  1. This is absolutely farcical by all involved. It should not be allowed to go on this long but if there's a sniff Rovers can sue for damages and there probably is, I'd go at them guns blazing.
  2. A good few things need to happen at this club, one is a long overdue proper investment in the pitch without cutting any corners and another is to sack Steve Waggott.
  3. Not making excuses for the club at all but you could throw into the mix that any player unsure about who they want to play for on the morning of deadline day is partly to blame if a deal doesn't go through on time, particularly when that club has been interested for weeks. Why are you hanging around waiting on one club that's under a transfer embargo! Deadline Day signings are always better if they're a surprise extra, not absolutely necessary to recover your window. Long story short, we left it too late as usual and got royally found out but it's also uncovered some major problems. Like Broughton said the club will have learned a lot, or you'd at least like to think so for once! Either way someone has to lose their job over this and I'd rather it's not Broughton. That's your cue Steve W and take whoever didn't file it on time with you.
  4. If the business isn't functioning correctly (and we can't pretend that it is) who's responsibility is that? It's certainly someone's at the top. I do not think this is on Broughton at all but good to see him step up, communicate and clearly take all of the flak publicly for what is likely someone else's error. Fair play to him. It's being owned as a major f*ck up by the club and will take some recovering internally, and with the fans. I like Broughton... he's clearly an intelligent guy and the kind of person we must have around the place for the future. He's bound to have inherited some incompetent colleagues and change is needed. JDT and Broughton coming in didn't quite feel like enough at the time and it has proved to be the case. The senior management team needs fixing, personnel (and processes) but Broughton seems to me like one of the best we've had in years. We must get rid of the dinosaurs around him.
  5. Walk out/ walk in protests, wearing t shirts etc is a waste of time. Everton got noticed, banners in the ground and make yourself heard. "Waggot out!" and "sack the board!" We need it in writing inside the ground for everyone around the club and the SKY/ ITV cameras to see for the remainder of the season. They need to read and hear exactly what we think of their performance and prices. Do we trust this man handling the sale of Brockhall for housing and building a "state of the art" training facility that will take the club forward? That is what he will be heading up next. I'm happy to chip in and help a protest against this board. A bring back John Williams banner might hit home.
  6. It's different because deadline day is so well reported that for the first time every single Rovers fan received a minute-by-minute insight into the incompetency still at Ewood. We felt every minute. There was absolutely no hiding from it, no matter how many times they had to rehash the club statement. Deadline Day was almost a timelapse of the past 13 years, slight hope ruined by the realisation that your club is riddled with incompetence. This all stems from terrible ownership and the result this season couldn't be any clearer, the senior management team has derailed any promotion bid, hiked season ticket prices and lowered attendances. It's that simple. If the people involved in this aren't fired there's not a chance I'll renew my seats next year.
  7. Not having it. Again get rid of the chumps involved immediately... Every matchday is a chance for supporters to turn up and try to fix this club. This board has to go!
  8. Sack all 3! Get rid of the lot
  9. They can have my seats back at the end of this season that's for sure.
  10. We're a fckin joke of a club, top to bottom.
  11. As expected! Time to protest against this board.
  12. Venky's should put that chart on their wall. Some achievement losing so many thousands of fans!
  13. Venky’s won’t know a thing or when the next game is, or care.
  14. Yet half the fans won't have it and think we need this setup. We are a club that should be protesting against it's board and owners but the reality is we do absolutely nothing.
  15. Some fans will defend the club at all costs but going about your business this way (the way they have throughout January) will never take the club forward. I'm hugely disappointed by Broughton and co, and have lost all faith, regardless of whether O'Brien comes in or not and I'm pretty sure Tomasson will have too. JDT will be done here shortly.
  16. Maybe Universal Studios are still working on the announcement video
  17. O'Brien would be a big improvement if it goes through but on the whole a fairly bizarre transfer window, certainly not one of a team that's planning to win a playoff final or get there.
  18. The unrealistic names are a concern and point towards no one coming in for me. I think we might even hear of a last minute bid for Akpom but Boro "weren't interested in selling" 😂
  19. Anyone saying things like "I'm fine with Tomasson walking" are missing the entire point. I'm not sold on him yet either as a manager but a manager with ambition feeling he has no choice but to leave the club is a disaster.
  20. Where do I even start. Long story short, if this continues JDT will be walking and you'll be applauding no one.
  21. Interesting that one of the most underwhelming and unimaginative transfer windows is occurring under the new setup. It's hugely disappointing given our hopes and strong league position again. The squad needed strengthening in both full back positions, two new centre midfielders bringing in and an attacker or two as a bonus. I expected extra numbers now partly to make up for the short window the new team had in summer and mentioned so often. As a season ticket holder the lack of strategy behind the scenes and their ability to get results time after time does make me wonder why I bother. Let's get it straight we've supposedly missed out on a goalkeeper and a centre back, two positions that wouldn't have been a priority for you this window if you were watching the games. Having to get everything done on deadline day, or even in the final week it's bad planning and execution right the way through and the people in charge must be made accountable when the times right, the problem is that doesn't happen at Rovers. Waggott and now sadly Broughton... These guys can seemingly talk the talk and that's about it. Every window is important and about building for the future, so far they are not delivering and if it continues I wouldn't be surprised to see Tomasson walk. 1 6 month loan isn't good enough. Lets not pretend they've done well, the forecasting in the summer had us set to be short, we were, the forecasting now has us set to be left short come February. We probably will be. It can't happen again next summer. If it does they've got to go!
  22. Yet we still can't attract him!
  23. So little patience on here like back in the summer! Calm down everyone, the club are working hard behind the scenes, we just have no control over our own transfer windows any more -they are in the hands of the Premier League clubs. Unless another team goes into financial difficulty, in that case we could pick someone up earlier than expected this week but again that would depend on the other clubs. Either way Pear's future and a new goalkeeper will all get resolved on deadline day and the worst case scenario there is that Pear's stays, I'd be happy with that; he's been in great spirits on the bench this year and integral in some of the warm ups. You have to understand that we simply don't have the revenue to compete, so I've decided to increase season ticket prices again for next year! See you all down at Ewood.
  24. If we had decent owners my message to them would be sack the CEO immediately, bring in a team that can work together with the fans, restore some pride and with that generate some revenue for this football club.
