Wow what an achievement we are in the same division as Brentford. Although a shame we did finish 18 points behind them. All Hail King Mowbray.
-
What exactly are Mowbray and his players then? Just not very good?
-
But they did sell nearly £40 Million worth of players. This is where Mowbray has had an advantage over practically every manager in the division over the last 2 seasons, he has had good money to spend and has been allowed to keep all of his key players. Very few managers get the opportunity to do both of those.
-
What a genius idea to step up our search for a goalkeeper given we have no keeper and the new season starts in 3 weeks. Does this crap really pass as journalism these days.
-
Anyone with a memory that stretches back just a few years.
-
A stopgap for what?
-
The funds were there last year but he spent them on Gallagher instead. As for Walton being reasonable, you must be joking.
-
So of his cash buys only 2 of them would deliver a profit. Rather damning.
-
This is exactly what I feared and warned posters about who bought into Mowbray's slow build. You can't have the finances we have and spend what we have spent on players just to plod along in mid table. This summer was always going to be make or break, sadly it seems as though it is going to be break. I suspect that by the time Mowbray leaves Rovers the club won't be in any better a place than when he found it, in the last 2 years he has undone the good work he did previously. Promotion could have been a springboard for this club as the likes of Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Southampton & Norwich have shown in recent years. Sadly from Waggott and Mowbray there seemed to be no ambition to try and emulate these clubs. If either man had any honour about them then they would resign.

A real shame how injuries have ruined his career. Eight or nine years ago he looked such a good player that at 31 I'd have had him down as a lynchpin of the Bayern team and around 100 caps for Germany.
-
Give him a 2 year contract like Wigan did.
-
Has he? Not for me he hasn't.
-
I'm struggling to think how.
-
Time to withdraw the offer for Downing. At his age he needs all the pre season that he can get. We let Rodwell take the piss last year over his contract offer let's not repeat the same mistake this year and lets move on to younger hungrier players who want to play for us.
-
Say's a team from Blackburn.
-
Our game against PNE was our 27th game of the season and that was just his 12th appearance of the season. Not sure how you can say he was our best player when even pre injury he missed over 55% of matches.
-
And never played a competitive game.
-
Yes he was unlike the bloke we have now.
-
We had a good manager then.
-
The Tony Mowbray Pension Pot.

90% of transfer links are complete nonsense and are just agents putting their clients name out there to try and generate interest. Take this lad Hoffman, we've probably never even heard of him as I doubt that out European scouting network has yet reached the Isle of Wight. But he probably fancies another crack at the Championship so his agent has seen Rovers release Graham so he starts circulating our name with being interested in him, then others clubs knows that he is open to a move.
-
Yet you were advocating us singing a keeper on the back of a performance in a game where he conceded 5.
-
The first 3 points are on offer September 12th. By the time the transfer window closes we will have played for 24 points.
-
So it was a good job to take over, but you thought that they were going down. Alright then thanks for clearing that up. ?
-
You also said (wrongly) that he was heading for relegation unless a 12 point deduction got him off the hook. Now you are saying that it was a good job to take over. So which one was it?
