  1. My season ticket cost £90 when I was a junior. That was to watch a top ten Premier League team who were in Europe. And I didn’t realise that 12th place was the top of the division.
  2. The difference between us now and where we were in the 80's is that we actually had ambition back then. The club genuinely had little to no money yet still had aspirations of promotion and even winning trophies. Now we have owners who are supposedly billionaires yet we are in a worse place than where we were back then. Crumbling infrastructure, sub standard pitch and zero desire for anything better than mid table mediocre anonymity. The whole situation is totally unacceptable.
  3. The problems they have with FFP are entirely of their own making. The amount of revenue the club generates is unacceptably low. The owners invest as little as possible. The stae of the pitch and the deterioration of the stadium are proof of this. Investment in these areas is not subject to FFP. Our piss poor performances and league positions over the last 11 years are the symptoms. The owners are the disease.
  4. If we are not in the Premier League by the summer then Mowbray should definitely be gone. Whether that happens or not is yet to be seen. The question is of course, who would be his replacement? Firstly, there is not likely to be a big wage on offer. Then there is the reality of attracting someone who will have something about them that can offer us more than just meandering around in the second division. They will have to do a total squad rebuild, likely with little to no funds. What can Rovers offer to anyone coming in? We are a club with no ambition, no drive, no desire no heart, no soul and no purpose. We are marching into our second decade of disgrace. We are a joke, a shadow of what we used to be and the owners have shown no ambition to do anything other than potter about in the middle of this piss poor league.
  5. Remember when we were the "bully boys"? We seemed to win quite a bit back then.
  6. He had a genuine personality and it always shone through.
  7. This was another belter of an episode. Yasir sounds like a top bloke and it's great to see the club are actually making some real effort to get people from the town to come down and support their local team. It's important to get the message out there to the young kids, your town, your team. Also been fun looking back at our league cup win. What an epic experience that was. I feel absolutely blessed to have been there for that. Just think of how many of those so called big teams can't say they've been to a major cup final and won...... We can.
  8. John Coltrane - A Love Supreme Pt. 1; Acknowledgement
  9. It's a bit early to be talking about this don't you think? We have no idea how far down the table we are going to fall yet and that will be a big factor in signings.
  10. That's the biggest load of bollocks I've heard since vertical passing.
  11. Basically Reading are doing more to entice Rovers fans to come to a match than Rovers are.
  12. Breaking his legs in the first five minutes should deal with that.
  13. Will there be a win by a slim margin or an absolute pasting???? 🤔
  14. We won quite a few games by one goal and if you see the build up to a lot of those goals Dolan was the one who won possession by being a pain in the ass to the opposition. He's a certain start for me in any game.
