  1. Ordinarily, no. The trouble here though, is that we'll likely get lumbered with a replacement who's even worse.
  2. I call bollocks on that supposed 'jigsaw'. If they genuinely saw it as a 'failed investment', then they'd cut their losses and run. The longer it goes on, then the more money they lose etc etc...that's basic business sense. There's other reasons beyond financial ones as to why they hang on.
  3. Anyone who follows Nixon is quite frankly, dim. Anyone who actually pays for his guff is certifiable.
  4. The only thing that will irk the masses is failure on the pitch.
  5. The writing has been on the wall for months. Esutace saw it coming and jumped ship as soon as he could. We are only ever one poor managerial appointment away from disaster. This looks like it's the one. On the pitch, at least, it's all coming to a head.
  6. 4 of these 6 supposed 'good signings' wil be gone in 2 months. That leaves us with 2 or 3, out of what, 13? Hardly 'good' at all, I'd suggest.
  7. So you think he's recruited well, a position which in itself is highly debatable. But everything else about his role, you've no idea.
  8. So you think 'Gestede has done well', but that the club should have been 'alot more transparent....about what Gestede has done'. So which is it?
  9. I think we'll get a draw tonight. I'm expecting a tight, fractious match with not a lot of quality on show. 1-1
  10. Some people just have an inability to think rationally or critically.
  11. IMO it doesn't matter who the manager is; the place is set up to fail and we'll at best tread water. We can only hope that whoever is in the manager's seat has enough about them to keep us afloat. We're one bad manager away from oblivion.
  12. The irony is that if a number of supporters brought 'Venkys Out' placards into the ground and waved them aloft, they'd undoubtedly get hounded out with 'Get behind the team FFS' nonsense.
  13. 'Thousands in a mile long march' according to the report on the BBC.
  14. Realistically, the best that I expect these days is that we don't get relegated, in the vain hope that The Idiots will one day disappear and that better days will come.
  15. The writing has been on the wall for a while since our early season form started to dissipate. Eustace saw what was coming and jumped ship as soon as he could. We can only hope that this new guy has enough about him to keep the ship afloat. Next season will be a massive challenge for him.
  16. More choice for the armchair viewer, you mean.
  17. It's fine though, us supporters were all told months ago what was going to happen, so there's nothing to moan about. Chaddy says so.
  18. Perhaps they're UK tax payers and are taking advantage of tax relief on pension contributions.
  19. No one is saying that we should have got £70 million for him. Rather, the point being made is that we should have got a heck of a lot more than the measly sum that we did get.
  20. 'Ludicrous' is one of the few things that the club is good at.... 🙂
  21. It wouldn't surprise me if the big jump in salary/pension was a 'golden handcuffs' type of arrangement before he heads off into the sunset. Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking.
  22. So basically they'll just keep the lights on through continual cost cutting and player sales. Great.
  23. 'There's none so blind as those who will not see'.
