  1. Well if we played them in a fully competitive game, they'd muller us
  2. Girona are a very good side, easy on the eye and didn't really get of second gear if we're honest; at least a couple of levels above us. Their style is exactly what we should aspire to based on how JDT wants us to play. They'e the 10th best side in the best league in one of the top 3 or 4 footballing countries in Europe, after all. A good work out for us though, but unless we add depth and quality, we're going to struggle over the course of a season
  3. @Herbie6590 Splendid meeting you today and congratulations to you and the guys - @4000Holes et al - for putting on a good event 👍
  4. In spite of all the off field shenanigans, there's not many better things in life than being at Ewood. I'm once again looking forward to getting down there this afternoon to watch the Blues. Well done to all those who have helped to put this day in place. Let's hope for a great afternoon.
  5. Girona were in La Liga last season and are pretty decent. They will give us a good game.
  6. Dolan and Hedges were bloody awful tonight. Between those two and Gally, we'll not score in a month of Sundays. Need some firepower and creativity pronto, otherwise we're going to struggle.
  7. I was hoping to see the new guys at Fleetwood on Friday. Is there any news on their injuries/availability?
  8. I thought Batty looked iffy at Accrington, probably down to nerves though I guess.
  9. I'll bite. In your hypothetical scenario, if the 'rest of the outfit' was 'equal to the rest of the Championship' then, by definition, we'd at least be on par with the best teams in the league. Ergo, we'd likely be a top 2 team. Obviously, that's nonsense.
  10. 8,100 versus 9,300 from last season. The latter figure includes half-season tickets and 18 game tickets, according to the LT. I've no idea how many of these we sold, but I imagine we're going to have to still shift a good number of full ST's to match last season.
  11. Yes it was. Although, it's one thing doing it in a pre-season kickabout against trialists vying for a gig at League 1 Accrington. It's another thing completely doing it at Championship level. We saw what they're made of in the run in last season. Let's see if they can improve this season.
  12. That's my opinion. We don't get the ball into the final third anywhere near quick enough, let alone create enough chances to score from. Plenty of justfiable talk on here of needing more fire power, but that's only any good if you get the ball to them sharply.
  13. I'd be playing Barnes in his normal position. It's a big season for him and we need to see if he can cut it as a CB.
  14. I went in the home end last time. no problems at all. Bought the tickets through the Accy website.
  15. Being realistic, going off the prices Waggott charges, 9k is a decent effort. But that's not the point. We've only got to look at Preston and Bolton, two clubs of historically similar size and stature, who through attractive pricing policies, are putting our numbers to shame.
  16. Overpriced + none existant marketing = (maybe) 9k in sales Well done Swag. Just go.
  17. What's the run rate, around 120/week or so? Wow....we could hit the dizzy heights of 9,000 by season start 🙌
  18. Aye OK, I'll jack in my FTSE100 job cos you think the company policy is wrong...
  19. Of course everyone is entitled to leave, but there is such a thing as giving notice. For example, if I want a week off, I'm expected to give 4 week's notice.
  20. The point being that even the dizzy heights of 9.500 - should we get there - is woefully embarassing considering what is happening elsewhere.
