The fact another striker wasn't bought in the summer to replace Armstrong was poor enough! Especially when you think at that point they could never have envisaged the goal scoring run Brereton was about to go on!

The irony is that he's probably been their best managerial appointment! But he's just far over stayed his welcome and should have been potted 2 years ago.

Has to be worth getting shut of mowbray right now and giving the caretaker job to D Johnson for the remainder of the season, He literally couldn't do much worst than tm. I wouldn't trust the venkys to hire a good replacement manager in a short space of time, so best just getting a caretaker for now so we can take our time searching for a more promising replacement manger (although in reality! I'm under no illusions that the owners would just give the caretaker/cheapest option the job permanently should they win a few of the remaining games)

Hedges was a panic buy!? We seemed to have been chasing him forever and negotiations to bring him in appeared to have started right at the beginning of the transfer window (if not earlier) More like a shady looking poor buy

Errr not really disagreeing with you but just to point out that Jack walker always had big say(and the final say!) in transfer decisions whilst he was owner There's even some pretty infamous examples of potential signings that he vetoed for one reason or another

He's done for here regardless of how the season pans out now. And good riddance. (just my feelings)

I think like after the fulham battering it took the fans getting on their case for the team to up their game just as it did today when they came out after half time. Clearly nothing bloody wetwipe mowbray and his cronies say in the dressing room really motivates them

Yeah lowe was a different level of awful! He literally just ran back and forth like a headless chicken but never made a real challenge or did anything positive when he had the ball

We'd do better just to stick gallagher up front on his own with just one player behind him then overload the midfield areas, we have to get right back to basics Formation wise.!

Yakubu was quite the goalscoring beast for us especially considering it was an awful season with a terrible manager! Bellamy having probably the best run of his career in the short time he was with us, I'd also say Benni and Sants Cruz where a different class in their first seasons with us Kevin Gallagher i always felt had his best season with us right at the end under Hodgson(i think🤔) couldn't believe how good he was that season, scored some real special goals and showed great skill and technique on the ball that i never knew he had! (as I'd not actually seen much of him play prior to that season due to injuries, etc..) Jansen 😞 poor fella, he had it all! And was getting better and better all the time, Could have gone on to be something special but sadly we'll never know Andy cole was in really good form for us and showing his class in his first season with us before his pal Dwight arrived Even Mark hughes at around 38! was in good form for us and played a big role in us getting promoted Bloody hell even Paul Dickov was brilliant for us for a season! I think over the years we've just always been a good club for strikers because we always create chances even when we're in poor form, so any half decent forward should score goals here

Ok! Not including Shearer! Who has been OUR best striker/centre forward since the Prem started? (Because we've had a lot of bloody good uns over the years) I say "our" because I mean who was great for our team during their time here (ie. goal scoring wise Rhodes was incredible for us, but did nothing after leaving, so he wasnt/isnt a great player but was great for us!)

Newell was good and seemed to have a real affinity with the fans here, But Sutton was just a class above in ability and could probably have played more for England had he not shot himself in the foot there! and he also struggled with injuries, As with most players that leave us for big money we probably got the very best from him (yeh he was successful for Celtic, but the SPL is shite so it doesn't count)

Dreary fkin me. The teams below us take advantage of their games in hand and we're just heading for our usual 'mid table Mowbray' end to the season. I'm not seeing any determination at all to finish in the play offs anymore, were just back in doggy paddle mode.

If large sections of the Chelsea fans start pro abramovich/putin chants this weekend in protest... the club should be completely suspended from taking part in all Professional football competitions. It cannot just be brushed off as "banter"
