  1. Arguably, we already have ticket flexibility. It's called a match ticket. The problem is that our match tickets are too expensive, because our season tickets are too expensive to begin with.
  2. His targets should be set against growing income AND on numbers sold. ie the same as most businesses.
  3. They may get a bump at the end of the month after pay days, but yes, it's looking poor.
  4. Waggott has had 12 months to address the debacle of last year's approach to season tickets, but has chosen to do nothing of substance to increase numbers. Nothing will change until he's gone. It's not in his personal interest to do so.
  5. Lots of green? Hardly. We've seen our club achieve things you can't even dream of.
  6. I bought ours yesterday after thinking long and hard. It's still just about worth it financially, despite us missing 2 or 3 games. The following season will be more questionable though Being asked to stump up £600 whilst knowing there's going to be plenty of games shifted, may be a no. With the advent of the new TV deal, this surely rings the death knell for traditional season tickets. Fans are being asked/told to be more flexible in when they can attend, so it should follow that clubs offer more flexible ticketing solutions. Probably not at BRFC though.
  7. An important point for ST holders.... We'll still be asked to buy our season tickets (in April/May) before the televised fixtures are announced (probably in July or whenever fixtures are released). So as far as season tickets goes, we'll effectively have no more notice than we have now. ie we'll still be asked to buy STs before we know what the TV schedule looks like.
  8. A couple of shots of the old Ewood here... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/extra/DqkhZA6FP7/around-the-92-in-the-1980s A nice article. (be forewarned, there's also a photo of The Turd)
  9. I was there. We didn't hang around after the game, put it that way,
  10. The pricing strategy for the Riverside backs up the theory that Waggott wants to shut it down.
  11. I was talking on Monday to 3 guys who sit near me in the JWU; all 3 have renewed already. A chap who bought a half season ticket with his son has done the same. All anecdotal of course though as you say, and the proof will be in the pudding. My guess is that we'll see similar numbers to this season.
  12. My conclusion is that they're edging TK out because they want to sell him.
  13. That's the nub of it to me. We have two thirds of a decent side. What they do in summer will tell us everything about the 'project'.
  14. You've been pretty adamant for months that we did the right thing by not selling Brereton, but now you're seemingly of the opinion that we should sell Wharton.
  15. I totally agree. People say that Dolan is 'developing'. Developing into what, exactly? He can't shoot, can't head, can't cross, never beats his man, is easily brushed off, constantly gives the ball away.... His redeeming feature is that he runs around a lot.
  16. What exactly is the £2 for? It's all computerised and automated, so it's not like it's costing an employees time. I know it's only pennies to us in the grand scheme, but that's a few grand overall the club will get for doing naff all. Rip off.
  17. It's the same old story. Do the lazy thing and fleece the ST base to hit the revenue numbers, but make no effort to increase revenue elsewhere.
  18. I think a membership type scheme is the way forward. Pay an amount at season start to secure your seat, then pay an amount for a ticket per individual match. If you don't buy a ticket say 24 hours before KO, then your seat is freed up.
  19. I very rarely watch PL matches, but for a change of scenery I decided to switch on the City/Arsenal game. Embarassing half and half scarves everywhere. What has become of the City fan base?
  20. I had a couple sat behind me in the JWU. B*stard this, b*stard that....absolute no nowt goons. Constantly kicking our seats & verbally abusing/threatening the ST holding lad sat next to them. They got their just desserts when a steward threw them out.
  21. I do. It's all about presenting a united front, as they would do with any signing.
