I can't remember the year but the Chelsea fans who went into the Blackburn End were sat in the Nuttall st. Stand ( towards the bbe). Ten minutes or so before the end of the game they left and went in through the open gates to the Blackburn End. Simon Garners sister was injured iirc.

Having our back garden looking on to Rossies pitch I have great memories being brought up there mid 60s till 77. Only players I can remember from those days we're Glyn Barker, Billy Greenan (rip), Johnny Pearson and the goalkeeper Woods. Oh! And a player they got from Airdrie called Tommy Veitch or similar. Great days at Dark Lane in those days especially when the drew Shrewsbury Town at home in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

81/82 season for me on the Riverside terrace. Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday league Cup tie first leg I think. My overriding memory of the game was Noel Brotherton missing a penalty that almost cleared the Blackburn End!

I'm struggling to see what system we are trying to play with this new guy. It's his 7th game in charge and to me every game is played the same way. No idea. -

How many Rovers fans turned up last night? On TV the home ends had tumbleweed blowing through them and I reckon there was less than 7000 blues there. The official attendance was over 15000 with 3200 odd Boro fans visiting.were most rovers fans watching TV on the concourse or what? There were nowhere near 15k on last night. Far from it. Sign of the times and folks are voting with their feet. Good on them. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Aqualung replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Seems to me that any no mark nobody, not successful and playing the fucking game can get a managerial job at Rovers these days. Do those who do the interviews actually ask for a CV? A French fucking frog who knows nowt about football in England as is proved by his previous appointments. Is he even from France? -

Oh no! They will build our hopes up as usual. We will get into the top six and when it gets to Xmas.... The injuries will come and the deliberate down turn in form will happen. Same every bloody season. -

Sweden mate. I've been able to watch the game via nefarious means. I just don't get why it's not mentioned on the website regarding overseas territories. Also, on Thursday, a tenner match day pass was available to everyone outside the UK. Weird. -

For me there was no option to buy a £10 match day pass however there was an option to buy a monthly pass at £25 which I purchased. Went to the match centre but couldn't watch as it wasn't available in my country. Unless I missed something there was no mention of this. -

Anyone had problems with Rovers TV? -
I hate slating our own players. Good games, bad games and all that but how many fucking chances does Pears get? Enough is enough really.
-
Jesus! I didn't expect that type of performance. The lot of them were total pants. Typical rovers.
-
Im with you there. If the likes of Hedges and ACD start I'll be disappointed ( unless one of them score) but I'm sure they won't get anywhere near 90 mins.
-
Nothing to fear here other than ourselves. We've not lost at Leeds, Burnley, WBA and Boro (Cup). COYB!
-
That's definitely true. I was there and was next in line. Bugger!
-
Bit harsh that mate. I thought he did OK v Wolves where we thought we were going to capitulate in midfield. Not the best but not the worst.

Good post. I've listened to Jordan.... And he summises a lot. The only thing I agree with him on is the need to be nearer family shite. For a pro manager that's a child's excuse. He knew the score when he took the job and it's not like he lived in another country which many managers have to endure. Piss weak for a pro. -
v WBA (a) - 12/2/2025
Aqualung replied to TheRevAshton's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It's a tough ask for a win but you never know. If we go back to type at the back and WBA go back to when they couldn't win a game to save their lives we have a chance of nicking one.
