  1. You are forgetting the fact that the club has had very little income in the 7 months and that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.
  2. Charlie gone to Fleetwood. A good move for all parties. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/october/mulgrew-makes-fleetwood-move/
  3. I do hope we can manage to sort loans out for the likes of Magloire, Carter and Davenport they aren't going to get any game time here and need to start playing men's football regularly. I do wonder if he might try to shift Bennett out the door if we can get a wide man as it will only push him further away from the team and he must be on a decent wage.
  4. That we seem to be after an attacking wide man says to me that Mowbray see's JRC more as competition for Nyambe at right back rather than him playing further up the pitch.
  5. Harvey Elliott would be an incredible signing.
  6. Douglas Done https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/october/douglas-deal-done/
  7. He's playing in the front 3 in a team that has been scoring scoring goals for fun and he is still yet to register a goal or even an assist this season. The only reason people think that he is doing well is because he has been so bad that expectations for him couldn't be lower.
  8. The only thing that Brereton has proven to be is consistently useless.
  9. Having seen how Cardiff played at Ewood they will be an awful fit for him.
  10. How can anyone take anything that Neville says about the finance and sustainability of the game seriously. He is part owner of a club that over the last few years have spent crazy money. People like Neville are part of the problem not part of the solution.
  11. McCarthy and Santa Cruz spoke Spanish to each other.
  12. 100k according to Crooke. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-stergiakis-kaminski-transfers-19074147
  13. Having seen Norwich last season, I'm not sure if that is a good thing
  14. We've already had a 200K bid turned down for Pears and given the manager has said we aren't going to spend £1 Million on one player if we are paying 300-400K Boro want for Pears then that is a sizable chunk of the budget. Surely the much vaunted European scouting network will have enabled Mowbray to know all about the Greek lad prior to signing. Also he did cost a fee and has a 3 year contract. To go wasting clubs funds on a third goalkeeper in one window would be crazy.
  15. It would be crazy to waste money signing another goalie. I'd be prioritising a left back, right back, centre back, central midfielder, winger and a striker all above brining in another keeper.
  16. I have no dislike of Southgate, I just don't think he's a good manager. Wenger would be my personal preference for the job. As for being lucky anyone who knows anything about football would acknowledge that he got very lucky with the draw in the World Cup.
  17. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Bell Johnson Evans Rothwell Dolan Armstrong Chapman
  18. He can't move to a Premiership club until January.
  19. If you think beating Panama, Tunisia, Sweden and Colombia (on pens), whilst losing twice to Belgium and once to Croatia is a success story then you must have very low standards. 2002 under Sven as much as a success story as 2018. We may have only got to the quarters but we lost a close game by one freak goal to an outstanding Brazil team, in 2018 we lost 3 games and didn't even play a team near the standard of that Brazil team.
  20. Honestly there are an infinite amount of managers who would be better for the job than Southgate, its pointless me naming one as you will just criticise it like you do when someone suggests an alternative to Mowbray. Let's be honest he got very lucky with the draw in the world cup and a better manager at 1-0 up against Croatia would have seen the game out. Also let's not forget that in the world cup Southgate lost more games than any other England manager has every lost in a world cup tournament.
  21. Southgate plays more players out of position than Mowbray does. He got very lucky with the result on Sunday and today he got got he deserved. Pathetic tactics, it was almost like he settled for losing 1-0 at home to Denmark. We have a poor defence but some very talented attacking players yet he plays negative defensive football with 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders meaning the few attacking players he picks can't flourish. Also how on earth can Grealish not get on the pitch when we need a goal, instead he brings Henderson on for Rice and keeps Philips on. He's lost complete control of the dressing room, the players have no respect for him and no way should he be leading us into the Euros.
  22. Two problems there firstly we don't have a player worth £30 Million and secondly having seen how his signings for £5 Million+ have worked out it wouldn't be good for the club. I expect you would have said the same last season when they sold Maupay and didn't sign a replacement for him.
  23. I wouldn't call Dack a midfielder. Bannan is far more comparable with the likes of Johnson and Travis than Dack. It get's glorified because it has taken them from spending years in the bottom 2 tiers to within 1 game of the Premier League and now in a lovely new stadium as well. Our model (if we even have one) has taken us from mid table in the Premier League to where we are now via a stop off in the third tier on the way. The fact that we are even talking about a club like Brentford in the same breathe as Rovers is both a testament to the model that they have created and it is also a damning indictment on those running the show at Ewood. Don't worry with your mates running the show we'd never spend £10 Million on a player no matter how much we made in sales. When we sale Dack and Armstrong next summer they will be replaced with free transfers on cheap wages. Just like was done when the likes of Rhodes, Gestede, Cairney, Hanley Marshall, Duffy and King all left.
  24. It's how Brentford operate they have a history of selling players for large fees and replacing them with very good players. Something that you certainly couldn't say for your mates who own and run our club. Practically everything that Benham has done since he took over Brentford has been good for the club again the complete opposite of what has happened since your mates bought Rovers. If Rovers had made £50 Million on players we wouldn't see it reinvested in the club, as we saw when Rhodes, Marshall, Cairney, Duffy, Hanley, Gestede, Olsson and King all left in the space of a year and the only cash buy we made was Williams for £250K. Also you have completely neglected the fact that Brentford have spent £10 Million on a striker and he has already scored more goals for them in 4 games than Ben Brereton has managed for us in 2 and a half years.
