IMO it doesn't matter who the manager is; the place is set up to fail and we'll at best tread water. We can only hope that whoever is in the manager's seat has enough about them to keep us afloat. We're one bad manager away from oblivion.

The irony is that if a number of supporters brought 'Venkys Out' placards into the ground and waved them aloft, they'd undoubtedly get hounded out with 'Get behind the team FFS' nonsense.

Realistically, the best that I expect these days is that we don't get relegated, in the vain hope that The Idiots will one day disappear and that better days will come.

The writing has been on the wall for a while since our early season form started to dissipate. Eustace saw what was coming and jumped ship as soon as he could. We can only hope that this new guy has enough about him to keep the ship afloat. Next season will be a massive challenge for him.

It's fine though, us supporters were all told months ago what was going to happen, so there's nothing to moan about. Chaddy says so.

Perhaps they're UK tax payers and are taking advantage of tax relief on pension contributions.

No one is saying that we should have got £70 million for him. Rather, the point being made is that we should have got a heck of a lot more than the measly sum that we did get.

It wouldn't surprise me if the big jump in salary/pension was a 'golden handcuffs' type of arrangement before he heads off into the sunset. Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking.

So basically they'll just keep the lights on through continual cost cutting and player sales. Great.

No prospective manager of calibre - other than a desperado or through naivety - would accept the job knowing that the reasons behind the previous 2 managers leaving are still there, if not more so.

A good chunk of the supposed 100+ applicants will be from the man on the street, probably piss takers from B*rnley.

Nothing epitomises their can't-be-arsed, amatuerish, penny-pinching, lack-of-respect attitude more than the state of Jack's stadium. It's a disgrace and so are they.

Speaking to a Wolves fan at work, he wasn't impressed with O'Neill at all. Lives in Kent and only stayed for training 3 days a week.

As when Eustace was appointed, I suspect that Waggot is hoping that a replacement is in situ before Saturday to quell any discontent in the stands. A negative result tonight, no sign of a replacement manager, and a tough game against a cockahoop Plymouth (who needs the FA Cup eh?) could make Saturday interesting.

Good luck to the guy, I say He deserves better than having to deal with the idiots who suposedly run our club. Thank goodness that we have as many points as we do, so we shouldn't get a repeat of the last end-of-season shenanigans. When you consider the abject state of our squad, he's worked a miracle. Next season though....

At the beginning of last season, full of misplaced optimism, I said to myself that hopefully that would be the last season of having to endure the likes of Hedges and Dolan. 18 months on, and the alternative now will, in all likelihood, be even worse. Running down contracts, managed decline, end of career journeymen, short term 'permanent' signings, and loans from lower leagues. I'm resigned to it all. This is our Venky induced lot.
