January Transfer window

Maybe so but Eustace said himself after the Bristol City game that Beck has been struggling recently and that he wanted left back cover. That's good enough for me. -

Presumably a young loan such as Danns would not need to be registered due to his age...? Though I would not be surprised if Siggy left tomorrow to free up a slot. -

Can't say I know much about Ribeiro but he's certainly got experience on his CV. Played in the league before as well and has featured in the Europa League this season for Braga. Obviously not getting many opportunities at Braga who sit 4th in the Portuguese league. IF true then this is a better standard of player on paper than expected for LB cover. -

Nah he's definitely on the wind up with that one 😂. -

Its night and day really, isn't it. I'd say that all 3 of those players that Boro have signed would walk straight into Rovers team, while 2 of the 3 we have signed (not fair to judge Kargbo yet) probably wouldn't even get on Boro's bench 😂 -

Because money talks. Latte Lath is 26 years old, they are probably never going get a bigger price than the 22 million or so that is the rumoured figure they are selling for. Not saying its right, and I'm sure a lot of Boro fans would rather keep the player they currently have, but sometimes the money on offer will trump anything else. Anyway, on Rovers, I hope to see at least 2 new players in tomorrow, ideally 3. -

And neither of them are coming to Rovers 😂 -
v QPR (a) - 4/2/2025
sharpysharps86 replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Expecting the same team as PNE with 1 change: Cantwell in for Weimann. We simply don't have the options for anything else. Kargbo VISA and registration hopefully all sorted for him to be on the bench. QPR were on a roll but have lost the last couple. 1 - 1 draw. Gueye to continue his resurgence with another goal. -

If we end up with just Danns on loan in the end and no other incomings then you have to say it's been a horrible window. To clarify: Danns is a player I'd be happy with...but we simply need more. We still definitely need LB cover given JE recently said Beck has been struggling as of late...and ideally another 2 attacking options. If Tronstad is ahead of schedule in returning then the need for another CM lessens. I can't see the Egyptian striker coming. It's too late in the day now for Rovers to be able to actually pull that off, regardless of the cost. Even if it was an affordable deal, Rovers would faff around so much that it'd miss the deadline. -
Championship 24/25

Brereton has scored for Sheff United. Didn't realise Derby were now in relegation trouble. Sounds like Warne is under pressure there now. -

No chance BTA comes to Rovers after this current run of form...unless Coventry now have to sell to cover the Grimes signing. -
Championship 24/25

Looks like we'll remain in the playoffs after this weekends round of results after WBA lost, while Boro are playing Sunderland on Monday night so that will be a tough game for them. The fact that we are in the top 6 after this awful run goes to show just how inconsistent most Championship sides are. -

Is he going out on loan? Must've missed that one. -
v Preston (h) - 31/1/2025 - k/o 20:00

Very nervy end, but I think Rovers just edged it. PNE didn't do enough in the game to genuinely deserve anything from it IMO. The desperate need for reinforcements is made even clearer when Eustace made his changes. Cantwell aside, every other sub weakened the team, so it was no real surprise that Preston came on strong at the end. Hopefully Kargbo plus a couple of others can come in and freshen things up. 2 tough away fixtures next in QPR and WBA. Really wish they hadn't moved the QPR game forward! Who was the manager / head coach we had when we last beat Preston at Ewood? Tony Mowbray? Or is it even further back? -

I think he just hates Rovers. Seems to have a problem with us every time we're on Sky and he's doing co-comms. -

Dolan and Hedges categorically lack the decision making and intelligence required. Dolan plays like a kid controlling a player on FIFA just spamming the skill moves button -

I imagine Nixon says the other two because he's published stories on the Egyptian striker and the Hibs forward, as well as regularly stating interest in O'Brien. He probably he means 2 from those 3. -

So important to get the first goal. Another one early in the 2nd half would hopefully kill the game. Gueye definitely looking like a very different (better) player now than 2 months ago. Dolan did well for the cross, up until that point he was not having a particularly good game. I hope Kargbo is better than Hedges if he's going to play on the left. Hedges works hard like they all do, but has shown no quality this season other than the dink over the keeper away at Norwich in game 2. -
