  1. Out of interest, who do you think is currently dictating/defining the 'philosophy' and 'ethos' at BRFC?
  2. Don't tell Chaddy whatever you do! An ex-Dingle in the blue & white halves? He'd never recover!
  3. There's no logical, strategic thinking behind any of their decisions. It's all for the here and now and doing the bare minimum. Any challenge is met with risible excuse making. Jokers.
  4. John Kettley is a weatherman, and so is chaddyrovers 😆
  5. We literally need to sell to survive, so any transfer business will be in the opposite direction. More likely to be a fire sale than any squad strengthening.
  6. We were comfortably beaten by a good side yesterday; I've no problem with that, it's to be expected considering the relative budgets of the two clubs. They were so much more physical; so much quicker; so much more technical ability; they had a game plan, and they have a savvy, albeit dislikeable, manager. They'll go up as champions in my view. What we're seeing now is the culmination of years of non investment and downgrading. Coupled with a safety first manager, who admittedly doesn't have much choice, and it's clear where we're heading. Eustace needs to rediscover a way of nicking a win here and there, otherwise it won;t be long before we're looking over our shoulders again. If we fall too far down the table, I don't think we'd have the ability to get out of it. We've turned from what was a few games ago, a hard tream to beat, into one starting to let in soft goals who can't score for toffee.
  7. Who would you rather have there? Someone who can 'press', or someone who can create and put the ball in the chuffin' net?
  8. Here we go again. 'Nicko says this, Nicko says that'.
  9. Using 'lack of crosses' as a means to excuse his lack of goals, is exactly that; it's excuse making. Yes, he's feeding off scraps, but he needs to counter that with making far more effort. He doesn't put himself about anywhere near enough; that's the top and bottom of it for me.
  10. It's closed on Monday presumably because of lack of footfall. The lack of footfall is presumably because the retail offering is lacking. The retail offering is lacking is because <fill in the blank>...
  11. Barca / Athletico La Liga fixture to be played in Miami. Next stop Premier League? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c98y89dwrxro
  12. Law of averages...we're due to not win at home. 1-2
  13. I'd argue that it's little to do with 'work commitments' etc; rather, it's fundamentally down to price. Bolton and PNE - with similar demographics - show that this is the case.
  14. I'm pretty sure that every single Rovers supporter would be happy with 15 points from 9 games. But to simply dismiss concerns over recent performances as 'criticising for the sake of it', is blinkered. Those 9 games are history.
  15. I don't think it's in him to keep it simple. This might sound trivial, but I think sums him up. He played well against QPR, no question. During the second half of that game though, he had a simple 10 yard straight pass to make across the middle as we were attacking. Rather than simply moving the ball along with his instep, instead he attempted the pass with his outstep, trying to look clever. The result was that the ball ended up a yard behind where it should have been, and momentum was lost.
  16. I agree, perspective is needed. Suggesting that Eustace should be given a new deal on the back of our early season start, seems at odds with that to me, though. The sensible thing to do would be to at least see how this season pans out.
  17. Rooney has won 3 home league games on the run. Just one more, then presumably Plymouth should be offering him a new deal?
  18. Pace generally costs money. Which we can't/won't/don't spend.
  19. I didn't see the game yesterday, but I concur with your player assessments from what I've seen in games thus far. We're relying on too many average - or worse - players to ever be a team that as a whole is more than average, certainly not a consistent one. I think, though, that the recent changes to the back four have messed us up. We've regressed defensively from a team that was looking hard to beat. Eustace needs to get that solidity back as priority, or things could get sticky and we could tailspin. I'm not too despondent yet though, as I think he will.
  20. You don't think we could upgrade on them?
  21. The back 4 will - or should - most certainly change at the least.
  22. Just compare that match programme to the pathetic digital download effort we now get...
  23. A hard one to call is this and a real test for Eustace after the last two terrible away performances. Will be bounce back against one of the weaker sides, or are things starting to level out after our good start? I'm going for 1-1.
  24. All of them are 1 in 10 goalscorers.
  25. No pace - or goals - in that side whatsoever.
