  1. Correct. It's a goal contribution every 125 minutes which is some way ahead of the next best Brereton with one every 165 minutes. Best in the division is Benson with one for every 80 minutes or so. It's a very good stat for Dolan especially for a player who is still only 20 years old (and who doesn't seem to throw a tantrum if he's not in the starting line up or squad).
  2. Brilliant , . Next week's lottery numbers please.
  3. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour by the Norwich fans- and symptomatic of the entitlement demonstrated by too many fans in the modern era. They are 5th in the table, and have a manager who has already achieved one promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs. They should stick with Dean Smith and not listen to the clowns baying from the stands or behind their keyboards.
  4. Which is why judgements on managers should be made on their overall records, not one or two games.
  5. Superb result. Just underlines what a good manager JDT is that he is able to pick our players up after 2 disappointing results with a team selection that nobody anticipated - and get a win.
  6. Absolutely - the alternative is anarchy.
  7. Managers manage the team and the players , not agents - end of.
  8. Not sure how long you have been following us but in the 1991-92 season we lost 6 successive games with Kenny Dalglish as manager . The club kept faith and the rest is history. The lesson is that there are bad days, and bad runs, and managers should be judged on their overall record. Dismissing someone as a "dolloper" on the basis of 2 games is ridiculous.
  9. What play by Messi !
  10. The so called cult exists because anybody with knowledge of the game can recognise that he is one of the greatest players of all time.
  11. What possible motive could they have for that ?
  12. Based on the above there seem now to be several different types of supporter : "Mowbrayites" who want JDT out "Mowbrayites" who don't want JDT out "Anti-Mowbrayites" who want JDT out "Anti-Mowbrayites" who don't want JDT out A few others who are none too sure Perhaps we will all have to declare what we are.
  13. It's about the manager being allowed to manage - if the players had any achievements to their name perhaps some importance could be attributed to their opinion- but they have none and the manager does.
  14. Tomasson's record in the game, both as manager and player, commands respect - a great deal more than any of the players who may, or may not, be resisting his requirements. At any normal club, I suspect the chairman looks at the players and then the manager - and decides who commands the greater respect. I know where I stand. What about you ?
  15. Like the prayer says - grant me powers equal to my tasks not tasks equal to my powers.
  16. Clubs fail when cabals in the dressing room decide what happen. Manchester United backed Ferguson in sorting out what he inherited and got their reward.
  17. Let's be winners - I was. Champions League winner, record goalscorer for my country, playing top flight football across Europe, playing in 2 world cups, winning 2 titles as a manager - match that . No, go along with those whose collective achievements are like 1% of that. That way disaster lies.
  18. And still demanded the highest of standards - which is what winners do.
  19. Well, he won the Champions League in 2003 - never mind.
  20. Cabals in dressing rooms need to be rooted out - even clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United found that out.
  21. JDT has achieved more in the game than all the members of the dressing room added together so I think you've got it the wrong way round.
  22. Whoscored.com give Wharton a season's rating of 6.65 and Morton a rating of 6.64 so they rate them almost exactly the same.
