surley neill would be financialy better off staying until his contract expires at the end of the season and leaves on a bosman? the bottom line is would it be better to get what we can in the january window and let him go to the highest bidder? or keep his services until the end of the season and let him leave on a free? i think this decision will be made easier if we can find a replacement or not in january to fill in for the loss. -

i dont think it's the commitment, it's the fact he has rejected improved contracts and obviously wants to play somewhere else. everytime he goes out to play in a rovers shirt he does give his all as a pro skill wise but his heart i dont think is in for the cause anymore. -

just been reading the last few pages and sounds as though theres been an eventful night in france. the punishment for feyenoord could be anything from a fine to a ban, it's anyones guess! im looking on youtube to see if i can find any of the action.

everybody seems to be having a right pop at zurab the last few weeks? imo he is a legend, last season he was awsome along side nelsen and took todd's place in the side with his well good performances. yeah he has had his faults with a few mistakes this season and he did look nervous against feyenoord but once settled he played well along side ooijer i thought. for the price we paid, he is a bargin and a top player. it will take time for the perfect partnership at the back with ooijer but the rotating of full backs i dont think is helping the progress. Team i think hughes will play against fulham: friedel emerton ooijer zurab neill bentley axe savage gamst nonda benni subs: brown, jeffers, peter, henchoz, gray. i would like to see peter and jeffers starting in place of the axe and nonda but i just cant see hughes doing that. it would also be tidy to see gallagher and derbyshire make the 16 but here's hoping!! hughes to get one over his welsh counterpart big stylie!! rovers 6-0 fulham zurab gamst emerton benni savage ooijer

chelsea have about 4 right backs but they may see neill as a utility centre back and can also play anywhere along the back 4 like gallas used to, plus they also sold huth so they aint exactly strong in depth at centre backs. if milan, barca, liverpool and chelsea want a bidding war then we should reap the benefits. -

i think the axe shall i say has been blunt imo. with the size of the guy he doesn't seem to have any physical presence on the pitch, he's useless in the air and well his passing is awful. has he ever had a shot in a rovers shirt? he doesn't pull the trigger very often then. he can do a job in front of the back 4 with a 5 man midfield when we used to play 4-5-1 but in the centre of a 4 man midfield he offers very little imo. -
prague happy days if it does happen.

relegation are we having a laugh! if we are bottom at xmas then maybe we are in trouble but a couple of wins and we are back in the top half. it's not as if we are getting pastings every week in the prem, if or shall i say when we beat fulham this weekend, all this nonsence will be forgotten and champions league threads will start apearing -

tidy photos anyway SAS -
the basle keeper is having a mare in this seasons uefa cup. good pen save by i think it's petric, hero n all and the points shared is well good for us.

fulham have been quite solid away from home since their thrashing on the opening day, it won't be easy against a coleman side. i worried about the absence of tugay, theres a few options to replace the loss by moving players about, new faces etc but he will be a big loss to us. i fancy back to winning ways! ooijer to be a rock at the back again!!
