  1. Batty lost 2-1 Garrett lost 4-0 - I watched the first half, Bristol's keeper (apparently their 2nd or 3rd choice) is truly terrible
  2. Pens Leatherbarrow - scored Stritch - hit bar Montgomery - scored Tyjon - scored Litherland - scored Bell - scored Powell - hit bar Watched it on National League TV, good entertaining game, Rovers tired at the end and the raft of changes didn't help fluidity. Bloxham was especially good before he went off late on. Altrincham commentators were raving about him all game
  3. https://www.nationalleaguetv.com/live/6ff35f5f-de9f-476c-aecf-7097d8c0582b Game is free to view on National League TV if you register for free)
  4. Former Rover Joe Nuttall is up front for Altringham
  5. Garrett and Batty both start tonight Both games are live on Sky Sports + from 6:50pm
  6. Tonight's game has audio commentary according to the last line of this link https://altrinchamfc.com/blogs/news/preview-blackburn-rovers-h
  7. Markanday goal Marine highlights (Montgomery goal) Atcheson was man of the match for Marine with 2 goal line clearances Montgomery finished 2nd in man of the match voting (over 60% of the vote between the 2 of them)
  8. It would appear that Birmingham fans may have selective memories "James, 18, has earned a full international cap for Wales and played 31 times in the league with Hall, 18, making 30 Championship appearances. Bellingham, 17 - the young brother of England's former Blues man Jude - has played on 20 occasions." That story is from the end of his first season at Birmingham. He also had Tahith Chong in the side at that time. They then had a change of ownership, sold Chong & Jobe Bellingham, and got a windfall from Jude Bellingham's transfer to Real Madrid Even then he brought in (and played) younger players like Stansfield, Laird, Buchanan, Sanderson and Drameh
  9. yep https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Andrews_(footballer)
  10. Kristi Montgomery has scored his first senior goal to put Marine 1-0 up at half time
  11. Starting this afternoon Markanday scored the equaliser in a 2-2 draw Gamble won 5-2 Atcheson & Montgomery Montgomery scored the only goal in a 1-0 win. Atcheson was named man of the match On the bench O'Riordan lost 1-0 Wood won 1-0 Shaw came off the bench late in a 2-1 win Not involved in squad Garrett won 3-1 Batty (came off injured in midweek game) won 2-1 Eastham (serving a suspension I think) won 5-2 Cypriot teams (Saadi) kick off this evening Saadi on the bench Edit they lost 5-2
  12. U18s lost 2-1 to West Brom. Joseph with a consolation goal in injury time
  13. U18s are away to West Brom today at noon . Looks like it may be available to stream on West Broms site https://www.wba.co.uk/fixture/view/59997
  14. On the injury front, Alex Baker, Isaac Whitehall, George Pratt and Zak Gilsenan remain sidelined with issues, although the latter is getting closer to a long-awaited return. From that, I would guess Gilsenan is possibly due back in full training over the international break, the others, no idea
  15. Dundalk played last night, Goddard was not included in the squad (no idea why not) Dundalk have put out this statement about finances, so it may be linked in some way
  16. Bell having a good game
  17. Its live on YouTube for anyone who isn't there
  18. If I am not misreading things, it looks to me that from now on, if a club terminates a contract of a player, they cannot then try to ask for compensation (a transfer fee) if/when the player in question finds a new club. Which seems logical. If the above is correct then the issue is if a player fancies getting a move, he could potentially try to get himself sacked (not turning up to training/games, or doing a Duffy etc) so he can move on a free and pocket some or all of the the "dodged transfer fee" as a signing on bonus. It may also impact transfer window rules for players who have their contracts terminated whilst a window is closed (due to freedom of movement issues)
  19. Saadi started last night in a 3-1 win
  20. Starts tonight for Batty withdrawn with an injury whilst 1-0 up, they went on to lose 2-1 On the bench Garrett off the bench bench for the last 20 mins, won 3-2 O'Riordan lost 1-0 Not in squad Markanday apparently rested along with numerous others following a 3-0 win at the weekend, drew 2-2
  21. Pickering and Batth were both unavailable for that game, which forced Eustace's hand, as Carter could not slide over to right back with Batth taking his place in the middle of defence
