  1. Holtby on for Graham. He has completely lost the plot. Does he know we had no shots in the first half. let him have his 6 games then he can fuck right off.
  2. Can't wait for Chaddy to post the passing stats from the club site to prove Tony is a genius.
  3. Tony Mowbray :- "the first 6 games were hard ones. The next 6 games are easier and we intend to get 15 points" Sane Fans :- "bullshit Tony"
  4. 30 mins played. zero shots on target in fact zero shots.
  5. Away from today's game, Craig Conway has joined Salford City and goes straight into their side for the League Two game with Walsall
  6. Hopefully he is lining them up like this :- Walton Bennett Lenihan Williams Cunningham Evans Dack Rothwell Downing Graham Armstrong
  7. Selling trainers to fund an election campaign fought on the platform of Venkys Out. Cant think of anything better !
  8. Rhodes = instinctive striker Gallagher = lumox Rhodes = instinctive striker Graham = instinctive striker
  9. This is what Mowbray does. Concentrating on getting certain players on the pitch instead of picking a well balanced side ? Who will score the goals in that team ? Although I agree that team is far more likely, I don't think it will win many football matches.
  10. I never rated Cairney at all Chaddy. Ability, yes. But I always thought he thought he was gods gift to football and his attitude to playing here stunk. Perhaps that was just because he wanted to be in London but we were never going to build a successful side around that lad. I consider him one of my least liked Rovers players of all time. The opposite of the words on our badge.
  11. And the fact is they were bought by "bigger clubs" because of the goals they scored. i.e. proven goalscorers Whether those particular moves were right for those individuals careers is another matter entirely.
  12. Starting Line up :- Walton Nyambe Toshin Williams Cunningham Johnson Travis Holtby Rothwell Gallagher Graham 60 minute lineup :- Walton Nyambe Toshin Williams Cunningham Dack Travis Holtby Arma Gallagher Samuel
  13. We all acknowledge that DG is getting older and needs to be replaced. That is why we need to buy replacement strikers (we have). Play the strikers as strikers (not wingers). Those strikers need to be good enough and score goals. I thought Arma played well against Forest and is better out wide. He has pace and not much else. Certainly isn't a centre forward. Gallagher has been rubbish since he came, playing out wide. OK I will rephrase that to completely ineffectual. BB was scoring goals in pre season. Samuel has been scoring in the reserves. Mowbray has 2 things he has to find a way to achieve this season. 1. Get us into the top 6. 2. Find a replacement for DG / find an effective way to play and scores goals without him.
  14. Last season Chaddy claimed that Graham's legs had gone but then was proven wrong. This season a few more seem to be on that bandwagon. Meanwhile Danny is still our best and most proven goalscorer. Only these youngsters getting the game time at present can change that, by doing what they are paid for, banging in goals. So far nobody has claimed the right to take over from DG as the main striker. In fact our shots on target ratio so far this season has been woeful. As long as we need GOALS to win games to get points, DG has to play. Dack also seems to be much more involved when playing with DG.
  15. Going to go down 1 day next week. On until the 20th. Free admission. http://www.visitblackburn.co.uk/whats-on/british-textile-biennial-adidas-spezial-exhibition-p960920 Also just looking forward to being inside one of Blackburn's historic buildings which I often frequented. 80's nostalgia. trainers, terraces, unit 4. https://www.spezialblackburn.com
  16. MUST WIN GAME ! Otherwise we can't reach Mowbray's 12 points from 6 target. MUST WIN GAME !
  17. never mind the money on the daily upkeep of the deserted Neville mansion. council tax to Bolton council. utility bills. all paid for from the proceeds of season ticket sales.
  18. so it equates to circa 1000 fans down on budget meaning the budget was probably 9500 with the stretch target of 10,000. Fact is, they didn't do a single thing, not one initiative to attract and entice this extra 1-1.5K sales. So hardly surprising really. so what if they (now) did something creative. 20 quid to enter a lottery. 2000 STs on offer at £100 each. This would give us 10,600 ST holders. We will lose 10% at the end of the season so we get to 9600 next season as a starter. 3000 enter at 20 quid = 60K 2000 win at 100 quid = 200K leaving us only 40K under budget. more significantly we raise ST sales. or lets do nothing and stay as we are. 20,000 empty seats.
  19. Fans Forum Minutes finally available on the club website. https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/d47edf0f19cd47dea3a73e898f8da69c/ff-minutes-9.9.19.docx 2019-20 Season Ticket Sales Mike Cheston confirmed that the club had sold just over 8,600 paid season tickets. The proposed prize draw had had little effect on sales. This meant that the club’s income from season tickets was down about £300,000 on the annual budget.
  20. Mowbray set the target of 12 points from the next 6 games. Personally I thought the target should be 15. He is 7 from 4. Arguably better than the initial 7 from the first 6. Need to beat both QPR and Huddersfield or I presume he will accept failure.
  21. It has come down to this. Lowly expectations thanks to social conditioning from India.
  22. December. Still waiting for them to publish the minutes of the last one from 4 weeks ago. They are hiding something.
  23. Tony Mowbray felt a failure to register more than two shots on target, and conceding from a set piece, were big disappointments from the defeat to Luton. However, the boss felt the performance on a whole, if replicated, would win Rovers more games than they lose as they seek a response against Nottingham Forest. Rovers had 17 shots on goal, but Lewis Travis' goal, and a second half Danny Graham shot, were the only two that managed to hit the target. So he basically thinks that the performance was good. Nobody on here seems to agree. And he seems to have finally picked up on the glaring stat that we are only getting 1 or 2 shots on target each game. Armstrong 0, Gallagher 0, Graham 1 (after 3 minutes on the pitch). A few more games and the penny might drop that Graham is our best striker and needs to be on the pitch.
  24. At 60 minutes we had had only one shot on target. First 15 minutes couldn't have been that good.
