  1. I agree, the silver line of that period of time where the club couldn't get a sponsor sorted in time, was that we could buy a shirt without the sponsor on it at the start of the season.
  2. Yeah that’s what I was going to say. I think there is a good chance the sponsor will be like that as I think the sponsor last season had to be the way it was to cover the up the recoverite logo.
  3. I’m used to the totally wicked sponsor now. I think it won’t be as bad as last year as it needed to be that big to cover up the previous sponsor. Hopefully it’s more akin to that on the training kit and isn’t as dominant with the big licence plate size block on the front.
  4. I go to the home games but as I have other life commitments I only tend to go to one away game a season. This seasons away game for me was Reading which I did actually really enjoy despite the game being awful to watch.
  5. Is it worth someone making a new 22/23 thread for this topic?
  6. Hope Macron are quick to design and make the new shirts for the 22/23 season. Would make a huge change.
  7. I agree that teams need favors from other teams somewhere or another. Those favors are useless if you don't do yourself a favor and capitalize on them. Rovers have been failing to pick up wins when favors have been handed to us. So all in all my take is, teams do half of the favor. The other half of it from yourself.
  8. I remember going to an Accrington Stanley cup game against Bournemouth that Accrington won while in the conference, and Bournemouth were in league 1. For sure would have been unthinkable back then.
  9. Anyone know when Dack is expected back? Not much of a like for like but he does have some amount of ball carrying ability.
  10. From what I’ve gathered since speaking to people I know about the new shirt sponsor, the ones that are complaining about us promoting vaping have never expressed a problem with vaping before (and having the sponsor on the training gear or stadium). When I’ve called them out on falling victim to their own cognitive dissonance, when in reality they think the sponsor looks hideous and the sponsor name sound ridiculous, they have been stumped. In short they don’t like the look or the name and they don’t see it as a good enough reason to be outraged so they decide to be offended about vaping companies when they couldn’t care less.
  11. I disliked it from the very first time I heard it. It's just become a really annoying, over rated, and over played song like Mr.Brightside.
  12. Sorry to sound like a 'Negative Nancy' but I've always hated that song.
  13. I feel like this comment will have resonated with a lot of Rovers fans. Well said buddy!
  14. This happens with a few clubs. Preston and Bolton to name a couple. They treat their games against Rovers like a cup final and to Rovers fans they are just another English team. Our rival is Burnley, end of. They need to realize that and end their obsession with us.
  15. Not Likely for Cardiff to be in trouble this season. Derby already have their 21 points deduction and Reading are very likely to have 12 points deducted too. Leek eaters are lucky. They have had an awful season so far but may survive anyway due to two other teams having deductions.
  16. I was at the Wembley on Friday. Noticed an England flag with a Rovers logo on it hung up near a corner flag (The one to the right Pickford in the first half). Anyone on here responsible for it? Made a nice change to not see a Dingle one to be honest.
  17. Swearing doesn't bother me. It's just a word. It's the intent that bothers me. You can say something just as hurtful to someone with a non swear word if the intent is aggressive.
  18. Didn't Lomana LuaLua injure himself doing a flip celebration for Portsmouth? I like to see the athleticism but yeah it isn't worth it if it means it could lead to an injury.
  19. I remember seeing Alex Scott saying “Low Block” while doing punditry and Graham Souness challenged her on it. In the end, after it was explained he said “ahh right, defending deep then…”
  20. Is Tony Parks in Pendle Brook care home on ossy? Could have sworn it was him the last time I looked up at the window.
  21. I can relate. I was a large before covid. Need to have XL so the footy tops don’t shape round my belly and moobs.
  22. Yeah fair enough I understand those points. When I think about it like that I wonder why I pay the money but when it gets released I just think “I want it!” And pay for it regardless. Victim of the marketing campaign I guess. Thanks for your response.
