  1. Back on topic. Last minute decision to head down to Horwich. We should be playing out strongest team today as should Bolton, so we should get a more realistic picture of where we're at. COYB
  2. 1. No - he'll leave at the end of the season 2. No - he'll be gone by November amidst the first death spiral 3. Kaminski 4. 18th 5. Fulham
  3. Spot on. There was no value whatsover in giving Downing, Evans et al game time towards the end of the season. Mowbray would have known that they were leaving. Pathetic.
  4. I'm clinging to the hope that he leaves or gets potted in time for a new guy to come in and do a rescue act. I can't see us getting many points from the first few games, so the pressure may mount fairly quickly. I could be wishful thinking though I guess....
  5. Exactly. People who don't take accountability usually try and deflect the blame on to others.
  6. Reach is probably weighing up his options, stringing it out as long as he can to get the best deal for himself. After his latest excuse making of the squad being too young, If Mowbray just ends up doing his usual of loaning other clubs' young players, then he's going to look an even bigger fool than usual. We need players with experience and presence to help our young players along.
  7. Travis was in the JW; saw him at half time. Presumably he's injured.
  8. As a relative newcomer to this site... Compared to most internet discussion boards/forums etc, it's obvious that there are people behind the scenes putting in time and effort to maintain the integrity of the site from which we all benefit. Here, we're not exposed to vitriol, we only see a modicum of poor language or agressiveness, messages are moderated, and debate is generally enjoyable. I appreciate that. I'd gladly hand over a beer token each month if that helps to maintain the experience. If people want 'free', I suggest they look first at comparable sites to see what 'free' gets you. Maybe try the LT reader comments sections first.
  9. I enjoyed being back in my seat and watching a live match with a suprisingly decent atmosphere. The youngsters played well in the main, but we need some experience and presence in the side, or we'll struggle over time.
  10. Yes. I'd rather the money went direct rather than through Google or whoever.
  11. According to the guy at the ticket office at lunchtime, they're expecting a 50/50 attendance tonight, so 9-10k I imagine. Leeds sold out in an hour.
  12. I've just been down to get tickets for tonight and for a home shirt for my daughter. She wore a small adult shirt last season; same again with the new one. It seems decent quality. There was a good number of people milling around.
  13. Nice job 👍
  14. I don't think that it will take that long.
  15. Didn't he make his debut in the same game as Simon Barker?
  16. Let's hope it's someone in the middle who knows how to put his foot in. That midfield at Bradford was as weak as you know what.
  17. Try the World Health Organisation, for starters.
  18. I used the work 'accountable' in a post elsewhere. That's the trouble with the club IMO. The people who should be accountable aren't, nor are they being held to account by those who should be doing so.
  19. A natural reaction to being criticised or to be accused of failure, is to blame other people. It's called not being accountable. This could be Maggott/Mowbray blaming others for their own failures, who in turn are walking away. 'Sorry Madam. We failed last season because the pitch our groundsman laid was crap; our players weren't fit enough because the fitness coach didn't train them properly; our recruitment team didn't find good enough players... Well get rid of them for you.'
  20. Apart from Annesley, have we recently had any non-domestic players coming through the academy?
  21. Getting the vaccine not only reduces the chances of you getting infected, it also reduces the likelihood of you infecting someone else. I call that personal responsibility. These liberal 'I'll do what I want types' can go ahead and do what they want, we live in a democratic society after all. But don't come anywhere near me or my at-risk family, thanks all the same.
  22. Season tickets renewed for my daughter and I. Perhaps against my better judgement, but I won't let this lot get in the way of something I've done since 1975 when my Dad took me to see us beat Plymouth 5-2 from the old Riverside stand, and the bug bit.
  23. At some point in the season, it conceivably could be. They'd get mullered by a half decent side.
