  1. England u19 & u20 at forest and with us? It's only this season he has shown glimpses and he was already doing that at forest. TM basically benched him for the 1st season and now he's back where he was, not exactly progress in my eyes. Travis looked a really good prospect, busy got about the pitch, protected the flanks and now he looks less, much less. I don't perceive just playing in the championship means progress, I want to see his ability improve and neither really have in my eyes.
  2. I reckon TM told Brereton to say that to the local rag or he wouldn't put his name in this weeks tombola draw.
  3. Trouble is quite a few of our players seem to have regressed. Travis, is another who is not what he was when he 1st came in, Brereton another (looked better at forest). I'd like to see a clean sweep of the 1st team management & coaches. You cannot expect players to develop themselves, it's like giving a kid a pen and paper (nothing more) and saying teach yourself better English.
  4. I reckon it's waggot doing all the social media postings, he must do something whilst in his office.
  5. Any drop in sales will just be attributed to Covid. If I was the coventrio I would use that to push my idea (ie flog everything) through with venkys. We need the money Madame. Lest we forget India is Covid central and it would also play on their situation.
  6. Invest in a pitch? Perhaps if Mogga didn't train on it, it would be fine. I think whatever funds we can generate should be spent on redecorating our senior management teams flats, we could call it a charitable donation ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. That's a cracker of an idea mate, we should sell off Brockhall and build some nice cheap sheds, sorry houses. We could make millions, rigger you should be our CEO! ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ‘
  8. He's a full back all day, pfft Gally is our best right winger. I also reckon Pickering will make an awesome CB. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. I have always felt that when you play with attacking full backs, your central players must over some cover. Our CBS and DCMs are all slow, do not protect the flanks and cover the full back, when they are caught up field. Travis showed signs of doing this, prior to his injury but Evans, Johnson etc do not, they stay central, always. Ayala if ever fit wouldn't come wide, he's slower than my gran, but if he did would the DCMs drop into central defence, I know they would not. TM wants flying wingers but also wants them to fly back and defend, it's a lot to ask of one man.
  10. TM doesn't play possession based football though, it is keep ball football. We never penetrant, the movement up top is awful, lack of fluidity and interchange amongst players and so on. We play in our half only, its the kind of football you see in amateur matches. We only have high possession stats for that reason.
  11. PSG are no different, nor really are Madrid, such is the beast these days.
  12. I was just trying to be funny based on the spelling mistake, no offence intended. ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Lucky sod, I guess I'll be doing some polishing ๐Ÿ˜‚
  14. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I hope City win it as I have enjoyed watching their rise above United and winning the Champions League will cement that position.
  15. I'd like him to stay, if we have an option I'd enforce it.
  16. Paying? Is it some 25m compo, WOW. But I would like to try his footbotron machine that sounds cool. Well done to Chelsea, Tuchel is doing very well for them, which is good to see. I'm hoping for a city Chelsea final as I don't want PSG or Madrid to lift the trophy. Especially not PSG.
  17. Nyambe speaks I thought this interview was inspiring, so insightful and highlights points that I am sure none of us ever would. Rothwell as a No. 10, well I never.
  18. He's an adult child, always spat his dummy out whenever questioned. I believe he is on the wind up as he is the sort of person who would do that kind of immature thing. He should be reporting on caber tossing haha.
  19. I have to ask but is your first name grogu?
  20. Speed of thought and mind will out pace a quick player everytime. Tugay springs instantly to mind as well as the best player I have ever seen, the French Tim Sherwood, Zinedine Zidane.
  21. I agree on Wharton, I think he could have what it takes to be a championship standard player, achilles injuries can be troublesome so we will see hos it has affected him, when he returns. Yes it is an assumption but they have sunk 200m into us, I would hope that they would not just right that off for the sake of a couple of million more. They are unpredictable, make bizarre decisions so you never know what they will do. I guess time will tell and let's hope they don't just write it off and let us plummet.
  22. Thanks for the link, it was an interesting read. Whilst I think it is good that steps have been taken, the reality is that England teams meet very infrequently and only encompass a very small number of players. For me a better focus is needed on developing the right 'traits' in young players across the board. For example hardwork or applying ones self is a fundamental part of success in any arena and this is what I meant. Clubs/coaches etc do not develop these key personality traits to ensure kids potential is realised and fulfilled. Dealing with failure, negativity and so on are crucial considerations in sport, but do not seem to be developed at a younger age. Physically most young players are weak and yet puberty is the best period in life to develop physical traits, but again we do not seem to do this. It's all about habit formation, trait creation and empowering the kids with the skills they need to succeed. It needs work for me as at national level we clearly have talent but always fall short.
