  1. But that is only half the story isn't it. Why don't you say why the club needs that money put into it every year?
  2. I'm not talking about League 1 or League 2 but the National League and below. I find going watch that a much more enjoyable experience than watching the Championship or Premiership. I've been to more non-league games the last few seasons than Rovers games despite having a season ticket although I had already decided pre covid that I would not be renewing for the coming season.
  3. These day's I much prefer going to watch non-league games than watching Championship or Premiership football. It's proper football not the sanitized products that the top leagues have become.
  4. I've never had a complimentary ticket to a sporting event it my life so you are completely wrong there. FYI- I didn't ask but you gave yourself a chance to get another boast in.
  5. And how make clubs wouldn't snap your hand of to have Venkys. A lot more than 3 I would wager.
  6. Fair play to him, if you didn't have to pay to watch it why would you. Perhaps Waggott should be listening to people like him then he might not miss his target for season tickets so badly Funny that's how I will when I see people saying we should be thankful to the owners.
  7. Are you talking about anyone in particular or just making huge generalisations?
  8. They haven't got near to scoring the goals that Barnsley and Luton's forwards have, let alone Brentford.
  9. Wells actually scored 5 goals at Bristol City, he only signed for them in January and ended as the season as the Championship's 5th highest scorer. So I'd say £4 Million for him was a decent bit of business. As for West Brom they got promoted so their recruitment can't have been to bad.
  10. Decent defender but very injury prone.
  11. It's no good trying, you have to go out and get them otherwise you end up with a sub-par panic signing like Walton.
  12. Yet we paid £7 Million for Brereton and £5 Million for Gallagher. That says to me that we are not averse to significantly overpaying for players.
  13. I take it you mean Southampton have been had.
  14. I didn't rate Raya when he was here and thought that £3 Million for him was good money and I still do. However some of the vitriol aimed at Raya aimed by certain posters on here is pathetic especially when you consider that was a good professional for the club, has never said a bad word about it and only left after the manager had made it clear he wasn't wanted. Raya is what he is, he's a keeper capable of the spectacular but also capable of such basic mistakes as he showed last night. Unlike some though I didn't take any pleasure in seeing a player who had come through our academy make such a crucial mistake last night just so I could score some I told you so points, I felt gutted for the lad.
  15. I wouldn't be against selling say a key player to reinvest in the side. Norwich and Sheffield United did it and both got promoted and Brentford did it and got to the play off final. But I would have absolutely zero faith in Tony Mowbray to reinvest that money to improve the team, he'd most likely come back with a handful of magic beans.
  16. If every club is using it to get ahead then for the vast majority of them it isn't working.
  17. The trouble was the bloke he brought into replace him made Raya look like Lev Yashin.
  18. Harrison Reed's picked up a knock but is staying on. He obviously didn't watch Corry Evans like Mowbray told him to.
  19. Raya is capable of pulling of some fantastic saves but he makes too many basic errors.
  20. To be honest I don't think either side look like scoring.
  21. Fulham the better side, controlling the midfield but they are really lacking up top without Mitrovic.
  22. If Bristol City appoint Holden as manager it will be for one reason and that is that he is cheap.
  23. That won't go down well with their fans.
