed and agility, which in itself is an enormous threat.. Also, having a lot of muscle mass doesn't always translate to being strong and explosive when moving on the pitch. I've witness many big lads be sent flying by much smaller, frailer looking footballers.. Perhaps he could carry a bit more meat on him, but I don't think it's all that necessary to be honest.. I'd much rather us work to players strengths than file them down into something distinctly average and not particularly good at anything..
  20. Good to see out Balaz getting a start tonight.. Decent side too are Hungary!
  21. Awful, awful, awful.. Talking about Senegal being a challenge.. FML, Andorra were a challenge.. Can't break teams down. Embarrassing!
  22. Wonder if Pears could end up back at Boro if Toth is going to be our new no1 and we're looking to generate £££
  23. So how do you make the inference he's annoying without watching him? I never said you're not entitled to an opinion. I simply exercised my own.
