Baffling decision by them. Seems such a top lad and comfortable at this standard. Great “get” for us.
-
Of course he is. Look at us before him. He almost kept us up, convinced Venkys to keep the likes of Graham and Mulgrew, got us promoted from league 1. That promotion in its self is legend status, look at the clubs that can’t get out of that league. If we didn’t do it that first season, I don’t think we would be out of it now.

Sitting 4th in the league as we come into December after having no money to spend and you digging out the manager? Really? -

Sadly missed the game today, but I am so happy with the win! I didn’t expect it to be honest, finally managed to win a game to take us to top 6. What’s up with Kaminski? Is he okay? -
I’ve always said this, and I don’t know if I am right or wrong, but I believe we signed Brereton out of our budget that year. I believe we had a budget for season, Brereton became available, so we got extra funds to sign him as an asset for the future.
-
I first saw Brereton when we beat Forrest away the year we got relegated. He stood out to me that day because of the way the home fans treated him and how he glided across the pitch with the ball. My brother lives in Bristol, we went to the game the season before Covid and I was telling him how bad this Brereton had been, and after the game he agreed. Last week I went to Bristol game with him and was telling how great Brereton was, he wasn’t having it. Then after the game, despite Brereton not being massively involved, he took his offside goal well and got the equaliser, my brother appreciated the change in the player. I have always supported him, but his price tag made you forget his age in the early seasons.

One thing I noticed on Brereton Instagram account, is he no longer looks surprised when he scored a goal. Great to see.

January Transfer window 2022

True, if anywhere then right back would be it. -
In actual fact he signed two young strikers for 8 million in Armstrong and Brereton. One scored 29 goals and was sold for a massive profit, the other is now on 15 goals so far this season and also likely to go for big bucks, or stay and do a great job. Buy you attackers and sell them for profit is the only model we got. Defenders won’t go for the same. But when you bring in a player like Ayala on a free then who’s complaining? Last season the criticism of Mowbray using his Boro links like it was a weakness, when in reality Downing was our best player his first season and Ayala has been a rock this season. Their is an obvious trend of people on here slagging off Mowbray signings and then looking stupid.

Yeah but with our pauper budget we won’t sign anyone better. I think we are covered well in all positions as it is. I would never turn down a player who would make us better, but I’m not going into January refreshing the transfer thread hoping we sign someone. -

With Dack, Gallagher and JRC to come back I don’t think we need to add to the squad in January, unless it’s a opportunity for the future or replace an out going player. -
It really is incredible. His 2nd goal, no way he scoring that 2 seasons ago. I see the odd comment people saying Rovers fans eating their words etc, but I disagree. Whilst I think we all knew he wasn’t great, he’s always had a huge backing from fans willing him to do well.

A great win. Regardless of the opposition, we see time and time again in this league teams slip up in these fixtures. We we’re clinical tonight. To many times last season we dominated but didn’t take chances. They had a 10 min spell start second half where with some poor defending we still managed a clean sheet, but that’s what having a great keeper like Kaminski is all about. You can’t get carried away in this league, but to quote Mowbray we put the points in the bag and move on. Start of season, I would take where we are at and how we are playing. -
Yeah, maybe because their is food to buy. Supply and demand. There is no where to buy food outside Ewood, bar a burger van not affiliated to the club hidden behind club shop. Bristol today, you were security checked, then let into an area outside ground full of their fans drinking and eating from multiple outlets. Ewood you just rock up, can go get a fosters from the gazebo or go inside and take your seat.

Until Poveda got injured he was playing as a right back and was still useless today. Against Derby and today, Buckley has had a hand in our 3 goals from right back, offering us something Nyambe can’t. That’s not to say I’d rather Buckley there, as against some teams he would get torn a new one defensively. But essentially we need a mixture of Nyambe and Buckley at right back. All I know is the more I’m seeing Nyambe this season the less I care if he leaves in the summer.

Premier League season 21/22
Wood26 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I honestly dont think any other Premier League side would hire Ole. If he’s not gone in the morning I’ll be baffled. -
Someone touched on this elsewhere, but at Bristol today their was so many fans outside the ground drinking and eating etc. At Ewood we have the gazebo by Jacks statue and that’s it. Bristol must of had 10 or so food/booze stations outside the ground bringing in money for them. I am not from area, so tend to just go in Blues bar. Is there any pubs near the ground fans go? I haven’t seen any. But having more facilities outside the ground would clearly make for a better ewood experience and bring in more money. Where do locals go before home games?

Thank you for explaining, I have just joined.

Heard someone try start a “Mowbray out” chant today when 1-0 down and was quickly shouted down by those around them.
