The most defeats we have ever suffered at a world cup.

Got very lucky with the draw. We only played 2 good sides and lost all 3 games to them. The most defeats we have ever suffered at a world cup.
-
I'm not sure if he is taking the piss or just deluded.
-
Other clubs don't have Mowbray, Waggott and Venus.
-
Starting the season with Derrick Williams and Amari Bell in defence is a recipe for disaster and a sad indictment of the clubs shambolic work in the transfer market.
-
He's a cart horse. He even looked out of place against the Czech Republic's 3rd 11 the other night.
-
You can't have seen much of him play.
-
And that is exactly what they seem to do once they meet Waggott and Mowbray, they find another club with more ambition.
-
It would certainly be a big U-turn given all the talk about trying to play from the back and then signing Scott McKenna
-
If we insist on a self imposed wage cap, then Mowbray simply has to be sacked and a man brought in who is an overachiever and who knows how to work the market. Mowbray is simply not that man. His only achievements at West Brom and here in League 1 came when he had one of if not the biggest budget in the divisions. God knows why he's a cart horse.

Time to get the violin out.

Yet pubs across the country are open with people crammed into them. It's much safer be stood outside in the fresh air watching a game of football than sat inside a cramped pub.

It's not Covid that is stopping you returning to stadiums, it is the government. As I said earlier, I'm off to my 4th football match of the season tonight. It is utterly ridiculous that at least a few thousand aren't allowed into a 31000 capacity stadium.
-
You are when it suits your argument though. See exhibit A and exhibit B below.

It could be £1 Million and he would still look a waste of money.
-
Who knows Ah yes apologise, I forgot he left and went back. Because they got him on a free transfer originally. Although I suspect he may well leave this summer, he must be on very big wages. Very few transfer are paid all up front straight away. Most transfer are fees are spread across a period of time.

Swansea couldn't.
-
Perhaps he wants to stay there. Who knows.
-
You couldn't have been clearer Chaddy. Saying that clearly we had a bid accepted. Now you are saying clearly we had no official bid in. Both your cleary's cannot be correct and it is unusual for you to take more than one position on something. ?
-
Well you certainly believed it less than 2 months ago.

But it is important to see how these clubs raise the funds to be able to spend such money. You are making it sound as simple as the Chairman saying there is a cheque for X amount now go out and spend it. Brentford couldn't spend what they have spent if they didn't sell to finance it. We could have taken the Brentford approach, no doubt if Dack played for them then they would have cashed in by now on him and spent that money on strengthening their squad. But we have chosen not to sell our key players yet we still have funds to strengthen on top of that. There are very few managers in this division who have that luxury.
-
What's the net spend? That is what you have to look. at For example Brentford will be comfortably in profit. Birmingham have sold Adams and Bellingham over the last two summers so that puts them straight into a profit. Forest have just got £16 Million for Cash, they got £7 Million for Brereton, £4 Million for Osborne, £8 Million for Appiah and £15 million for Assombalonga. So they are in profit. This is where Mowbray has been incredibly lucky he has been given good funds to strengthen and has not had to sell any of his key players. Also how many of those players at the likes of Middlesbrough, Huddersfield and Swansea were bought in the Premiership and have since left?
-
When we signed them is irrelevant they still cost a combined £15 Million and there aren't many teams in the league that could put out an attacking 3 that cost that much. In fact sides like Preston and Millwall who finished above us last season probably couldn't even put out an 11 that cost that much never mind a front 3.
-
The flip side to that coin is that if you leave it late in the window you end up panic buying and over paying. See Brereton as a case in point.
