  1. The old pals act strikes again with Mowbray. Downing is here for nothing more than one final pay day. He's 36 had no pre season and hasn't played for 4 months. It's a very desperate act, from an increasingly desperate looking manager.
  2. I'd say Douglas was more likely taken off because he hasn't played much football than because he has booked.
  3. Identical situation? We were comfortably ahead against 10 men with half an hour to play. Boro were level with an hour to go against 11 men.
  4. Mowbray can't see him as much of a prospect. He's 21 so not a kid and is at best 6th choice. He couldn't even get on the bench last season when we had not fit left back and were allowed 9 on the bench.
  5. It's still 4-3-3 you are you just tinkering around the edges. The 4-3-3 system does not suit our players. I'd have a shortlist of 3 to replace Mowbray and those 3 would be Mark Hughes, Nigel Pearson and Tony Pulis.
  6. Don't know what's happened with Ayala Mowbray was hopeful he would be fit for Coventry. It must be a more serious injury than originally thought.
  7. 20 Points from the last 18 games playing 4-3-3 if we keep playing it you can forget the top 6 we will be more like bottom 6 with that sort of points return. It doesn't suit our players and no amount of tinkering will change that. There are a number of managers out there who I would take but it is pointless naming them as whenever posters name alternatives Mowbray's disciples on here tell us how we couldn't possibly attract any decent names that are mentioned and that there is no one better than their dear leader to manage the club.
  8. Because I think he will be off in January. I'm sure he's an ambitious young lad and he will see that we are going nowhere under Mowbray.
  9. I don't think that we are going to see much more of him in a Rovers shirt.
  10. What a knock out from Gervonta Davis last night against Leo Santa Cruz. A real shame that no British broadcaster is picking up these excellent cards that Top Rank are putting on, I mean how did Sky or BT not pick up the Lomachenko V Lopez card.
  11. We've had 20% of this season and can you not notice glaring similarities from the previous 2 season that clearly Mowbray is not capable of sorting?
  12. I asked how many more years before You can judge? As you said it far too early for you to judge.
  13. Easy Rovers win this over the clueless Warnock. The bloke clearly doesn't have a clue what he's doing by going into a club and taking them from relegation candidates to play off contenders in a matter of months. Doesn't he know that you need a slow build and to go on a journey to get out of this division.
  14. The local media are pathetic. I bet Mowbray can't believe his luck, he's got disinterested owners who never even visit, he has managed to get his mate appointed as CEO, he's got a local media who wouldn't dare to ask him a challenging question and just as he thought things couldn't get any better for him Covid hit so he has now has no fan pressure on him. I honestly think that he has the job here for as long as he wants it.
  15. Bournemouth just relegated from the Premiership have an expensive squad.
  16. In this current season no club in the Championship is going to be putting out a fully fit 11 for a number of weeks. I know Mowbray's disciples like to use the current situation as an excuse but the simple fact is that the other 23 clubs are all in the same boat.
  17. Warnock knows how to get promoted especially out of the Championship. He doesn’t mess about with slow building journeys, there’s no bullshit with him he says it as he sees it and doesn’t suffer fools. So he is basically the complete opposite of Mowbray which is why he has had a far more successful managerial career.
  18. Then it will be give him the start of next season, then it will be give him till Christmas, then it will be give him until the end of the season and on and on the cycle goes.
  19. You'd have thought that would have favoured us with Mowbray as manager.
  20. Every club is going to be having players missing with Covid or injuries we aren't the only club affected by them. How many more years before you can judge?
  21. That's just the thing Chaddy it doesn't suit us. We've played it practically every game since the return from lockdown and the results have not been good enough. We have 20 points from 17 games, over a season that sort of return would see you much closer to relegation than promotion.
  22. And more recently than Mowbray as well.
  23. Ditch the 4-3-3! Pears Nyambe Williams Wharton Douglas Trybull Davenport Elliott Holtby Dolan Armstrong Subs: Stergiakis, Lenihan, JRC, Evans, Chapman, Gallagher, Brereton
  24. If the club is going to try and progress then at some point they are going to have to appoint someone else. With Mowbray it will be mid table at best although I suspect a year or 2 more under him and it will be more a fight for survival.
