A week away from the start of the season that is a terrible looking squad.
-
That must have been the real reason why they were deducted 12 points. Disgraceful from them such a flagrant breach of the rules.
-
Except you used Middlesbrough as an example for a game where we would need a third kit. Now you are saying that there isn't a clash of kits with Middlesbrough. Which begs the question why did you say we would need a third kit against them?
-
As I have said commercial reasons, please read the post fully to save me repeating myself. Last season at Ewood Charlton, Middlesbrough and Barnsley all wore their home kit and the games passed without any problems yet when we went to their grounds we changed in all 3 games. Why? It obviously wasn't an issue of colour clash. But I suppose when you have 3 kits you need to get plenty of wear out of all 3 for commercial reasons.
-
Your moving the goalposts now though Chaddy. Your original argument was that we couldn't wear our home kit because it clashed, since then you have seen that previously we have worn our home kit with no problem and now you have changed the argument to what we wore last season. A lot of the time these days sides wear their away kit away not due to colour clash but for commercial reasons.
-
Why are you asking me if those pictures are from last season, surely even you can deduce that those pictures are not form last season. However that does not change the point that we have played at those clubs in our home kit and colour clash has not been an issue.

It's certainly a vast improvement on last seasons eyesore.

The difference is Wycombe have never played at this level in their history they know whatever they put their tickets on sale for they will sale. Also Wycombe and the surrounding area are affluent places. At Rovers we are seeing declining season ticket sales, a stagnating team and the area its self which was far from affluent before Covid has been one of the hardest hit by Covid. And that is why our sales will be poor for the new season. Also compare and contrast (from the link below) what Wycombe did to what Waggott did. Waggott would have got a bit more sympathy for raising prices again if he hadn't opted for the disgraceful approach that he did at the end of last season. Sadly we are not seen as supporters by Waggott but just as customers and all he is interested in are our wallets. https://www.wycombewanderers.co.uk/news/2020/june/ticket-rebate-options-announced/

I highly doubt that the facilities in the Riverside compare with the facilities at Brentford's new stadium. In fact there are better facilities in the National League North than those you get in the Riverside.

London prices and a new ground.

Just gone logged onto the online shop to buy my new shirt as instructed by Mr Waggott earlier and lo and behold they aren't on sale yet. What a Shambles this club is.
-
Too good for us.

It's saddens me to say but with the wording of the club statement today conflict between supporters was inevitable. In fact it almost looked as though the statement was designed to pitch fans against each other. All this 'We Are Together' bollocks. The strapline should have been 'Give us your money if you want to be classed as a a loyal fan'.

Liverpool's season tickets were to watch the European Champions and they are one of the biggest supported clubs in the world. So I'm not sure that their season ticket prices bare any relevance to watching Tony Mowbray's 2nd tier mid table plodders in a half empty stadium. I would pitch it as affordable. Riverside stand £250, Blackburn End & Jack Walker Lower £300 and Jack Walker Upper £350. Bolton have already sold over 7000 season tickets, I can't see us selling more than that. 5000 to 7000 maximum is what I reckon we will sell. I personally was undecided on getting a season ticket this season although it must be said I was swaying more towards not getting one and knowing that the price is going to be hiked up again it has made my mind up that I definitely will not be getting one.

David Marshall on 30K a week, do me a favour. ?
-
How does he know that things are going on if he doesn't know about them? ? Talk about a contradiction in terms.
-
It's a shame that the clubs don't treat us a supporters but rather as customers.
-
He's come out with some crap over the last few years has Waggott but this tops the lot. He's completely out of touch with the fans, the club and the town. If we are all in it together will he, Mowbray, Venus etc be all taking salary cuts? I thought it was insulting at the time when fans were being asked not to request a refund that Mowbray said. 'If you just cast someone aside to save a few a quid, that wouldn’t be the right thing to do in my mind'. Well coupled with this price rise it was a bloody disgraceful comment and sums up what this club has become.

He signed a new contract less than a year ago and is contracted until 2024.

So which quote of these that you made is the one that you actually believe to be true? As they can't both be true. Your original statement was that 'Bids are in for players from what we know from local journalists and People on here who have good contacts within the club'. Or the response you gave when I asked did we really know that bid's were in as there is only concrete evidence that we have bid for Kipre. To which you responded 'Yes. That's because we keep our businesses under wraps very well these days like. So which is it?
-
I couldn't care less about Middlesbrough and other clubs. The first 3 points are on offer in 9 days time not on October 16th and we are heading into that first game with a very weak squad. Do we know? The only player there seems to be any concrete evidence that we have a bid in for is Kipre. Anyway it's all well and good bidding for players but you have to actually sign players. From what Sharpe has reported from the January window it seems like we were bidding for players who we knew we would have no chance of signing.
-
Just 9 days until the season starts and we still want 6 players. What a shambles.

Who? Where?
