  1. Sounds like a very comfortable win. Delighted to see Dolan on the scoresheet that will do his confidence the world of good. Let's not get to carried away with the result though as Wycombe did finish 9th in League 1 last season.
  2. A rather rude and insulting post to probably the most knowledgeable football poster on the forum.
  3. The only sport that Sky seems really interested in now is Premier League football because they know that they have overpaid for it again.
  4. Disgraceful that Sky are not showing The Bob Willis Trophy final next week and are instead showing the corrupt Indian baseball. Sadly Sky's cricket content and quality of coverage is declining sharply from what it once was.
  5. You wouldn't want Evans in the trenches with you. Since coming back from his bad injury he has mustered 1 start and one sub appearance missing games with a broken toe and a bruised foot.
  6. Ditch the 4-3-3 a terrible system that does not suit us. To play it the 2 you need two good wide players in the front 3 and we don't have them. I'd go with. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Williams Evans Rothwell JRC Holtby Dolan Armstrong Subs: Fisher, Wharton, Bennett, Johnson, Davenport, Chapman, Gallagher
  7. It's called an organised defence. That is what wins football matches.
  8. Newcastle were very comfortable and never even needed to get out of first gear. We are too easy to play against, we pass the ball around nicely but don't really look like troubling the opposition who can just sit back soak it up and then hit our shambolic back line on the counter.
  9. I have to agree at the moment he reminds me of Elliott Bennett, he works very hard, will play in a number of position but is lacking any real quality.
  10. Doesn't help that he keeps playing different positions. At the moment he seems like a jack of all trades master of none.
  11. Typical I pop out for an hour and miss the announcement. Ayala is a very good defender however his injury record is a concern. Another centre back and a left back and finally for the first time in far too long we will have a solid looking defence.
  12. Each game that supporters are unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions or excess demand will be compensated by the Season Pass holder being provided with a free iFollow Rovers match pass (worth £10), as well as the remaining value of the pro-rata rate (£7.34 per game based on a £399 Season Pass and £1.69 per game for a £269 Season Pass) off their 2021-22 Season Pass. Waggott already laying the ground work for next seasons price increase.
  13. At those prices I can't see us selling much over 5000. £400 is excessive for any stand but to charge that to sit in the Riverside is a bloody disgrace.
  14. I was welling up watching it, utterly heartbreaking to see. Your heart goes out to him, his wife and kids.
  15. But it wasn't the transfer window.
  16. No he doesn't the summer window didn't open until 27th July, Dolan signed on a free on July 1st.
  17. Better first 11 in your opinion. I'd say it's pretty even Higher market value in your opinion but no one can say for certain unless the players are sold, as a player is only worth what a club are willing to pay. Better league position is academic now as the season has ended, but I don't think that finishing above them by 6 positions for the first time in years classes as being in a significantly better position. It depends what you define as a young player? I'd define a young player as 21 and under in which case again I would say it is even. But if you class 22-23 year olds like Nyambe, Travis and Armstrong as youngsters then I would say we do have the slight edge. Middlesbrough's academy like ours is category one so they are both on a par. Although Middlesbrough have certainly made more in player sales from their academy than we have in recent years. They got £15 Million for Gibson 2 years ago it been nearly a decade since we got that sort of money for a player from our academy. In fact since we sold Jones we haven't made £15 Million altogether on academy players never mind just one. One thing is for certain in no area are we in a significantly better position than Middlesbrough and one plus you forgot to add for them was that they have a sensible and reliable owner.
  18. Quite possibly yes I think it is. But it is not an identical squad he has already signed 3 players and some have left. And you are also assuming that we will get the same amount of points this season. I can say he is because I believe it having seen how Mowbray has operated the last few years. What categories are we in a significantly better positions in?
  19. It's quite simple the Warnock factor he knows the league inside out and has had plenty of success in it. Warnock's nous alone will be worth a fair few points for them. Whereas our manager is more of a hinderance than a help and his lack of nous costs us points over the course of a season. Also I'm not so sure that they will need to climb 6 places to finish above us.
  20. Sounds like he's running out of ideas.
  21. He knows how to get promoted, 8 promotions in his career and 3 from the second tier. Dolan signed as a free agent on July 1st. The window for this summer didn't open until July 27th, so no Dolan was not signed in this window.
  22. Not sure how Waggott could afford to do that given he is pleading poverty over what would be a £60-£80 refund. Also looking at the terms of conditions and taking into account the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you would have a very very strong case.
  23. Not every club for example PNE did similar to us but the vast majority of clubs did offer refunds.
  24. What a disgraceful response. Threaten them with legal action that will soon get you your refund as legally they don't have a leg to stand on.
  25. Yet they have already signed 3 players and we have only manged bring one in.
