  1. What's mind boggling is the total refusal of some folk to question the club in any way.
  2. If Tomasson changes the formation to be a bit more defensive, we should get something out of the game. If he carries on as-is, we'll likely concede and lose the game.
  3. Some players get injured a lot because they're never fully fit. And they're never fully fit, because they get injured all the time. I suspect that Ennis is in this category.
  4. I'm not saying that it isn't a good move for him, I think it is. Rather, I was questioning another of Chaddy's conflicting views; in this instance, the Bundesliga vs the PL, the latter of which he's historically regarded as the be-all-and-end-all of world football.
  5. Tomasson himself questioned the state of Ennis' fitness on arrival. A simple V02 type test would have show this up, if indeed they bothered to do one.
  6. Due to the terrible window and increasing injury list, we're now in a position where Tomasson is rushing Ennis back into the squad. What could possibly go wrong?
  7. So it's a good move for 'footballing reasons' for him to join Bayern and play a few CL games, a competition he may or not win, rather than play every week in 'the best league in the world' at a club who are also in the CL.
  8. I thought you were of the opinion that the PL is 'the best league in the world'?
  9. We've lost 4 out of the last 5, conceding 15 goals in the process. I dread to think what playing poorly would look like.
  10. Ennis could be one of those who's never 100% fit cos he's always recovering from injury, and then gets injured playing when not 100% fit. So a vicious cycle.
  11. Terrible window. We needlessly spunked most of our budget on a reserve goalie; Ennis is a crock; Tronstad looks way off so far; the German is a million miles off However, Sigurrson looks promising, Moran is learning on the job with us and looks a prospect for Brighton; jury out on Hill who looked decent against Cardiff.
  12. If we set up as we have been doing, we'll lose again. If Tomasson recognises that he needs to stiffen the midfield up, we may get a draw.
  13. To me, he doesn't look suited to the English game. It's too quick for him.
  14. I genuinely think we're heading straight on into a relegation scrap. We're so easy to play against and so easy to scrore against. Tomasson needs to swallow his pride and look to grind out a few draws.
  15. Involuntarily laughting at the idea that a top 5 English club would touch Tomasson with a barge pole. Andd absolutely pissing myself laughing at the notion that he'll be managing in the top flight with Rovers.
  16. Ibrox would be a good move for Tomasson.
  17. Someone described the Rovers to me the other day as now being a 'pointless club'. I pondered on it for a day or so, before realising what they meant. There's no ambition here, other than to just about exist, to get running costs down to bare bones, to stay just above FFP, sell an odd player here and there when it hits the fan, and hopefully keep plodding along low-mid table without getting relegated. This is what we've got to look forward to under these owners and execs.
  18. But, but, but....we would have been stupid to sell Diaz whilst we were challenging for the top 6........
  19. The point, Chaddy, is that there is massive financial discrepancy between the PL clubs and the rest of the football pyramid. That's why beneath the PL and the parachute payment clubs, football in England is in such a financial mess, If you don't see, understand, or agree with this, that's your perogative. But when at the same time you're rubbishing the Euro Super League, which was set up for the sole purpose of financially rewarding the supposed 'elite' clubs don't forget, then I find your viewpoint rather hypocritical.
  20. In spite of it being an enjoyable game, the atmosphere was non-existent, compounded by the decision to shut the BBE and effectively split up our 'singers'. Fair play to the 200 or so Cardiff fans, who made a good effort I thought.
  21. I really enjoyed it last night, it was a very entertaining game of football from both sides I thought. Moran, Sigursson and Markanday were all very good. On the not so good...to put it politely, Telavonic is best described as 'wooden' going off last night's showing,
  22. I'm sure that the billboard sponsor over the Riverside half way line at the last game was The Footy Curry. Fair play to them, but I can't imagine that brings in much dosh.
  23. For a supposed e-commerce operation, what an absolute shambles. The outage must be for non-technical reasons. Waggot, just go. You're done.
  24. Anyone else get the feeling that things are conspiring against us? Hedges is IMO a poor player, but he's another body down in addition to Ennis & Gallagher, meaning that we're even more reliant on the likes of Dolan. We could well be looking over our shoulders in a couple of games.
  25. As otherrs have suggested, it would be very interesting to see from the club exactly what they expect these cost savings to be, and how the numbers were derived. It;s all a smoke screen IMO.
