  1. eyes are tinted with red roses gallagher has done well comming of the bench in some games and bad in others like charlton fro example, he was plain awful. the same could be said for the whole team, there is no consistency apart from when we went on the 7 game unbeaten run. in some peoples views as soon as a player has a bad game or 2, they want them replaced. we do not have the squad depth in skill wise to do this like i.e chelsea. we have to put up with players going through a bad patch of form, unfortunatley there seems to be alot of our players in this bad patch. rememeber bentley at the start of the season?? lately he has not done alot apart from fulham home.
  2. newcastle have only lost once in their last 6 visits to ewood park!!
  3. emerton is out for around 2 weeks with hamstring trouble again!! btw well good preview ihtd
  4. some of the results lastnight were shocking, it looked as though there was some match fixing going on in some of those champions league games and a few weakened sides playing due to qualification already in the bag. bring on the weekend where it's all domestic grind, sweat and blood!!
  5. michel platini should be somewhere on that list imo? to be honest the 100 greatest players of all time is all about different opinions. how can you say someone is or was the greatest player in the world? different generations, positions, facilities, training it is impossible to choose 1 player? even if you chose the greatest player in every position, how can you justify the best player in the team? i.e a striker can't save shots?
  6. the league has to be the priority, anyway this season if we can put a run together we are not far from the champs league spots!! could be a marathon rather than a sprint though. i would take winning the uefa and fa cups and finish 17th avoiding relegation any day!! going back to the championship would be a nightmare, imagine the dingles getting promotion too!! If we went down it, we have seen what has happened to forest, leeds, wimbledon, ipswich, norwich.....the list goes on!!
  7. from the tidy info from jordan, we wants to avoid Shakhtar Donetsk if we finish 2nd.
  8. Joe Calzaghe won the welsh version and i think he has been nominated in the top 10 short list for this award? cant see anyone winning apart from darren clarke though.
  9. madrid lyon manky milan west am all to win tonight. blackburn and millwall let me down last night with a loss on a draw!!
  10. no i thought i would make it up for a laugh, what is this? the quiz result trial at crown court? with my previous efforts in previous quizzes, i'm ###### delighted i quote "Wednesday's quiz You scored 10 out of a possible 10 Top marks! You have achieved everything there is to achieve in this game, and have nothing left to prove." happy days
  11. a very honest point RevidgeBlue. i think losing bellamy/nelsen/reidy to either injuries or being sold is more of a concern to a club like ours rather then a big squad with strength and depth. when hughes has spent big i.e. bellamy, benni, savage, they have all provided the goods. unlucky with the injury to roberts but you can't blame that on hughes. something has to be done, imo it has to be done fast as it's sink or swim time.
  12. there needs to be some serious changes in all departments at rovers. lastnight i hope there was some smashed cups and harsh words in the away dressing room at full time, this is not acceptable and if we continue like that it's end of!! we cant just wait for nelsen/reidy to return or say it will sort it's self out when we buy in january, we need points now or it could be to late!! by the sounds of it, a few rovers players could do do with a slap in the chops and a rocket up their ass!! the geordies are playing reading tonight and only have about 10 fit 1st team players availible against a reading side on a roll whom only need 1 point from the game to go 3rd!!! the game on sat versus newcastle i would go as far to say it's crunch time and the biggest game of the season so far!!
  13. i agree, i think it's a logicical trick question and the answer is mickey gray. simple as that
  14. I think the continued rapid influx of asians and asylum seekers/illigal immagrants communities in the local area has slowed down or stopped the growth of the rovers fan base and has caused some regular rovers fans to move away and made it harder for them to get to ewood park.
  15. How does it feel being one of the four teams to have won the Prem? awsome What do you think of Mark Hughes? our fearless leader UEFA Cup – Heaven or Hell? heaven, small town in europe again, luv it being on tour!! Why has your season started so indifferently? injuries and fixture pile up Who has performed above expectations for your team? And who not? emerton has been class this season, gray on occassions has been pathetic and will be replaced by a new face in january we hope Why do you not sell out the ground? pubs with tv stations and armchair veiwers. What do you think of Reading? looks a half decent run club, coppell has done well and doyle was a steal at the price you paid for him. Score Prediction? reading 0-6 rovers. the gulf will show Any finally - tell me some Interesting fact about your club? we are the only club to win the f.a cup 3 seasons in a row!!
  16. talking of matty jansen, is he still on a free or has he been signed up by another club? last i heard he was training with different teams.
  17. gone back down to 4 out of 10 today on the quiz, the cpu says i have an injury haha!!
  18. tonights coupon charlton athletic v blackburn rovers (away win) blackpool v cheltenham (home win) millwall v huddesfield town (home win) oldham athletic v crewe a (home win) lincoln city v bristol rovers (home win) m.k. dons v stockport county (home win)
  19. with nelsen, zurab and henchoz all out, what do you think the odds are on a andy todd recall? tugay returning from susspension should see him return to the starting line up, pushing bentley to the right and droping emerton back into fullback. neill and ooijer should be the centre backs tonight but you never know.
  20. this whole thread is a complete waste of space and a well bad joke. the only place hughes may go is old trafford when ferguson departs in about 20 years. you have taken bellamy, neill looks as though he's almost there, if hughes goes there you can take the roverstore too.
  21. I went to this fixture last season and what an atmosphere!! last away game of the season and all i rememeber was inflatables flying around everywhere and loads of fans dressed up in scream outfits etc. took some awsome videos on my mobile, i really should put them on youtube. it was confortable last season, tugay and reid run the show from start to finish though theres no reid this time round and our other scorer that day is gone to the scousers!! this season we go in to the game 3 unbeaten in all competitions, benni has got a new hair cut and is hitting the net again. charlton are poor, useless to be honest and if we get the first goal early like on saturday there could be a riot. 4-0 rovers gamst benni nonda bert mk2
  22. 6/10 for todays quiz, thats right presty, what an improvment you give yourself a pat on the back mate. well done!!
  23. home kit = 1. tidy!! away kit = 1. well hard choice, the black and blue is stunning and will probably get my vote. the orange design looks like a tiger, kind of a dutch theme and everyone likes orange apart from graham taylor!! the black and red halves is also well tidy, the 3 away designs are all good but at this time away 1 just gets it!!
  24. i posted a swedish link on the montella thread a few mins ago, didn't know what it ment though as im not a swedish translator!! all i could make out was larrson-manks
