Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach

Interesting article here about Notlob. Since taking over, their owners/investors have invested 10m per annum.....at a League 1 club getting 20k+ gates. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/25606467.bolton-wanderers-chairman-reveals-60m-investment-club/ -

Reading that there was non-flushing toilets in the BBE upper comes as no surprise. My daughter reckons that it was the same in one of the ladies toilets in the JWU for the majority of last season. The place is going to wrack and ruin, but they simply don't care. -

If he was so bent on 'academy boys' getting a go, he had the perfect opportunity yesterday instead of playing a winger at centre half. -

One thing is for sure, if Ismael continues to put sides out like we did yesterday, then we'll lose far more than we win. -

Big challenge ahead tomorrow. With the spine of our side out suspended/injured, we'll do well do get anything out of the game I think. -
150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

I'd lost track of the fact that the 150 game is this weekend coming, such is the dearth of info coming from the club and my indifference to it all these days. Even on the club's own web site, there's little mention. It should be headline news, plastered all over the show. What a damp squib it will be. It really is poor, a disgrace, but not expected I suppose. They really are a bunch of charlatans. -

'Price won't be a factor' ... in one of the most deprived regions of the entire country. What a ridiculous thing to say. -

The biggest problem is the quality of player we have, who individually and collectively aren't of a sufficient standard. Yesterday as an example, there was no lack of effort, and the organisation was fine. The game was lost simply because we're not good enough. Bar the winter transfer window, which we all know will likely be another disaster, there is no scope to change the players for the better, meaning that realistically the only thing we can change is the manager. Poor manager that he is, I'm not sure that a change, though, will have much of an impact. Silk purse and all that... I think that we're knackered already. -

Eventually something will give and they'll leave. But I fear that will still be a long time coming, at which point there'll hardly be anything left. -

A win tonight is crucial. Lose, then I fear the same for Saturday ahead of further tough games, and a downward spiral will ensue. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Perhaps this is their strategy. Ban all the journos, then have a ready made excuse to ditch the press conferences altogether. -

We're 1-0 down on the last game of the season, we need a goal to stave off relegation. The game gets cancelled with 15 minutes to go because of freak weather. After a hearing, the EFL decide to award the opposition the 3 points. We are relegated. So we just sit there and say nothing? -

The way that I look at this, is what would we think if it was roles reversed? ie it was us who we were down to 10 men, with 15+ minutes to go, but only a goal behind. We'd be screaming blue murder for a full reply. -

I've watched both Espanyol games so far, tonight's game was entertaining. Dolan has done well so far on the right wing. His crossing has noticeably improved.

'Saxton Out' chants by a hundred or so on Nuttall St was as volatile as I can remember.
