  1. Nice gesture and a very peaceful good natured event, anything that helps bring the community together in a positive way is a good thing
  2. according to wiki he only took over there in January right before the invasion, he didn't even get to manage 1 game before leaving!
  3. Suprised there's not been a mention of Bielsa yet!? (unless I've missed something) Personally I could never get my head around having a manager that doesn't speak English and communication at our club is already laughably poor 😅
  4. With the work he's done behind the scenes at City the last 10 years i definitely think he'd deserve to be considered at least. There was talk of Newcastle considering him for a dof role just after the takeover, so he must be well regarded within the game
  5. Exactly 😂 and until a new manager has signed they wouldn't even know which members of the current staff he'd want to keep or not. Sadly it's more like rats leaving a sinking ship at the minute, not that any of them are irreplaceable, most just seem like jobsworths and dollopers anyway.
  6. I think equally as important to which manager comes in is which assistants and 1st team coaches join him, because our current bunch just seem like mediocre yes men. If we want to progress we need a higher calibre of coaching and management right through the first team.
  7. Why? Just because he's Black! he wouldn't be my first choice, but he is a manager that I think has good potential and just needs to find a club that suits him
  8. gets overlooked that Mowbray spent probably over a million on TWO poor looking left backs this season, yet so many are saying he wasn't given any money to spend! Personally think it has been more of a case that whoever controls the purse strings lost confidence in Mowbray spending well Also how much did it cost to get Ayala to sign for us and keep our subs bench and the doctor/physios table warm the last 2 years! plus all theses loan signings from prem clubs will have cost at least few mill in total the last couple of seasons(with nothing really to show in return!!)
  9. Hiring someone of Farkes calibre this week could maybe help sway a couple of our better soon to be out-of-contract players to stick around
  10. Might have been my imagination... But sounded like large choruses of "tony give us a wave" and "Tony Mowbrays blue & white Army" Sound gets a bit muddled in the wind where i am but sounded very much like that to me
  11. Not at the game, but working outside close by! Am I really hearing what I think I'm hearing from the home fans 🤢🤯 (hope I'm mistaken)
  12. I know his managerial stats dont look good in recent years, but.... I get the feeling that at the right club Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could still have the potential to become a very good manager (though Admittedly i do let my sentimentality of being a big fan of him as a player sway me a little😄) I also think if you read some of his interviews he does sound like the type of manager the venks seem to like, with his emphasis being on playing 'attractive attacking' football and bringing youngsters through
  13. Has Wilcox not shown any interest in getting into first team management? Or maybe even suited more to directororial role in place of Maggot🤷‍♂️ And no I'm not simply saying that JUST because of the rovers link! His work behind the scenes at Man city over the last 10 years shows how more than capable he can
  14. Neither would be an improvement in my opinion, both like mowbray, past their best(if warburton has even had a 'best' as a manager!) pretty lame and completely uninspiring, but that said I still want him gone.
  15. Talking bollox right to the end(hopefully🤞) lots of contradictions and the usual Mowbray arrogance in there. He's just lucky that he's at this club, anywhere else and hed have been sacked at least 5 times by now.
  16. Yes but sure there was something involving weller at one point as well, no charges brought or anything that i remember and seemed to get brushed off, but there was definitely something at one point im sure 🤔
  17. I right, yeah cant stand weller, The jam had some great songs obviously and wellers early solo stuff was good, but the last 15 years or so he's just gone dull as dishwater. Didn't he also get pulled for having nonce material on his pc.
  18. Hate to be a cynic (but that's what Mowbray brings out in us/me) but I think tonight was just a little buffer, I'm expecting us to get a proper walloping from Bournemouth now (obviously I'd love to be proved wrong though!!)
  19. I've always thought his voice and personality seemed pretty weak for a manager, but tbf he's had a respectable career in the lower leagues, 100% not the man to take us forward though it would just be a side step (at best) to employ a manager like Grayson, he's definitely a manager like Mowbray who's best days are well behind him.
  20. only 2 gigs there that I personally would pay to see, cant be doing with any of those naff 80s "pop stars" though, not even if they where all on the same bill, doubt they have a gigs worth of good tunes between the lot of them.
  21. well at least tell me who your going on about (before i tell you how shite they are😄) ASS!?
  22. The unhappy fans at the remaining games really need to make their feelings heard otherwise i think it's going to be inevitable that the prick is still here at the start of next season for another year of groundhog days.
  23. God! Remember the uproar when it came out that Billy Mckinlay was on the verge of becoming manager! And tbf Mckinlay looked like he had decent credentials at the time in many areas, but he just did have any real managerial experience. But anyway! Looking to the future... Apears as if Pocchetino is going to be available in the summer👍👍
  24. Which People? All i vaguely remember is a bunch of local chancers
