But you have completely neglected the massive impact that Covid will have had on our finances.
-
That's not what J*B is saying. He's saying that because of the amount of money that Covid has cost the club, the club have had to place a number of the ground staff on furlough meaning that they cannot maintain the same amount of pitches as they normally do.
-
I know that Covid19 will have had a substantial impact on the clubs finances. That is just basic common sense. Perhaps you are correct and we will spend £5 Million on players but I suspect it is wishful thinking by you just like when you thought there was going to a vaccine ready in September. Your calculations are anything but logical, they are the calculations of someone with their head in the clouds and their fingers in their ears.
-
But you have neglected numerous thing most of all the impact that Covid19 will have had on the club's finances. Not to mention clauses that may well have been triggered in contracts over the past season. It's not a simple as there's X amount of the wage bill so that automatically goes on the transfer budget, as you seem to think.
-
If only it was that simple in reality.
-
One shot at Walton was more than enough.
-
They wouldn't if they saw what he spent their cash on.
-
But what are these offers? The club give their player to us on a free transfer and we pay the player £500 a week. Whatever the offers are the fact is that it has been nearly a year since we signed a player shows that the offers are obviously not good enough. Which suggests either funds are very tight or we have some very poor negotiators.
-
And Henning Berg.
-
Big Sam worked for them and he doesn't have much good to say about them. Are you saying that's the same for everyone who has ever worked for them? It doesn't surprise me if they treat their staff like they do their football club and its supporters.
-
Because we all already know the answer to that.
-
Why not? It's perfectly plausible that even if we can't pay fees for players we could have asked a club if their unused and unwanted was available for a free transfer.
-
We made an enquiry but Wednesday said that they weren't giving him away for nothing so that was the end of the conversation.
-
If you want to believe every word that comes out of Steve Waggott's mouth then you carry on. He could say we had a budget of £100 Million it doesn't mean it's true. If we did have a budget of £1 Million it is a bloody awful show by him and Mowbray that they could find a player to improve the team and negotiate a price, as there were plenty of areas where players were and still are needed. The fact is we have not spent a single penny on a transfer fee for over a year and to me that speaks volumes about are funds or rather lack off.
-
Just a shame that they provide so few assists. Which natural wingers would provide.
-
Are you really so naïve?
-
Well he would, wouldn't he. He's hardly going to come out and say we haven't got a pot to pee in. The fact speak for themselves we haven't signed a player for nearly a year, clearly the tap has been turned off in Pune.

The difference is under Sam and for most of the time under Souness the club was in the top flight and the club was in a financially sound position. Now we are a mid table second tier team who are a financial mess. If the club is going to just keep their finances as they are, comply with FFP and improve the team, then we are going to need to sell a player for decent money every summer. It's what most clubs in this league do. As long as Souness' and Allardyce's signings were coming in a contributing to us staying in the Premier League then they were paying for themselves. Players coming in and keeping us mid table in the Championship and not increasing their value are only costing the club money.
-
Nothing to do with the fact that they have given your dear leader over £15 Million in the last 2 years and seen very little return for it, which in turn has pushed us close to the brink in terms of FFP. Also we had no money to spend in January and Covid wasn't an issue then.
-
You mean the great Tony Mowbray is not in demand. Why ever not?
-
And why is that?
-
Just remind me again why we have no funds.
-
And finished 18 points behind them. What's your point?
-
Your dear leader on Brentford before we played them in February this year 'we’re mindful of what a good team they are, what good individuals they have and how good their recruitment has been.'
-
Of his signings for fees the only ones we will see a profit from are those two. Is that really acceptable out of around 15 cash buys that he has made? Not for me but I know that your standards are very low.
