  1. Wouldn’t have a problem with it, but no wouldn’t drop our captain he’s done nothing wrong. Good problem to have.
  2. Just got home. First half we looked dangerous with Poveda and Khadra but it always seemed to just be final ball. Hope Poveda is okay and no idea how it wasn’t a free kick having not seen it on tv. We looked so much better with Ayala and Rothwell, which we all know. Ayala has to play which is a shame for Wharton because he done nothing wrong at all. Think we got a good player in Edun. Diaz is better for me when he’s wider. Draw is probably fair, was definitely winnable though.
  3. Trying to understand what this is all about? I clicked the link, you want us in the prem by 2025? Is this a joke or am I missing the point? A Rovers trust isn’t going to get us promoted. What is the £10 paying for? There is a lengthy post above from Rovers Trust apologising for delays etc. That’s the exact thing that annoys me about Rovers as it is, everything takes for ever and always an excuse. In Rovers Trust post the excuse is covid. I would like the be better educated on this and hope it’s a benefit to the club and I’m just massively missing the point. But so far all I see is a ridiculous objective (prem by 2025), £10 join, already bad service the type I don’t want from rovers, and no real idea what you are really doing. Please enlighten me and don’t point to a link like someone did above because that told me nothing.
  4. I agree with a lot you say there minus the piss poor bit but I appreciate it’s your opinion. But out of our squad, what we have, I feel we are better of with him in the team. Diaz is a no brainer. I think we our at our best with Diaz Dolan Gallagher. And if I had to make changes to that, it would be Poveda/Khadra into replace Dolan. For what we have, I think Gallagher starting makes us stronger.
  5. Exactly, especially when it comes to games like Luton or Barnsley, the casual doesn’t give a shit who we play that day.
  6. I would never say Gallagher is one of our best players, but when looking at the impact he makes of the whole game then he does very well. Take away missing easy chances, he’s an outlet for us and his height gives us a different option and makes defenders think. Was it Fulham, when still 1-0, we kept pumping it but had no Gallagher to compete. And defensively when he went off against Derby we looked it so much trouble. I see him as similar to Armstrong (before the goals came) and he was out on the wing. A lot of fans calling for him not to play, but having him there with his pace made a difference to how the opposition played. (Not saying Gallagher has the pace, but the big man outlet). I think it was Cardiff, we aimed all our long balls out left for Gallagher to try win and if he did Diaz was in behind him. Dolan gets a lot of love, and I love Dolan, but Gallagher probably offers more if we are honest.
  7. When you word it like that it really does look ridiculous them prices. Why is WBA £5 more then Swansea for example. Or Preston £2 cheaper then WBA. Just set one price and stick to it for all games. For the casual I doubt they sir and think well Swansea is £5 cheaper let’s go to that. Fans will come if we perform (like we mostly do so far) and prices are reasonable aka no more then £25.
  8. I would love to see a drill down if it’s available anywhere on what tickets we do sell per age range. I see a lot of youngsters 18-23 and a lot of the seniors. Their tickets are £18-£24. Which is a price range I think all tickets should be. Be keen to see how many we sell at 18-Senior age.
  9. There is no sign of this though. The opposite in fact as our best player Dack signed a new deal. In recent years we haven’t lost anyone that we didn’t want to. Including keeping the likes of Graham and Mulgrew in league one. The only one argument could be Armstrong, but it was clear to everyone he would be moving to prem. I would say so far in the Mowbray era we have been great at retaining players. This could look silly in summer if these 4 leave, and time will tell, but maybe they won’t. But on actual departures in Mowbray era, the Raya one was odd, but everything else I think has been handled fine.
  10. I agree with what you saying about the journey stuff, I don’t buy into that at all. We don’t know if we offered a realistic wage or not. I would guess we did, we did for Dack who would be on far more then those 3. No matter our opinions of anyone in charge, they don’t want to lose those 3 players, to think otherwise is naive. The more logical explanation is the 2 academy lads want to try something new, and Nyambe prob thinks he can get prem. Likewise Rothwell, who has no ties to this club, has prob been told he can get something we can’t give him.
