  1. Once again Burnley doing a tuppence worth imitation of the mighty Rovers, this time by spending big to win a league title. Only its a second tier title. If you're going to buy a trophy, at least buy a good one.
  2. That's what I was trying to say but when I look at my post I didn't say any of that. It's not really the defeats, its the gutless performances and the insistence in playing a style that has been proven time and time and time again to be nothing other than a complete disaster.
  3. Giles would have been good if that tosser didn't play him on the right wing. And he didn't even play Hedges.
  4. The "our ground's too big for us" mob need to take a good look at this picture because you can clearly see that our ground is too small here.
  5. I agree that for Burnley not to get promoted at this stage would take some absolute madness to occur. You should be expecting promotion, you've paid enough for it after all 😉
  6. Eek-A-Mouse - Ganja Smuggling
  7. I genuinely believe the intent is for us to endlessly float around in this division. Like a turd in a septic tank that refuses to either sink to the bottom or find it's way out to the effluent field.
  8. What has upset me in particular is being embarrassed in local derbies. It was all so avoidable as well. The aimless passing around in our own area is absolute madness and the persistence in trying this really makes me wonder whether the manager is up to the task as it is blindingly obvious that it is not working. I'm not really bothered about being entertained, I'm not going to complain about whether or not the football is pretty. I just want to see something that works and if what we're trying clearly doesn't work then we do something different.
  9. A natural decline would have been easy to stomach. Basically to be successful now you need to be bankrolled by billionaire oligarchs or war criminal nation states. What has happened to this club is someone came and ripped the place apart from the inside out. In twelve years there has not been one single thing done to rectify this.
  10. I've been re-watching The Wire. For anybody who hasn't seen this series I couldn't recommend it enough. It is the best American TV production ever created.
  11. Well said. The people at this club need a reality check. Give them a year on minimum wage living hand to mouth.
  12. They are up the top end of the table at the moment. We know how that story plays out though....
  13. Just seen that the red scum are on the market. Come on Venkys, now is a great time to cash in and sell a football club.
  14. Forgot what a great album this is.
  15. Believe it or not, not every post on this forum is addressed to you personally. And you are accusing others of doing exactly what you are doing yourself. Projection.
  16. Velvet Underground - I'm Waiting For The Man
  17. I'm chomping at the bit to get rid of him.
  18. It will be a good day for sure. I wouldn't get too excited though, he'll just be replaced by some other odious turd that is equally repugnant.
  19. For the last fucking time, nobody is complaining about our league position. The reason for mine and many others discontent is the absolutely unacceptable performances we have put in against many teams this year, not least in THREE local derbies, and the outright dismissal of any promotion aspirations despite us being 3rd in the league. This last point is what has really grated me. If we'd have played with some bollocks and tried something other than the suicidal passing the ball around our own box we may have been able to scrape a few more points from these games and be looking at the top two instead of the rest of the pack that are rapidly catching us up. If you are brushing off the games against Wigan, Burnley and Preston as 'just a couple of bad performances' then I question how much of a fan you really are. I demand nothing less than total commitment from everything and everybody associated with the club when it comes to these fixtures.
  20. If the choice was between that and starting again I know which one I would pick. Sadly we won't get to choose.
  21. I don't think they put that much thought into it
  22. That can't be right. It takes at least three years for a manager to be able to get a team to consistently perform well.
  23. You get 24 points as well as bragging rights. You get nothing for losing eight derbies by giving totally gutless performances. The mental gymnastics going on round here really are something to behold.
