I know a couple of people who have sold businesses. We're talking around 1-2 million max for the lot, nothing on the scale of a multi million pound football club. It's a really thorough process, every bit of financial information is needed. Every invoice or docket that you signed without thinking about, it all needs to be handed over and presented. They've sold the house now so why not the club? Skeletons in the closet perhaps? I'm not saying it's a certainty but it's likely one of the reasons.

Yeah forgot about the systematic degradation of the club we love. Forget about how a solid mid table Premier League club has been deliberately run down over the course of fourteen years to the point where even staying in the championship is seen as some sort of achievement. Forget about how we've been made a total laughing stock by repeatedly sabotaging deadline day transfer deals and leaving players in total limbo. Forget about how we sold a once in a generation talent, a home grown player and boyhood fan of the club to the first bidder at less than half his actual value. Forget about how we've brought in over 25 million quid in transfer fees and not signed a single player when we actually need a complete squad rebuild. Forget about how we've not only not beaten our local rivals for the last fourteen years, we've not even scored a goal against them in six years. Forget about all that doom and gloom bullshit. You're all just being negative Nancys. GET BEHIND THE LADZ FFS!!!

I think the manager or head coach should be from the nation they are representing. I don't see why the qualification should be any different from the way players are selected. You pick the best available. If Howe or Potter is the best England have then so be it. Maybe there should be some impetus to develop better coaches.

Possibly the last thread for a while about this league. We're all but guaranteed to be relegated this season and there is no telling how long it will be before we return even to the second tier.