  11. What annoys me is our social media team or whatever they are, are quick to get players to say “happy with win, fans were great” crap when we win. But when we get humiliated at home that social media team didn’t think to tell players to apologise for the performance, instead it seems instruction was to stay off it.
  12. I’m not on the wind up. I wasn’t thinking about those contracts during my post to be fair. But that’s a separate issue. But on the subject or Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell, why are fans blaming the club for them not wanting to stay? People will say we shouldn’t be letting them leave on a free, but Lenihan and Nyambe have been with us there whole career. We know the plan would of been to sell them, but if no one wants to buy them what can we do? Then they won’t sign new deals and leave for a free. Which is a disaster for us, but if no one wants Nyambe last year, and he now won’t sign, what can you do? What Rothwell is doing is what we did to sign him in the first place. Dack signed a new deal, Buckley signed, the ones that don’t clearly want to try something new. Blame them not the club.
  13. If we had a new manager start of season and was in position we are in, we would be happy. The un-rest comes from that we know it’s the same guy who took us on a 17 game winless run. We know he’s peeked and a change is needed.
  14. That’s just not how business works. The manager doesn’t pick the CEO (his boss). If the big plan is for Mowbray and his mate to just rinse the club dry, why’s Waggott not given him a new deal?
  15. I know this may seem far fetched for some, but maybe Venkys know Mowbray had 1 season left, this season FFP meant funds be limited, so they are saving them selves to replace the manager end of season and give funds to the new one, hence the training ground sale and lack of Armstrong money to Mowbray.
  16. Mowbray deserved his deal he made a huge difference around the club and for us promoted from a league far bigger teams are still stuck in. There is no Mowbray conspiracy here, his contact is up in summer. If it’s as you suggest do you not think he would have been giving another 4 years by now?
  17. Bradley Dack likes every post Harrison Reed does. Dack liking that post doesn’t mean anything, if you really want to dig deep into it then it’s more of a “well done”, he’s not celebrating us losing. Dack one of the few players to show us any loyalty now getting hounded on social media for it. By our “fans”. Honestly who cares he liked it. The only damage done is Dack probably thinking these fans can do one.
  18. Exactly and he’s allowed his opinion on things like that. Fans on here thinking that means he has some Evil plan to kill it off etc is so ridiculous. Honestly you don’t hear this sort of stuff in real life face to face, social media brings out all sorts.
  19. What you have just said there, to me he has suggested we could use the Brentford model. Which worked for them. Saying if he had his way it wouldn’t be as it is now is twisting words isn’t it? The way the academy operates has nothing to do with him anyway, he’s just a football manager. Theres enough to dig him out on his team selections and results, the rest is just fabricated.
  20. It’s none sense like this that people rightly defend Mowbray for. I think his times up, but the things people blame him for on here are so ridiculous. He didn’t say he wanted to get rid of academy when he joined. He doesn’t decide how much players get paid. He doesn’t deliberately not buy players. All of that is none sense wrote by people who don’t go to games and just want him out. Mowbray is failing as a manager with our squad last year, he should of gone for that. This year he’s doing well with a small squad, but he 7-0 is a disaster and it’s still time for change.
  21. Mowbray’s comments the last couple weeks tell me that he knows he’s leaving at end of the season and he’s now trying to get his point across ready for his next job. Saying he wished he could of spent the Armstrong money, and dismissing fans concerns saying we could go 5th if we win. Just tells me he knows his times up now so doesn’t care if he upsets Venkys or fans and trying to clear his name. I will always be thankful to him for getting us out of league 1 and stabilising us in the championship, and it’s a shame it looks like his run will end on a sour note. But his course is run here now. Very nervous about who comes next.
  22. These days the Blackburn End is about 30 people in the top corner then try make any noise. Home games are a chore, it would take another 3 or 4 7-0 defeats in a row before any real unrest.
  23. They clearly targeted Edun from the off, and if I could credit one player tonight it would be him. That’s not to say he played well, but I believe he gave it his best shot.
