  1. I stopped going for a couple of seasons around the time of K*an. My thinking was that I'd pick and choose a few games, but I gradually got out of the habit and stopped going completely. Then when my daughter showed an interest, I was back on it and realised what I'd been missing. I'm dithering for next season cos of the all the recent shenanigans, but will likely renew ours. The way I look at it now, is that it's our club, not theirs, and why should they again stop me doing something which I've done for most of my life.
  2. A non-Rovers mate of mine from Rawtenstall has taken his lad onto Ewood a couple of times just to watch a game. The club have his details, as is required for on-line purchases. You'd think he would be a perfect prospective supporter to contact and encourage to come back. Have they ever proactively contacted him? Have they heck.
  3. Of course, with our modern DOF structure of 3 expert footballing people and our well communicated short, medium, and long term plans firmly in place, all backed up with a solid investment strategy from the owners, the summer window will once again be nothing short of a major success.
  4. It doesn't. It's called 'make it up as you go along'.
  5. They've already succeeded on that front...
  6. Ok. I'll ask again, but slightly differently. So hypotheticaly, if Rovers - Gestede/Waggot/Pasha - sign players in the upcoming summer transfer window, in your opinion, would that automatically make those players good enough to play for a Championship club? As a reminder, this is what you said earlier.... 'if these crap players then they wouldn't be playing professional football at such a high level of football'
  7. So just because Gestede signed then, that automatically makes them good enough to play for a Championship club?
  8. And what happens when you don't employ the right DOF? Or they themselves decide to walk?
  9. I must have missed Jack explaining to us why he had the audacity to sign Kenny....
  10. 'We're on track to hit our targets...' will be the most that they'll admit to.
  11. So if they appointed say Pep as our next manager, sorry head coach, you'd want them to go online and explain to us and justify why they did so?
  12. All to play for in the second leg next week. After the red card, I thought Rangers would struggle, so fair play to them. I've seen Bilbao a few times this season and they're a good side.
  13. I didn't say that they did. But given the choice between the 3 stooges picking players, or say Mowbray alone picking players, I know which one I'd rather have.
  14. Transfer decisions made by an incompetent committee. Or transfer decisions made solely by a competent manager. I know which one I'd prefer.
  15. Moved on from what exactly? You might do, but I'd argue that 99% of supporters don't give a toss about the nitty gritty behind the scenes.
  16. As Matty suggests, if the club was run competently, we wouldn't need to hear from them aside from postive news like player signings. Like it used to be back in the day.
  17. Complaining that the club should have 'communicated properly' with fans during the Eustace debacle is moot. Under a competent board, the situation wouldn't have arisen in the first place.
  18. My point being, that rather making use of the players he's got and adopting a playing style to suit, instead he's banging on about transforming the squad in the summer to suit some other style which he wants.
  19. IIRC Blackpool dropped down to 3 or 4 thousand. If the same happended here, I reckon we'd go down to 6 or 7. Particularly the older generation will attend no matter what. A chap who sits behind said to me last night 'I've been going since since 1959. It's a bit late to stop now'.
  20. There's still plenty of Venky apologists out there. I put one in his place last night when I could bear his 'Who else would put in 20 million a year?' guff no longer
  21. @glen9mullan As a suggestion, perhaps this could be turned into some 'marketing material' for the protest movement? There's lots of to-the-point straplines in here.
  22. It beggars belief. These people supposedly run a multi-million turnover business.
  23. Hats off to that chap. He well and truly nailed it.
